Reportedly Shoots And Kills Daughter, 6 Grandchildren
[su_right_ad]The man is identified as 51-year-old Don Spirit. Dead are his daughter Sarah Spirit and his six grandchildren, and Spirit, himself, who took his own life.
The Gilcrist County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the shooting, which occurred in the town of Bell, Florida, on its Facebook page…
A reporter for the ABC affiliate in Gainsville, Florida posted the names of the alleged shooter and victim on Twitter:

yes, I believe the families could. The mentally ill show signs and warnings that family members see. I feel for them but never allow unstable people around guns. The type of anger and despair that would allow someone to do this would be evident….so sad

“Donald Spirit has a criminal record, Schultz said, but declined to confirm his previous charges. The gunman reportedly pleaded guilty to to shooting his eight-year-old son in in a 2003 hunting accident.” that photo is from a 2001 arrest… not the 2003 arrest.

he did, he plead down to illegal possesion of a firearm and served 3 years. He was not legally able to own a firearm, yet he did

no, he received a hunting license…hunting can and is done by bow, he is a 2 time felon and not allowed to have a gun legally

“The sheriff told reporters the children ranged in age from 3 months to 10 years.” other reports states he placed a 911 call and when police arrived he (chicken sh’t bastard) killed himself. apparently there were other incidences that went on at the home previously. i wish that his daughter had been able to find some place else to shelter those babies. one other thing, he was a convicted felon… need i say more?

Years ago this man was jailed for violence and killing his 8 year old son on a hunting trip. He said it was an accident and was showing the “rust” on the gun to his son and it went off. He was arrested for beating that child and has spent time in jail for violence and abuse. He was NOT allowed to own or carry a gun because of a felony arrest and conviction. This guy has a history of violent behavior and killing family members
