Bachmann To Obama: ‘Declare War’ On Islam

According to RawStory.com…Rep. Bachmann stated, “Mr. Obama and Mrs. Clinton, we want our 1980s foreign policy back! Peace through strength! Peace through strength! We don’t want your failed ‘Russian reset’! We don’t want four Americans dead in Benghazi!”
While waxing nostalgically about the 1980s, Rep. Bachmann didn’t mention the 241 U.S. service members who were killed in Lebanon by terrorists in 1983 under President Reagan, noted USA Today.
“Unbelievably, we have the first anti-Israel president in American history,” Rep. Bachmann said of President Obama. “That’s your legacy!”
However, according to ForeignPolicy.com, President Obama has provided Israel with record-high levels of Foreign Military Financing (FMF) with nearly $10 billion in aid by 2012. President Obama also provided Israel with an additional $275 million to finance its “Iron Dome” missile defense system. President Obama also sent bunker-busting bombs to Israel, which President Bush failed to do, noted The Daily Beast…
Yes, Mr. President, it is about Islam! And I believe if you have an evil of an order of this magnitude, you take it seriously. You declare war on it, you don’t dance around it. Just like the Islamic State has declared war on the United States of America.”

It was interesting. John F Kennedy was assassinated when I was 12–it really did change everything. I also got to see the Civil Rights Era play out on TV. I was on the West Coast so was not in the middle of it by any means. And of course the war in Vietnam. It was the first time that a war was shone almost live every day in full color in our living rooms. People were shocked. There was also actual journalism then. One thing that I recall was that we were EXPECTED to be following current events for school.

Under Obama the US gave Israel more than that for “Iron Dome” defense. Israel has a lot of Democratic supporters in congress. In addition, the money was given to Israel to insure they wouldn’t attack Iran’s nuclear program and as part of a deal to share technology. Obama sent more military aide to the Moslem Brotherhood when they were in control of Egypt. And why did Obama go to Florida during the 2012 election, and take credit for Bush’s Israeli deal at rallies filled with Jewish Senior Citizens?

The treaty was with Mubarak who was overthrown, so the treaty was not binding. Obama did not have to keep the aid. That was his choice. Try to get your facts somewhat correct. Though the Moslem brotherhood was legally elected, once in power they illegally changed the Egyptian constitution and were turning Egypt into an Islamic dictatorship. They lost popular support, and the military took over. Then Obama chose to cut military aid. The government is not in chaos now. In fact they brokered the deal between Israel and Hamas. No, we should not cut off military aid to Egypt now since they are our allies in our military struggles with radical Islam.

The “treaty” was not “with Mubarak” it was with the nation of Egypt and came into effect under the rule of Sadat, not Mubarak.
Mubarak had lost popular support after 30 years of rule and was tossed out by popular uprising.
Elections were held and the new President of Egypt, Morsi was elected. Yeah he was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood and so were a lot of other people that were also elected to office.
Morsi was the new president and every nation on the planet agreed.
Therefore all the aid to Egypt went ahead like it had since 1979..
You can go ahead and lie, and make the claim that “Obama gave the Muslim brotherhood 1.3 Billion dollars”,
#1 the president doesn’t have the constitutional authority to give money to nations.
#2 by saying he gave the money to the Mus-bro’s is compounding the original lie.
#3 nearly half of the aid to Egypt has been released to the new government, the rest is pending upon if they continue to make moves towards a democratic reforms, and not a military dictatorship..(any cut in aid to Egypt or increase has to be approved by congress).
So you can cut the crap about “Obama did this” or ‘Obama did that”..

When you have treaties and agreements with countries you have to honor those agreements. If things change it is hard to react when your hands are tied. By the way, Obama did break our treaty with the Ukraine, and the Ukraine didn’t even change governments. We had a treaty to protect them if Russia invades if they would give up their nuclear weapons, and they did. Clinton singed the treaty and Obama renewed it before the Russian invasion. In fact, when Obama was a Senator, he was at the forefront of the movement to disarm the Ukraine. He even made a deal with them to destroy their conventional weapons. Too bad for them.

Ukrainian President Yanukovych wasn’t voted out of office, he was told by the parliament that he was “unfit to hold the office of president” and that they would hold emergency elections to replace him…
“tossed out on his ear” is an accurate description.

I made my position very clear, and the only way you can ask me such a ridiculous question is if you forgot that the government we had a treaty with was overthrown in first place. Obviously, Obama should have withheld aid to the Moslem Brotherhood and reinstated it once our allies took over. Look up the history of Turkey in the 70s and 80s if you are too ignorant to understand. Winning an election does not give one the right to ignore the constitution and form a dictatorship like the Moslem Brotherhood was doing. If that happened here by anyone besides a so called “progressive,” you liberals would be squealing like stuck pigs.

The 1.3 billion you speak of went to the government and military of Egypt, mostly to purchase US made weapons.
The US is bound by treaty to annually give Egypt this “aid” and has been doing so since 1979.
You might want to read the Camp David accords and the conditions there in.

No president has the authority to dole out money.
And just because Egypt had the first real election in over 30 years and you dont like who won doesnt mean that our oblilgation to the treaty we signed is null and void.

Before Bush left office, he signed a deal with Israel to give them more aid than ever. When Obama was campaigning in Florida, he and Alan Dershowitz were telling Jewish Senior Citizens that under his administration more aid was going to Israel than ever. That was technically true but it was due to Bush, not Obama.

I suggest you go over to redstate.com and criticize their censorship. They have a WRITTEN policy prohibiting viewpoints supportive of liberals or the Democratic party.
If censorship is so offensive to you, I suggest you start with the sites that tend to agree with your personal views where liberals viewpoints are expressly prohibited.

Just because you make a comment doesn’t mean your comment is worthy of a reply. If people choose to ignore you because they think your comment is not worthy of reply that is their choice. If you are going to make comments that are trollish in nature you should expect the same back and not expect any real comment of value. Eventually you will probably just get banned because people get tired of being trolled by the same person and you will be much more of annoyance than anything else as you are contributing in a way that is not conducive to the environment that our regular readers like. It may not be anything in particular that you say, just that we have grown tired of the negative way you express things toward others.
