Tennessee Mom Accidentally Shoots Baby While Aiming For The Father
A baby was caught in the crossfire between her parents In Tennessee and is now recovering after she was “accidentally” shot by her mother. Naturally, no charges have been charged.
Murfreeboro police on Sunday night responded to a report of a shot fired.
[su_center_ad]When police arrived on the scene, they found a woman inside with a 9mm handgun and blood in the hallway outside the front door.
According to police, they believe the mother pulled out the gun during a heated argument with her boyfriend, who is the father of her 14-month-old daughter.
“The two were involved in a verbal and then physical confrontation with the use of deadly force,” Kyle Evans with the Murfreesboro Police Dept. said.
Police said the woman fired a single round at her boyfriend and in a bizarre twist the same bullet hit both the child and her father.
News Channel 5 reports, “The police incident report showed the bullet hit the boyfriend in the groin then traveled through him and struck their one-year-old child, who was sitting several yards away, in the rear-end.”
“It’s the innocent survivors that get hurt that really get your heartstrings going,” Kim Reynolds, a domestic abuse counselor in Murfreesboro said.
“Was she fighting back? Was he an abuser?” Reynolds wondered.
The baby was rushed to a local children’s hospital and is expected to be okay.
The father’s condition is not known at this time.
Police are still investigating whether this is a case of self-defense or an aggravated assault.

You mean she is not going to get 25+ years in jail? The young lady in Florida, did a warning shot. She didn’t even aim at the father of her child.. She is in jail. Serving lots of time.

ain’t that some chit? thankfully she’s out right now awaiting a possible new trial. first off fk the DA for even considering retrying this case. she had a restraining order on him to begin with. i always said, if she had just killed his ass, she could have claimed self-defense and had been done with it. but, of course not wanting to, if it could be avoided, killing the father of her children was a better option, you’d think she wouldn’t have ever been charged. wanna guess the difference?

All because it was “natural” to defend herself with the holy 2nd amendment right to do WTF ever you want with a firearm. Doesn’t the GOP trot the theme that this is one of those god given ‘natural’ rights?

There are some scenarios where shooting at him would be appropriate, and other scenarios where it wouldn’t have been, so I’ll wait for update/all the facts to come out.
