ISIS Uses Poem About 72 Virgins To Recruit
Tarek Mehanna (pictured), now doing 17 years in prison, wrote a poem in 2008 that is being used for recruiting purposes.

The ode, which includes the promise of 72 virgins with “round and firm chests,” was distributed online. It still pops up to recruit Westerns to the life of jihad. It reads:
“Make Martyrdom What You Seek”
The bullets hit your hearts like the stings of a bee
You fall on your face as all you can seeAre the Gardens so wide when you’re put in the ground
You’ve been searching for years and now you have foundThe Ultimate Prize, so sacred, so sweet.
Your bargain with your Lord is finally complete,Because you are all martyrs without fear or grief

The Prophets, the righteous and those who are truthful,Al-Firdaws, where those of the Right Hand shall meet

You are relaxed by the rivers flowing everywhere,Water, milk and honey gushing forth non-stop
So thick and delicious you want to devour each drop,You drink so much you almost end up falling
Into the flowing current, then you hear voices calling,You turn and behold! The voices are singing
Coming from Maidens so fair and enchanting,These are the Hoorees with round and firm chests
Pure untouched virgins, they’re better than the best,Seventy-two in all, with large eyes of dark hue

My guess is, it probably has something to do with the 72 tarot cards. The cards are symbols that reflect life more or less unadulterated by people with agendas. When you die you will see the truth for what it really is, unadulterated.

I looked into it a little bit. From what I can tell, my off the cuff guess seems to make more sense than anything I found. Religion is that way though, always being rewritten so it can be used to control people rather than just help with understanding that which can’t be understood.

What kind of Heaven you invent tells a lot about you. The Christains pimp being in the
presence of god, which is lame enough. This guy disses “women, children, and money” but what’s he think is better? A garden, a throne, jewels, lots of pussy. He sounds like a drug lord.

being that eternity is going to be for a long long time, 72 just doesn’t add up to be nearly as much as they’re making it out to be.
72/forever and forever = not a whole damn lot!
also, noticing there’s a lot of food consumption (standard for most paradises) without any sh*tters won’t be much of a desirable place after 24 hours with building discomfort thereafter. Better to be in this life with a roll of Charmin than in their paradise with a heavy ass crown loaded with jewels and no place to recycle, I say.

That’s a well known typo in the Koran. It’s raisins not virgins as was pointed out in a fatwa by Robin Williams.
