Convicted felon Dinesh D’Souza says he is the victim of a government that wants to shut him up.

Despite finally admitting that he broke the law, D’Souza still claims that he is the victim of a government hit job. “I didn’t want the government to to [sic] be successful in shutting me up.”

He told WorldNetDaily:

“I am contrite for what I did, and I tried to express that,” he said. “But I also tried at the same time not to allow the case to deter me from making public criticism of the Obama administration.”

“I didn’t want the government to to [sic] be successful in shutting me up,” he said. “I wanted to continue to speak out candidly and uninhibitedly. I did that.”…

D’Souza said that if the Obama administration is “successful in being able to immobilize its critics, that sends a shiver of fear throughout the country, and it actually undermines the freedom of speech that is essential in democracy.”[su_csky_ad]

You did the crime, now do the time asshat. You’re still running your ignorant pie-hole today so your argument makes no sense as usual you fool.

  2. forpeace September 24th, 2014 at 5:47 pm

Great, the convicted felon is blaming the government for his own crimes!

    – You made the illegal political contributions to a 2012 United States Senate campaign.
    – You were indicted for that.
    – You pleaded guilty in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York to a charge of using “straw donors” to make illegal political campaign donations.
    – You avoided prison time and are sentenced to eight months in a community confinement center, five years parole, and a $30,000 fine.

You are lucky enough not to be locked up in a prison cell where you belong to.

    Sheesh!

he also cheated on his wife and abused her, the reason for the divorce.
Still held up as a paragon of christian values.

“Family values” conservative style, on display~!

    • StoneyCurtisll September 24th, 2014 at 7:17 pm

I hate to nip-pick, please forgive me..:)
      it’s 5 years of ‘probation’..
There is no parole in the federal system.

Thank you for letting me know, greatly appreciate it.
I read the information in my original comment form a different news link, but after reading you reply, I did check the same article from Reuters, and you are absolutely correct. I fixed my comment.

        • StoneyCurtisll September 24th, 2014 at 8:26 pm

          It’s all good…
I just didn’t want to come across as some sort of a-hole..:)

          • forpeace September 24th, 2014 at 8:35 pm

No, not all, thank you. 😉
I always provide the accurate information in my comments, and I have no problem with posters who mention something that might not be correct in my comment.

But, I know what you mean because there were times I corrected some posters who posted something that was not true or accurate, and they became really nasty.

            Thank you~!
I’m kind of new to this site, (about a week now) and I really like the people..
And the lack of trolls is wonderful~!
And on site moderators is something to behold..:)
I came here from MMfA which has become a virtual troll fest due to lack of moderators..
            It became intolerable.

          • forpeace September 24th, 2014 at 9:57 pm

            You’re most welcome.
I’m even newer than you are to this site, I was reading the articles for couple of months before I decided to start posting here yesterday. 😉

Previously, I have been posting on Huffington Post for 7+ years, but I left HP back in December due to its new Facebook policy. Yes, I can’t stand the trolls, but they are everywhere these days, the less trolls the better in my opinion, I just don’t have the time and energy to deal with them. I still post on couple of good articles on Raw Story, but I’m so disappointed with RS’s “click attraction” useless articles.

          • Hirightnow September 25th, 2014 at 12:27 am

            The trolls come here, Stoney…
            They just don’t last.

Even as a biased Zappa fan, I have to say that album cover is the best ever.

  4. BillTheCat45 September 24th, 2014 at 5:56 pm

No, actually – MOST people want him to shut up. It’s one thing people agree on.

  5. forpeace September 24th, 2014 at 5:58 pm

I wish I could cover your mouth with duct tape just to shut you up.

  6. mea_mark September 24th, 2014 at 6:07 pm

I bet the RWNJs believe everything he is saying and don’t comprehend one bit that he is actually still talking.

    • New Old Gnu September 24th, 2014 at 6:29 pm

Those, on “The Right” who LOVE being “Victims” will somehow MISS the Little FACT that if he WAS being Suppressed No One would KNOW what he’s Saying !!

  7. forpeace September 24th, 2014 at 6:08 pm

The criminal said “that if the Obama administration is successful in being able to immobilize its critics, that sends a shiver of fear throughout the country.”

No, if the Obama administrations was successful in being able to immobilize its critics, then criminals like yourself wouldn’t have been able to talk anymore.

More victimhood trolling from an admitted felon and proven liar. Only the Kool-Aid drinkers believe this drivel.

  9. forpeace September 24th, 2014 at 6:13 pm

    Translation:

I broke the law, I made the illegal political contributions, but it is government’s fault, and I am the victim.

At least he didn’t blame his crimes on Benghazi!

  11. M D Reese September 24th, 2014 at 6:20 pm

Oh I SOO hope that he screws up and ends up in jail anyway.

      DITTO : )

      • M D Reese September 24th, 2014 at 10:39 pm

I’m guessing his ego will do him in. A lot of judges don’t like it when people say one thing in court, and another thing to the press.

        • New Old Gnu September 24th, 2014 at 10:47 pm

UNLESS they’re Cops : ) ….. Judges ALWAYS give THEM a “Pass” on LYING …. In Court or Out : )

  12. New Old Gnu September 24th, 2014 at 6:21 pm

Poor POOR Conservative “Mouthpiece” !! .. ALWAYS the “Victim” … NEXT “Bill-O” will cite THIS as “Proof” of “Obama’s War on Christmas” : ) : )

    “I Fought the LAW …………. And the LAW Won” !! : )

  14. tiredoftea September 24th, 2014 at 7:06 pm

Dinesh on WND! That’s like their version of the “Cone of Silence” where their voices just bounce around inside of it forever.

    • New Old Gnu September 24th, 2014 at 7:19 pm

      In THEIR Case ….. It’s a “Tin Foil” Cone !! : )

  15. StoneyCurtisll September 24th, 2014 at 7:09 pm

Just how has D’Souza been silenced?
He still has the right to free speech..(and be a stupid as he ever was)
He only whats his followers to believe he doesn’t.

    • ChrisVosburg September 24th, 2014 at 8:01 pm

Yes, Dinesh can go right back to telling us that election fraud is an epidemic in this country and the government needs to do something about it.

  16. Obewon September 24th, 2014 at 7:11 pm

Proving GOP Family values is pleading guilty to Felony illegal 2012 campaign donations! In 2012 the Purple-belt wife beater D’Souza karate kicked his wife in her head and shoulder! Conservatives silence the sane, broadcast and enbrace their looniest nutcases

  17. forpeace September 24th, 2014 at 8:02 pm

Judge Richard Berman also ordered D’Souza undergo weekly therapy.

Who is paying for his therapy?

If it is taxpayers, then I don’t want my tax dollars being used for this guy’s therapy.

    • StoneyCurtisll September 24th, 2014 at 9:10 pm

If D’Souza was court ordered to attend therapy, he is responsible to pay for it himself.
It’s a condition of probation that he or anyone else pay for their terms of probation, which might include substance abuse testing, any classes or therapy that the court orders them to undergo and the monthly fee of showing up at the probation office to “check in”..(usually $25-$50 per visit per month)

      Small change for D’Souza..

But for a normal person, it can really add up, and if not paid upon demand, get you a probation violation and land you in jail.
I have been through “the system” and know how it works..:)

  18. majii September 24th, 2014 at 8:54 pm

It was Preet Bharara who brought D’Souza down and turned him into a convicted felon. The only reason I can think of for why D’Souza keeps invoking the president’s name in this mess is because Mr. Bharara is an Obama appointee. He’s running to every GOPTP far right media outlet to claim he’s been persecuted by President Obama. Hell, if President Obama wanted his *ss persecuted, he sure did a bad job of it because D’Souza won’t be going to a federal prison where he belongs.

  19. tracey marie September 24th, 2014 at 9:53 pm

the ego that allows him to whine such a thing and believe the President even notices him is amazing

    • New Old Gnu September 24th, 2014 at 10:14 pm

The PRESIDENT, Wisely, Couldn’t Care Less what this Guy OR his “Three Brain-celled” Fan-base “Thinks” : )

  20. RK Johnston September 24th, 2014 at 10:12 pm

Trust me, if the Feds wanted to shut D’Souza up, they would have done so already.
    Permanently, at that!
