President Obama displayed the treasonous act of drinking coffee in public today. It’s all true. Obama saluted the Marines while holding a latte.

[su_center_ad]Republicans are fundraising off of the President’s coffee salute.

There’s a website set up called SemperLatte.com which reads, “Our Commander-in-Chief should take the time to properly salute our nation’s heroes in uniform. They do it for him.”

The NRSC’s site continues to say, “Unfortunately, his disregard is part of a larger pattern.”

“If you want to send a message to this White House that you’ve had enough, fill out this form and get your free bumper sticker.”

That form links to a request for donations which go to various Republican candidates running in the November elections.

George W. Bush totally not saluting the Marines while holding his dog.

Mediate notes, “It is unclear how much the Semper Latte incident could raise, but it’ll have to compete with the $2.1 million the Democrats raised after Sarah Palin called for Obama’s impeachment.”

Apples, meet oranges.

I guess that whole Benghazi-gate “scandal” is on the back burner now. [su_csky_ad]

When you really stop and think about it, this story actually IS more profound than the GOP’s image, accomplishments and their 2016 hopefuls.

Umm, we have no clue, no ideas and no vision for solutions to the numerous critical issues facing America. But if you hate the President send us money anyway.

George W. Bush french kissed a Saudi king, and then performed oral sex on him in the bushes….but that’s cool with the GOP.

Not to mention getting them out of the country on 9/11

At worst, President Obama screwed up a salute. Only in this country can we have a political party so deranged to harp on on trivial nonsense like this as legit.

A friend of mine posted this on social media site: “Nobody who is not in uniform should salute, or be saluted by, anyone who is in uniform. Ike saluted and was saluted when he was in uniform; when he wasn’t, he didn’t; he was a real soldier, not someone playing the part of a soldier. The exception: the President is properly saluted when he is Commander-in-Chief, even though he is not in uniform. However (one more fact that is conveniently ignored by our sunshine patriots), he is only the Commander-in-Chief when the US is at war — which means that Truman was the last legitimate CIC, since we have not declared war on anyone since the end of WWII. “Police actions” (e.g., Korea), actions pursuant to the War Powers Act, and our current military actions under the AUMF — none of those qualify as “war” in the Constitutional sense. It’s all just play-acting at war, even if we are killing real people in other countries with real weapons.”

Additionally, it was Saint Reagan who began saluting back, to show the world how superduper patriotic he was, and every prez since him has followed suit. But Obama gets vilified because………?

And Reagan likely did that because he didn’t know the protocol. The ceremonial guard at the stairs are there for show. They are not armed. They hold the salute until the President passed their position. Reagan didn’t know that. So he returned the salute and started this whole ‘tradition’. That and he often went out of his way to ‘prove’ how ‘patriotic’ he was.

He did play a submarine commander once, do he naturally thought he still was.

It’s mostly out of ignorance. The base that’s so up in arms about this is likely the flag waving ‘Murica clowns who simply don’t know any better.

Shades of the fox and fools outrage at President Obama putting his feet up on the desk in the Oval Office, only to find out that it is a presidential tradition. As Keith Olbermann would say,”we have the tapes.”

“George W. Bush totally not saluting the Marines while holding his dog.”

Are the Marines hiding behind the 2 men in Air Force uniforms?

“Our Commander-in-Chief should take the time to properly salute our nation’s heroes in uniform. They do it for him.”

In Bush’s defense, only his dog is black.

The only thing Bush salutes is Captain Morgan

Ugh, I went to Facebook and I seen a bunch of ridiculous posts about this pic and the comments were seething with fake anger. I try to keep religion and politics off my page, but this pushed me off the ledge. I included this bush pic then I typed:

If this pic didn’t piss you off, then please spare me the anger you feel towards Obama saluting with a coffee cup. He is a civilian, that means you do not have to salute anyone in uniform. Saluting by Presidents is a new thing and has not been done for very long. Eisenhower was a 5 star General and he did not salute so please stop this fabricated animosity against our President, it gets old quick.
    Too much?
