Congressman Darrell Issa reacted to the resignation of Attorney General Eric Holder by issuing a press release denouncing him:

[su_center_ad]

“Eric Holder is the most divisive U.S. Attorney General in modern history and, in a vote supported by 17 Democratic House Members, has the dubious historic distinction of being the first Attorney General held in criminal contempt by the U.S. House of Representatives,” said Chairman Issa. “Time and again, Eric Holder administered justice as the political activist he describes himself as instead of an unbiased law enforcement official.  By needlessly injecting politics into law enforcement, Attorney General Holder’s legacy has eroded more confidence in our legal system than any Attorney General before him. Through strong arming reporters, practically ignoring high level wrongdoing, blocking his own agency Inspector General’s access to information, and overseeing a Department that attempted to stonewall Congressional oversight with denials of what is now established fact, Attorney General Holder abused his office and failed to uphold the values of our Constitution.  While President Obama and the Senate should work expeditiously to find a replacement, time and care must be taken to ensure that our next Attorney General recognizes and does not repeat Mr. Holder’s mistakes.”[su_csky_ad]

  14. Skydog2 September 25th, 2014 at 2:15 pm

    Is Issa “angry” or happy?

    • R.J. Carter September 25th, 2014 at 2:19 pm

Truth doesn’t need to necessarily have an emotion.

      • jasperjava September 25th, 2014 at 3:17 pm

        Truth? From Issa?

  15. Ol Blue September 25th, 2014 at 2:16 pm

Can PBO nominate Jamie Foxx’s character in “Django Unchained”? He should at least tease them with it.

Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, said the timing is not accidental: A federal judge earlier this week ruled that the DOJ will have to begin submitting documents next month related to the botched Fast and Furious gun operation in a case brought by Judicial Watch.

    • edmeyer_able September 25th, 2014 at 2:21 pm

The timing means nothing only 2 others served longer.

    • arc99 September 25th, 2014 at 3:52 pm

The President of a right wing advocacy group which among other things participated in the birth certificate nonsense is propagating yet another nonsensical conspiracy theory/right wing talking point.

In other surprising news, the sun rose in the east this morning.

      • granpa.usthai September 25th, 2014 at 8:05 pm

the sun rising in the east and setting in the west is what makes me fully qualified to be a PROPHET OF GOD per written scripture, arc, thanks for giving me the opportunity to point that out.
-and- you are correct in noting that ‘Judicial Watch’ is nothing more than another WHITE RACIST REPUBLICAN group with many of the same old WHITE RACIST Republican Teabaggers.

  17. M D Reese September 25th, 2014 at 2:26 pm

    • William September 25th, 2014 at 5:24 pm

      Works for me.

    • granpa.usthai September 25th, 2014 at 7:57 pm

I’m still pulling for Hashim Nzinga. What’s really needed to break up the RepubliKlan Klan rally in the US Congress is someone who understands and knows how to deal with WHITE RACIST from the heart. President Nzinga knows this and would be able to be confirmed easily while being backed by a huge heavily armed BLACK unregulated militia that upholds the 2nd part of the 2nd amendment.

  19. dwight61 September 25th, 2014 at 2:46 pm

Darrell, just think you won,t be able to be a doctor any more, with your witch hunts that turn up Nothing. The good part is the AG is leaving on his terms. My question is what are you going to do to WASTE taxpayer dollars NOW

  20. Angelo_Frank September 25th, 2014 at 2:47 pm

Why didn’t Eric Holder do more to prosecute big banks?

    • jasperjava September 25th, 2014 at 3:16 pm

Probably because they were afraid of being labelled “socialists” by ultra-right-wing freaks. The right-wing lunkheads called them “socialist” anyway, so they should have just gone ahead and did it.

I believe that when President Obama took over the economic situation was so severe that they had to tread carefully in order not to worsen the financial panic.

    • Wayout September 25th, 2014 at 4:38 pm

      Because they are Obama’s cronies.

Nice one, William. Looks like our little troll muppet has gone crickets on us, thankfully.

          • William September 25th, 2014 at 5:49 pm

When a person blindly accepts anti-Obama “what the radio/TV told me” as fact without checking or even doing the tiniest amount of research, one can only assume the poor soul is either stupid or racist. I like to give Wayout the benefit of the doubt.

          • Mike Butkus Jr. September 25th, 2014 at 6:26 pm

Have to admit I like the trolls, very entertaining, wouldn’t be the same with out them. They put a sarcastic smile on my face.

      From the DOJ’s website:

On February 5, 2013, the Department filed a civil lawsuit against the credit rating agency Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services (S&P) alleging that S&P engaged in a scheme to defraud investors in structured financial products known as residential mortgage-backed securities and collateralized debt obligations (CDOs). According to the complaint, federally insured financial institutions suffered approximately $5B in losses in connection with the failure of CDOs rated by S&P from March to October 2007.
On October 24, 2012, the Department filed a $1 billion civil mortgage fraud lawsuit against Bank of America Corporation and its predecessors Countrywide Financial Corporation and Countrywide Home Loans Inc. for engaging in a scheme to defraud the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac), causing more than $1 billion dollars in losses and countless foreclosures.

Jeez, still sulking about the blow-off Holder gave him and his kangaroo kommittee hearings. Probably cried like a little girl after that, too, just like he did when Governor Hercules shouldered him aside in the CA gubernatorial race.

  22. JimmyPete September 25th, 2014 at 3:17 pm

Issa , Issa , Issa get back to work screwing the American people

  23. keepntch September 25th, 2014 at 3:30 pm

“expeditiously to find a replacement, time and care must be taken to ensure that our next” Attorney General will meet our criminal expectations and rubber stamp everything I say. Waa Waa Waa Mr. Issa. How much better off would we be if you and your GOP weren’t on a racist witch hunt?

  24. Dwendt44 September 25th, 2014 at 3:47 pm

OW, Issa’s diaper must be way to tight. It doesn’t take much for this loon to slip, I mean jump off the cliff. Geeze.

  25. arc99 September 25th, 2014 at 4:02 pm

So says the most divisive House Committee Chair in the history of our republic.

    Hey Darrell, f*ck off.

    • Wayout September 25th, 2014 at 4:38 pm

Held in contempt by the people’s representatives. He should have been impeached.

      • arc99 September 25th, 2014 at 4:48 pm

yes Issa is contemptible. Not sure if impeachment applies to members of the House though. Will have to check the Constitution.

        • granpa.usthai September 25th, 2014 at 7:42 pm

he could be seized upon and rendered to a foreign country for enhanced interrogation under the Patriot Act. It would be perfectly LEGAL and oh so desirable for many many REAL AMERICANS.

        • mmaynard119 September 25th, 2014 at 8:52 pm

          Yes, it does apply.

      • William September 25th, 2014 at 4:55 pm

You’re right. Convicted car thief and suspected arsonist, he should have never been elected, but Oh well when one considers the right wing takes their marching orders from a drug addicted draft dodger, it’s really no surprise.

      • granpa.usthai September 25th, 2014 at 7:39 pm

F the do nothing Republican wasteful spending political hacks of the 113th WHITE RACIST US Congress. They have p*ssed away countless $multi-millions in do nothing showboating – those responsible should be impeached and thrown out of office with no benefits EVER.

        COMPLETE TOTAL F*CK*NG WASTE!

  26. Norm Hull September 25th, 2014 at 4:11 pm

really? worse than Ashcroft? worse than Reno?

    • Wayout September 25th, 2014 at 4:36 pm

He is on par with Nixon’s AG John Mitchell. The most political AG since Mitchell bar none, and one who sides with black americans instead of equal justice for all americans. Good riddance!

      • arc99 September 25th, 2014 at 4:57 pm

there is no end to your ridiculous BS is there?

We get an AG who is serious about enforcing civil rights laws, and you call it “siding with black Americans”

it is called enforcing the law. If equal access to the voting booth for black people offends you, that is too f*cking bad.

      • jasperjava September 25th, 2014 at 5:20 pm

Anybody who believes in justice and racial equality is “siding with Black Americans”, according to racist Klansmen and white supremacists like John Tarter / Wayout.

      • Shades September 25th, 2014 at 7:12 pm

Good Riddance? Funny, that’s how we feel about you, and then you pop back up.

      • granpa.usthai September 25th, 2014 at 7:30 pm

I’ll call your lying horsesh*t, wayout. Give a credible for instance where AG Holder has sided with Black AMERICANS instead of equal justice for all Americans!

    • jasperjava September 25th, 2014 at 5:17 pm

Gonzalez was worse than either Ashcroft or Reno.

Reno was too conscientious, and let the impeachment freaks get away with too much.

      • Norm Hull September 25th, 2014 at 7:04 pm

yeah Gonzalez was awful. And Reno deserves criticism for the Elian fiasco, and Waco. While Waco was dealing with complete nutbags it did not need to go down the way it did.

        • jasperjava September 25th, 2014 at 7:27 pm

Elian had a good outcome, the return of the boy to a loving father after he had been kidnapped by rabid right-wingers.

Waco was a disaster, but I’m not sure what more you could have done when you’re up against an insane suicide cult.

          • Norm Hull September 26th, 2014 at 8:40 am

yeah, it doesn’t excuse the holding the family at gunpoint though

      • raincheck September 26th, 2014 at 6:26 am

Wasn’t it Reno that appointed the nutbag (can’t remember his name) that investigated Clinton. Spending millions of dollars of taxpayer money, only to come up with (Clinton got a bl*w job)? ……..I suffer from CRS

  27. juicyfruityyy September 25th, 2014 at 4:34 pm

Holder isn’t leaving until President Obama gets the AG that he wants. Holder, if necessary, will stay until the end of President Obama’s Term. Which means, they will see him until 2017. Issa, should have held his tongue. His statement, is going to make the meetings awkward for him.

  28. William September 25th, 2014 at 5:20 pm

When is Issa going to be accountable for the time and money he wasted investigating a non scandal?

  29. Winslow Bunny September 25th, 2014 at 7:38 pm

What an amazing coincidence! I hold Darrell Issa in contempt – as a politician, as a crook (car theft), as an investigation chairman, and just all around as a human being. You could improve your standing with millions of Americans if you’d hand in your resignation, too, Darrell.

  30. granpa.usthai September 25th, 2014 at 8:11 pm

does Issa have anyone in mind for USAG?
    or
    as usual

    – p*ss*ng away multi-millions of US TAXPAYER dollars?

  31. liberalMD September 25th, 2014 at 8:18 pm

Although I wished Mr. Holder had investigated and prosecuted more people in the financial collapse of 2008, I otherwise think he’s been a good attorney general.

The only good thing I can see of Mr. Issa’s comments is that they provide a template for his own epithet:
–Darrell Issa is the most divisive U. S. Congressman in United States’ history…….

Hopefully the voters of California’s 49th Congressional district will relieve us of the misery of this man in a few weeks.

    • m2old4bs September 25th, 2014 at 11:04 pm

We can hope so but his district includes La Jolla, you know that beachfront property that Mitt and Ann have their California home with the car elevator.

    • Larry StCroix September 26th, 2014 at 12:13 am

The voters of the 49th Congressional District voted 71% for the Governator (Schwartzenegger) in 2006 and 53% for McCain & his baggage in 2008. Followed that by voting 59% for failed HP CEO Carly Fiorina for Senate and ex eBay CEO Meg Whitman 56% for Governor in 2010. In 2012 they liked Mittens.

Only good thing is after redistricting and implementation of the top two primary system in 2012 Issa’s Dem opponent did get a higher percentage of votes undiluted by Libertarian, Green, Natural Law or American Independent candidates. Just not enough to send him packing.

    • Joe Dusel September 26th, 2014 at 1:07 am

Well, Dave Peiser is working hard to get elected to replace Issa. There are a lot of us in the 49th district that are not at all happy with Issa. Please visit http://www.PeiserForCongress.com. Dave needs your support to make this happen!

      • Skydog2 September 26th, 2014 at 6:43 am

What are the actual odds Peiser will win?

  32. forpeace September 25th, 2014 at 8:51 pm

Someone needs to launch an investigation on Darrell Issa’s past and present.

He dropped out of high school and enlisted for three years in the army before he was kicked out of army nearly two years early after being stripped of his duties because he stole a Dodge sedan from an Army post near Pittsburgh in 1971. In 1972, Issa and his brother stole a red Maserati sports car from a car dealership in Cleveland. He and his brother were indicted for car theft. That same year, Issa was convicted in Michigan for possession of an unregistered gun. He received three months probation and paid a $204 fine. On December 28, 1979, Issa and his brother faked the theft of Issa’s Mercedes Benz sedan.

Darrell Issa has been in Congress since 2001 with an embarrassing voting records, and no accomplishments while building up his is net worth estimated at as much as $450+ million making him the 2nd wealthiest currently-serving member of Congress. He made his fortune through his company, Directed Electronics Incorporated. He was also investigated for arson and insurance fraud. Advocacy Group filed ethics complaint against Darrell Issa in regards to Issa’s many conflicts of interest. He hired Bank Lobbyists as his senior staffers.

He has become a vocal advocate for investigations into the Obama administration 24/7, that is the ONLY thing he has been doing since 2009 till present. He is an expert in presenting countless hearings and lawsuits, false accusations based on releasing selectively chosen data, forged emails, partial transcripts, and documents as evidence, and he has failed miserably every single time because couldn’t find anything!!

    • Skydog2 September 26th, 2014 at 6:42 am

Launch an investigation on Darrell Issa because you don’t like him?

      • raincheck September 26th, 2014 at 6:57 am

How about investigating him for wasting so much tax payer money/time, distorting/twisting/cherry picking information related to Benghazi… How can you be you be OK with that? You must be ACTING stupid, I can’t believe your THAT stupid… on second thought….

I copied and pasted what ‘forpeace’ said because I couldn’t have said it better, and judging from your idiotic reply you didn’t read this….

“He has become a vocal advocate for investigations into the Obama
administration 24/7, that is the ONLY thing he has been doing since 2009
till present. He is an expert in presenting countless hearings and

      • raincheck September 26th, 2014 at 7:04 am

Why TROLL? Why not add something substantive with verifiable facts… Trolling is what people do when they’re on the wrong side of…. NEVER MIND!!…. If your going to Troll then F*CK OFF!!!!!!

        • Skydog2 September 26th, 2014 at 8:26 am

Simply explain why you want him investigated.

Is there an allegation of illegal behavior that needs to be investigated?

          • OldLefty September 26th, 2014 at 8:41 am

People should be investigated for illegal behavior, not for political disagreement.
            _______

            So Issa should be investigated?

Remember he exposed the names of assets in his rush to score cheap political points via leaks.

          • Skydog2 September 26th, 2014 at 8:49 am

Yes, if there’s an allegation of illegal behavior. Thus far, I haven’t heard one.

If you believe Issa broke laws, why hasn’t the DOJ launched an investigation?

          • OldLefty September 26th, 2014 at 9:10 am

Issa himself has not investigated any “illegal” behavior, while many would say that exposing assets is illegal although very difficult to prove.

          • jasperjava September 26th, 2014 at 9:40 am

And what do you think Issa was investigating these phony trumped-up “scandals” for, if it wasn’t just political disagreements?

          • William September 26th, 2014 at 10:47 am

‘People should be investigated for illegal behavior, not for political disagreement’.
Benghazi is likely the most investigated event in our history, yet , Issa has come up with ZERO.
            How is that not political?

          • forpeace September 26th, 2014 at 11:29 am

Darell Issa and GOTP have been cashing in on both IRS and Benghazi.

          • Skydog2 September 26th, 2014 at 12:09 pm

Is your reply directed at me? I never said the Benghazi investigations are not political.

          • William September 26th, 2014 at 1:03 pm

Really? And just WHAT has the convict ISSA been doing with the peoples resources and time?
The “what me” act isn’t even worthy of a troll.

          • forpeace September 26th, 2014 at 11:28 am

And people who can barely read or comprehend should not be posting online.

      • forpeace September 26th, 2014 at 11:27 am

Liking him?! Are you a child?

I have a lot of accurate information about Darrell Issa’s illegal activities in U.S. Congress and in California, and how he turned the House Oversight Committee into a bank lobbying firm with the power to subpoena and pressure government regulators.

But, since you are too dense, I won’t even bother to waste my time on you.

        • Skydog2 September 26th, 2014 at 12:07 pm

Don’t provide your info to me, provide it to the DOJ so they can prosecute him ….. or is it possible the DOJ has alrerady seen your info and have declined to prosecute.
