Here is yet another inane attack on President Obama that ignores ISIS being bombed and its top leaders being killed as the president works to build an international consensus to further attack the extremist group.

“One person asked me about this foolishness where the president is trying to change the name of the Washington Redskins. And it is a sad state of affairs for our commander-in-chief that we know what President Obama’s plan is for the name of the Washington Redskins — he wants to change it, we know his plan — but we don’t know what his plan is to deal with a major threat to American national security,” Scalise told the Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins.

“I think it’s just indicative of the lack of focus and priorities that this president’s had, that he won’t lay out that plan but we know what some of his other plans are that have nothing to do with the problems facing this country.”

The Louisiana congressman called on Obama to state clearly that he wants to “take out” ISIS — which, in fact, the president has said repeatedly — and to learn from Ronald Reagan’s simple foreign policy agenda: “We win, they lose.”

14 responses to GOP Congressman: Obama Too Busy Changing Redskins Name To Fight ISIS

This guy apparently has no concept of ‘multitasking’ — in other words, he’s your typical simple-minded member of the House Republican caucus.

Not only is Scalise an idiot, but what Commander-in-Chief in his right mind would make his strategy in dealing with these sub-human ISIS characters public?

      • labman57 September 4th, 2014 at 7:21 pm

Well you know the standard Republican rhetoric regarding this form of criticism of Obama:
They’ll damn him if he does (discuss strategical details) and they’ll damn him if he doesn’t.

If Obama showed up at a press conference with the head of Abu Bakr al-Baghadi on a silver platter, the RWNJs would complain that the platter wasn’t made of gold.

BTW, just 3 hours ago, it was reported that air strikes killed 3 high ranking ISIS leaders including al-Baghadi’s right hand man.I wonder who ordered those strikes??

I’m embarrassed to admit that this guy is my representative.

    • tiredoftea September 4th, 2014 at 5:51 pm

And, you have no plan to change that?

      • neworleans878 September 4th, 2014 at 6:18 pm

Will work for his Democratic opponent, either Dugas or Mendoza…haven’t made up my mind…to be honest, I’ll go with who ever has the best chance against Scalise, who I can’t stand.

Sadly, it’s a very uphill battle.

Yes, the latest fringe right wing earworm is Obama and no plan. Never mind that he’s carrying it out, that he did outline his plan. But, hey, it’s much easier to repeat what another fringe idiot said than to STFU.

  7. whatthe46 September 4th, 2014 at 6:40 pm

    why do they keep talking?

  8. liberalMD September 4th, 2014 at 6:43 pm

President Obama has had numerous issues he’s had to address in the absence of a legislative branch of the federal government and has done amazingly well for a one-man show.

Perhaps Congressman Scalise would like to tell us what he’s done over the past six weeks. Or what Congress has done over the past eighteen months. Or what he’s done since he was elected to Congress in the past six years.
