Chelsea Clinton announced the birth of her daughter, Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky, on Twitter early Saturday morning and since then, Republican Twitter users have not exactly welcomed the baby into the world with open arms.

Meet Charlotte, Marc Mezvinsky and Chelsea Clinton’s new baby.

a baby is born and these bastards still find something hateful and disgusting to say. unfortunately, they are not ashamed. these are the very ones that will be in church tomorrow actin’ all christian like. assholes.

    • Kingminnie September 27th, 2014 at 10:19 pm

Yep. Because attending church on Sunday makes all your hateful words and deeds ok.

  2. tiredoftea September 27th, 2014 at 10:15 pm

Ahhh, yes, the love of christians for new life!

  3. Kingminnie September 27th, 2014 at 10:18 pm

I honestly can’t fathom having all that hate inside of you. Thanks Toxic non-news, Limpbaugh and republiwont’s you have done your job well. I am truly disgusted.

  4. searambler September 27th, 2014 at 10:26 pm

Is anyone surprised? I sure as hell expected this. Hatred fuels the right wing. It is their currency.

    • uzza September 27th, 2014 at 11:52 pm

Hating is much easier than understanding.

      • whatthe46 September 28th, 2014 at 12:07 am

especially when you choose not to.

  5. Spirit of America September 27th, 2014 at 10:28 pm

While some talk about others hating in this thread, feel free to read their ‘love’ for the others they say hate…

    • Anomaly 100 September 27th, 2014 at 10:35 pm

We’re talking about a baby. Who hates a baby (aside from the folks tis story is about)?

      • Spirit of America September 27th, 2014 at 10:42 pm

“Who hates a baby”, nobody w/any sense in my view. But hate is hate in my view as well, and keep in mind, there are many blanket statements here, while only a handful(compared to how many people on twitter there are) of people showed such cras behavior as to use a birth to a couple for spewing their own bad behavior and hatred.

        • Anomaly 100 September 27th, 2014 at 10:43 pm

This is me not believing you. The reason is because I wrote this post and I went to the aforementioned sites which were teeming with hatred.

          • Spirit of America September 27th, 2014 at 10:50 pm

Look up how many registered republicans there are… count how many republicans twittered this garbage… then see if it is justified to hate all republicans, or make blanket statements about all republicans.

I’ve seen people on this very website say “you can’t hate all of islam cause of a ‘few’ bad apples”, yet it’s ok if republicans/conservatives? Then we can make blanket statements of derision and hate?

I can show you dozens of racist quotes from white folks, should I hate all white folks then?

I can show you dozens of racist quotes from black folks, should I hate all black folks then?

I can show you dozens of racist quotes from spanish folks, should I hate all spanish folks then?

I can show you dozens of racist quotes from democrat folks, should I hate all democrat folks then?

          • Anomaly 100 September 27th, 2014 at 10:52 pm

Some of what you say is true. There are no racists in my family and they’re all Conservatives. But, you’re just talking about Twitter. I’m talking about the sites in the post, too.

I don’t hate Conservatives. I just don’t like most of them very much.

          • Spirit of America September 27th, 2014 at 11:00 pm

“I just don’t like most of them very much.”
LOL, I can definitely understand that 🙂

“But, you’re just talking about Twitter. I’m talking about the sites in the post, too.”
My fault, didn’t mean just twitter, to me twitter/threads/forums/bbs’s/irc are all in same genre… internet. I think you’ll find that this medium allows people to believe they don’t need to extend courtesy(no risk of a punch in the ol’ snot locker), they can drop their veneer of civility(that they use in physical society for their own protection) and most who do live a civil life because it’s inherent to them aren’t as active on the net as though who see this as a medium to ‘blow off steam suppressed’ that they can’t in the ‘real’ life.(was that a run away sentence?)

Now look up though in this thread… I quote:
“DIE, NASTY REPULICAN SCUM HATERS, DIE!”

          • Anomaly 100 September 27th, 2014 at 11:07 pm

Here’s the difference though: I was about to delete that comment. On right wing sites, it’s everything goes. I don’t get that.

Believe it or not, I have a few Conservative friends. They’re really amazing people, but they’re moderates and that’s something I don’t see often. Everyone is so extreme these days. It’s an us vs. them mentality. When the Tea Party came to town, that’s when political discourse went off the crazy cliff, IMO.

          • Spirit of America September 27th, 2014 at 11:18 pm

“Everyone is so extreme these days. It’s an us vs. them mentality.”
Ahhh, and therein lies the crux of the problem. When we’re on the same team, we will have discussions on how to proceed, toss out ideas, try to convince each other of our views and eventually move forward.
BUT, now it is as you say, us/them… and if that’s the case, one never tries to convince the opponent, one tries to crush them, to hate them so as to justify tactics no matter how crude to win, for do we not all want to win when it comes to an enemy?

“Believe it or not, I have a few Conservative friends.”
I wholeheartedly believe it, most have friends of many bents and types, and some of the posts you see on liberal and conservative sites most of them wouldn’t say it to their ‘friends’, but on sites it is ok to, no recourse, no face time, no knowledge that it is another real person.

          • rg9rts September 28th, 2014 at 5:12 am

They get the best press for stupid insensitive remarks and seem to have the corner on being phonies

          • raincheck September 28th, 2014 at 7:38 am

It’s the “stupid insensitive remarks” that drive up their ratings..

          • raincheck September 28th, 2014 at 7:34 am

How do you explain the popularity of someone like Rush Limbaugh? He appears to be THE Republican leader… all he does is spew hatred to his many many many followers… the more vile a creature he is.. the more they love it. He isn’t alone either… there are more like him…. I would LOVE to think it’s “just a few” But the ratings people like Rush has, proves otherwise.

          • Phil Ryan September 28th, 2014 at 9:57 am

spirit, no one is saying ALL Republicans are haters. But truth be told, there are a lot of Clinton haters in the Republican party. This is a party that used to have some ideas — none I agree with mind you, but at least ideas. Now all they have is sneering contempt for a black President, sneering contempt for science, and in many cases sneering contempt for anyone who doesn’t think EXACTLY like themselves. You are right. You cannot make blanket statements, but the majority in polling seem like an angry, unpleasant bunch. When you have 57 percent of Republicans polled think that our current president is a “secret Muslim” and 20 percent thinking he’s the antichrist, that’s not an insignificant amount.

          • Spirit of America September 28th, 2014 at 10:05 am

LOL, I’ve never seen the anti-christ one yet, that’s a bit on the sad side, eh?

    • Obewon September 27th, 2014 at 10:35 pm

Where’s your standard ‘both sides do it too’ delusion? Your right-wing are well proven anything but pro-life by their elected politicians actions and disgusting pundit spew that they embrace as gospel.

  6. Obewon September 27th, 2014 at 10:32 pm

They roll in childless boss-hog Limbaugh’s jealousy at everyone else on Earth who are such far better people than any of today’s right wing nut jobs.

  7. Annie September 27th, 2014 at 10:45 pm

Two things happened today. First, I lost my best friend of 10 years, my beautiful boxer, Bianca. Second, Chelsea, Marc and their families met their beautiful new family member, Charlotte. The life cycle continues and the only thing the RWNJ club has to offer is ugliness. I want them all to just go away

    • Anomaly 100 September 27th, 2014 at 10:55 pm

I am so very sorry for your loss.

    • whatthe46 September 27th, 2014 at 10:56 pm

sorry about Bianca. and i agree.

    • uzza September 27th, 2014 at 10:56 pm

My heart goes out to you, for Bianca.

      • Annie September 27th, 2014 at 11:01 pm

Thank you all so much. My eyes are on fire from crying. I had a nap and woke up with a swollen face. My heart is in shreds. I want to go to sleep and wake up with her next to me like it was only a dream. I had to unfriend someone of Facebook today who told me I had my priorities mixed up. This girl was so special.

        • Spirit of America September 27th, 2014 at 11:03 pm

A friend is a friend, period. Mourning honors the friendship.

          • Annie September 27th, 2014 at 11:05 pm

            So true. Thanks

          • uzza September 27th, 2014 at 11:50 pm

You’re not alone in your grief. I buried my best friend yesterday, and the house is empty, with a huge hole where she should be. Her body’s by the fence now with a wooden marker, “Jekyl 2001-2014”; I can pass by and visit her where she lives now in my memories.
I’m consoled somewhat that by outliving her I was able to make her entire life span a good one. Bianca was lucky to have you.

          • Annie September 27th, 2014 at 11:57 pm

Thank you. You are absolutely one of the good ones. Only people who have felt such loss can understand my feelings tonight. I know what we gave each other and am so very grateful for it. I cannot imagine what my life would have been without her in it.

          • raincheck September 28th, 2014 at 7:47 am

“the house is empty, with a huge hole where she should be”
I’m touched by your post…. I’m about to go through the same thing, with my very good/best friend “Buddy” I’m so choked up I can hardly write this…. Sorry for your loss

Uzza, my heart goes out to you. I’m so sorry you lost your BFF. I’m glad you have the memories, though. Animals are such innocent creatures.

          • uzza September 30th, 2014 at 8:35 pm

Jekyl and I were both in the same boat, we’re both all old and we both have cancer, so it was a tossup which one would die first. I’m sadly glad it was her because all she’s ever known is life with me; I couldn’t bear the thought of her losing the only home she’s ever known and ending up unknown and unwanted in some shelter or worse. It’s much better this way. Thank you, that you care.

          • Anomaly 100 September 30th, 2014 at 8:46 pm

I didn’t know that you have cancer. I really have the sads right now.

        • Anomaly 100 September 27th, 2014 at 11:09 pm

I unfriended someone on Facebook after she gave me some appalling advice after my cat started freaking out for no reason. She said to either, put her down, or throw her out the door. Seriously.

Animals are more devoted than most people.

          • Annie September 27th, 2014 at 11:29 pm

Sadly, only people who live with and understand animals get it. I have been rescuing animals my entire life. I don’t want to be around people without compassion for animals.

          • Anomaly 100 September 28th, 2014 at 7:57 am

The woman I spoke of was unfriended but others came in giving me some really good advice which I took. Whisper (my cat) is back to normal. I would never give up on her:-)

          • Annie September 28th, 2014 at 11:56 am

I’m happy Whisper is better. I’d be lost without animals.

          • Anomaly 100 September 28th, 2014 at 12:53 pm

unlike Bristol Palin she was Married and you don’t see her out in bars brawling or with her mom getting drunk and brawling.. Palin the Teathugs version of family values .. GAG!!!

  12. rat618 September 28th, 2014 at 12:02 am

More from the Family Values crowd. Way to show yourself as the a..holes you are.

  13. NoInfo ToShare September 28th, 2014 at 12:12 am

Is anyone really that surprised to find that the so-called “religious faithful” carry the most putrid hate inside?

  14. amwa September 28th, 2014 at 12:45 am

A mother has a baby and it is one of the happiest times in her life why would anyone use hate towards her and her baby. Only a sick Republican with no family or Christian values it seems, and these are the same people who are against abortions it is taking a babies life but they have nothing but hate when a baby is born, one has to have a very sick mind.
Congratulations Chelsea and Marc on your lovely baby Charlotte.

Yep…. Christian family values, all right.

      • Carol Ann Hunigan Booher September 28th, 2014 at 3:11 pm

a lot more Christian than the darling of the CONserves who promotes her version of Christian values and then goes out gets drunk with her children and ends up in a brawl.. i would say compared to the Palins they do have Christian Values.. Bristol in bars brawling and having a baby UNWED. At least Chelsey is married. but of coarse like most TEAthugs they are just hypocrites..

        • OHIO GAL September 28th, 2014 at 4:29 pm

You seem to know first hand info on that “brawl”.
Could you post a link to a video of it?

  15. NW10 September 28th, 2014 at 1:56 am

No surprise that a majority of these hypocrites taking potshots at the newest born member of the Clinton family claim to be “pro life.” If Chelsea had decided to abort the fetus, they’d be calling her a baby killer and demand she be arrested.

Some people can be so stupid. My ex and I gave our daughter both grandmother’s names, my maiden name, and his last name, and we did it because we wanted to honor her family on both sides. We didn’t do it so that “everyone could know who she is” as the brain dead twitterer “Truth” seems to think is the reason parents do it.

    • Phil Ryan September 28th, 2014 at 4:13 pm

it is called Fox News. The rise of Fox News has caused more polarization in this country than anything. Added to that, a media that doesn’t feel it is their job to correct lies — whether they come from Republicans OR Democrats. Nope. The media is just a delivery system, more concerned with access than actually being the fourth estate. The media are a joke in this country. They don’t inform or educate they just parrot what they’re told.

      • Red Mann September 28th, 2014 at 9:07 pm

The media is owned by big corporations and must make money. Lies, hate and fear sell and contradicting it can lower their profits.

      • rg9rts September 28th, 2014 at 6:01 am

They want the press and please show me ANY conservative that has compassion for their fellow man. Besides the lip service by Bush of Compassionate Conservatives…Mitt witt showed that in private their true ugly colors are revealed

        via the secret tape.

        • Skydog2 September 28th, 2014 at 10:36 am

“show me ANY conservative that has compassion for their fellow man”

Wow, you sure have a lot of hate towards ~ 50% of this country.

          • rg9rts September 28th, 2014 at 11:12 am

You really think it is 50%….more like 5% with a very good press….FAUX…AM talk radio ….Very vocal and no substance beyond NO

          • Phil Ryan September 28th, 2014 at 4:10 pm

if you go in a booth and pull the lever next to an (R) then you are complicit in that 5 percent because that 5 percent are running this party… so you might want to think that it is only 5 percent, but in reality is is more like 35 percent who ARE EXACTLY as skydog2 characterizes them as.

          • rg9rts September 28th, 2014 at 4:12 pm

a far cry from 50% they are a small VOCAL minority that took over a major party and are hellbent on destruction of the party and the country too.

          • Phil Ryan September 28th, 2014 at 4:14 pm

when you have 20 percent of republicans in a poll saying that Obama is the Antichrist and 57 percent of Republicans saying that Obama is secretly a Muslim (as if Muslim is something to be ashamed of) don’t talk to me about a small vocal minority. They might have started off that way, but like the cancer that they are, they have metastasized into the mainstream.

          • jasperjava September 28th, 2014 at 5:33 pm

If conservatives constitute 50% of the country, then the United States is doomed.

America has always been at its best when liberals moved their agenda forward: the American Revolution, the adoption of the Bill of Rights, the abolition of slavery, enfranchisement of women, labor laws, environmental laws, mitigating the effects of the Great Depression, fighting the fascists in World War Two, policies favoring the middle class, desegregation, civil rights, women’s rights, gay rights, etc.

Conservatives have always opposed progress. They represent the dark side of humanity: selfishness, greed, hate, fear, ignorance, stupidity. They are the ball-and-chain tied around our nation’s ankle.

The sooner we get rid of this evil ideology, the better off we will all be.

          • Red Mann September 28th, 2014 at 9:01 pm

Show some actual compassionate conservatives that have any influence in the Republican Party. 50% of this country has been dis-informed by Republican propaganda sites like Faux “News”.

      • raincheck September 28th, 2014 at 8:14 am

A few? Really? Can you judge a man/woman by the company he/she keeps or the books they read? How about the leadership they follow and the people they vote for? Rush Limbaugh is a top leader for Republicans… and I’m pretty sure he has more than “a few” followers

        • Skydog2 September 28th, 2014 at 10:38 am

Let’s pretend everyone who listens to Limbaugh the entertainer agrees with everything he says.

Let’s pretend they don’t agree with what he say’s… they just like the sound of his voice

          • meinmd September 28th, 2014 at 1:43 pm

He does have fans who call themselves dittoheads,

          • Grace Carralero Barella September 28th, 2014 at 4:08 pm

            that’s O’Reilly.

          • Red Mann September 28th, 2014 at 8:59 pm

No, that’s Limbaugh, and has been for years. “Ditto Rush”

          • Grace Carralero Barella September 28th, 2014 at 4:07 pm

I listen, it almost kills me daily, but I must hear what crappolla he’s spewing!!

      • Red Mann September 28th, 2014 at 8:59 pm

Let’s pretend that millions of the RW base don’t feel this way. There are dozens of RW hate sites where the commenters are even more nasty and virulent than the ones above. This is the way much of the RW leadership talks. Go check out RightWingWatch for actual accounts of the RW leadership in action.

    • Diane September 28th, 2014 at 11:49 am

The conservatives only have an ugly side, there is nothing more there.

    • Phil Ryan September 28th, 2014 at 4:08 pm

But sadly it looks like the Republicans will GAIN seats in the House AND the Senate. So what does it say about the electorate in this country? I was shocked to learn that a huge percentage in this country don’t even KNOW that there are midterm elections in November. I mean really? WE GET THE GOVERNMENT WE DESERVE. And if this Republican party is rewarded in November with a larger number of seats in the House and Senate, or even takes over the Senate, it effectively ends the presidency of President Obama…… and this electorate will reward nastiness and racism and slow recover and blame it all on the man who has tried to compromise with them and blame a party who isn’t even in POWER in the House. Boggles the mind.

      • rg9rts September 28th, 2014 at 4:13 pm

We’ll know in six weeks won’t we

      • Red Mann September 28th, 2014 at 8:55 pm

I blame all of the lazy SOBs who stay home on election day. It is dead easy to get the RW hatebots to march, lockstep, to the polls to vote as they are told. That the reasonable folks stay home gives these folks an unfounded control of our political scene.

        • RuralStupidity September 29th, 2014 at 6:18 am

Could not have said it better myself.

    • RuralStupidity September 29th, 2014 at 6:16 am

They only have an ugly side.

  22. Linda Martin September 28th, 2014 at 8:32 am

Remember when everyone squawked about Michelle saying for the first time she was proud to be an American? Well for the first time I”m ASHAMED of America. I’ve never seen such HATE and venom from the republicans in all my life! They HATE everything that doesn’t agree with them. SHAME ON YOU

    • granpa.usthai September 28th, 2014 at 12:43 pm

I noticed it the day Jerry Falwell stood behind his pulpit and proclaimed “we’ve won” when the ‘moral majority’ crowd ballyhooed about POTUS Reagan being CONNED into office.

    • Red Mann September 28th, 2014 at 8:52 pm

Linda, these kind of comments have been the mainstay of the right since 2008. If you have the stomach, go look at wnd.com, breitbat, The Blaze, American Thinker for a nasty sampling. RightWingWatch documents their lying crap daily. This is the norm of the right wing base.

  23. eddie1247 September 28th, 2014 at 8:43 am

Documented verification of someone’s stupidity and ignorance—PRICELESS!

  24. Phil Ryan September 28th, 2014 at 9:49 am

Sums up the current crop of Republicans. Disgusting, mean spirited and decidedly unChristian. If you cannot find good in the birth of a child, then you are a pretty nasty person. And let’s face, most tea Party Republicans are nasty, nasty people.

    • granpa.usthai September 28th, 2014 at 12:39 pm

-and to think, this little one could one day grow up to be the FIRST POTUS whose mom and grandmom were POTUSes too! How cool would that be? grandmom – 2 FULL TERMS, mom – 2 FULL TERMS – and sweet little Charlotte with 2 FULL TERMS and a PC that could look up ancient GOP tweets when they try to CON the AMERICAN people with their LYING fascist BS!

      thank you, Al Gore!

      • Phil Ryan September 28th, 2014 at 4:04 pm

works for me…. quite frankly, I would have considered a moderate Republican with a brain. But there are no moderate Republicans anymore and there are few with a brain. The ones who do are cowering and scared to stand up to the dimwits in their party. And you see evidence of how dim they are just by the nasty comments that are made here. This party has become a dangerous right wing fundamentalist party who doesn’t accept facts, coupled with a dumbassed base who see no use for government unless it is catered to them. The irony of all the retired tea party base on social security AND SOCIALIZED MEDICINE want to get rid of both — but oh, no, not for them. Because somehow they are “special.” And sadly a lot of them don’t even know that the medical coverage they get is a GOVERNMENT supplied one.

  25. Steve Scholl September 28th, 2014 at 10:02 am

I think we need to simply quit paying attention to what the hatemongers on the right have to say. They will slam anything and everything. Why bother paying attention?

    • granpa.usthai September 28th, 2014 at 12:34 pm

      DEFINITELY AGREE!
Time for Democrats and Independents to start AMERICAN UP! -and rid ourselves of these filthy little dirty lying fascist scum on the Reich side of the house.!

    • jasperjava September 28th, 2014 at 5:20 pm

Sunlight is the best disinfectant. If the Rethugs are going to show their true colors, it’s to the advantage of all Americans that we point out what kind of filth they are.

    • RuralStupidity September 29th, 2014 at 6:12 am

It’s like teasing monkeys at the zoo. Hard to resist, but you’re right, er, I mean correct.

  26. Kim Serrahn September 28th, 2014 at 10:25 am

You know there ought to be rules that everyone should follow about attacking children, no matter what side of the fence they are on. Attack an adult but not a child. It kinda makes you look like you could be an abuser if you do.

    • secondlook September 28th, 2014 at 10:27 am

Agreed. I do not care the party. Children and spouses should remain off limits.

      • nobodobodon September 28th, 2014 at 1:57 pm

I don’t know about completely off-limits, but I think they should get more respect than candidates. Also – I think this stuff is nastier than should be dished out to candidates, frankly.

    • Stacey Hall September 28th, 2014 at 10:46 am

There are rules, you can’t say anything about drunk abusive republican teens but democrats are free fodder. This is a surprise?

    • Carol Ann Hunigan Booher September 28th, 2014 at 3:09 pm

They ARE abusers, they feed the fetus and starve the child.. They take the food and healthcare away from the needy, they want to take the medicare and ss from the elderly and by the way the elderly PAID for those benefits… I don’t know what else you could call them but abusers.. Also they force feed their religion on people… Abusers Yes i would say they are

  27. arc99 September 28th, 2014 at 11:44 am

Did any prominent conservative or Republican tweet out a message of congratulations, or does the bilge spewing from their base speak for them as well?

    Just asking.

  28. Economist2011 September 28th, 2014 at 12:07 pm

    stay classy conservaturds.

  29. mcquestion5000 September 28th, 2014 at 12:09 pm

One can only imagine the outrage if this was directed to the Palin family. FOX news would be losing their shit.

    • Grace Carralero Barella September 28th, 2014 at 4:06 pm

excellent point.. If Liberals posted these things about a Palin grandchild then Rush would have a week’s comments on it.

      • mcquestion5000 September 28th, 2014 at 7:59 pm

Doesn’t everyone remember how butt hurt they were when David Letterman made well deserved jokes about her and her family? A late night comedian? Whose fodder is EVERYONE? FOX news would be melting down right now if this was directed at The Palins.

  30. Nicole A Smith September 28th, 2014 at 12:29 pm

WHAT IS WRONG WITH PPL? Oh my God. This is pure and utter proof that Republicans care not about humans AFTER they are born. Dear God

    • Bridgett Cash September 28th, 2014 at 2:15 pm

Proof that they are mentally ill.

  31. granpa.usthai September 28th, 2014 at 12:30 pm

one thing that puzzled me when I saw an ANTI-CHOICE billboard the other day:
    “we chose life”
if THEY are choosing, does that mean they want to be the ONLY ones making a choice?

    question:
    what is REAL Tyranny?

    • Gina Simpson-Myers September 28th, 2014 at 12:35 pm

Saying that they “chose” implies the validity of all options, doesn’t it? Because, really, anti-choicers want there to be NO choice, which means their billboard should have just said “We got life” which implies a whole other set of issues, eh?

      • nobodobodon September 28th, 2014 at 1:56 pm

How about “We chose life and wish we hadn’t been presented with the choice.”

  32. fenraven September 28th, 2014 at 12:31 pm

Wow. I have rarely seen people so damn rude.

      • OHIO GAL September 28th, 2014 at 4:41 pm

You seem to have missed MSNBC host Shuster’s comment regarding that Hillary was p!mping Chelsea out for superdelegates or the skit on SNL in ’92 Wayne’s World: “While it’s true that adolescence has been thus far unkind, we think she’s gonna be a future fox.” Mike Myers says, “Chelsea Clinton–not a babe.”
That skit didn’t make it to the west coast replay.

That said, congratulations to the Clinton family on their new arrival.

        • Anthony Davis September 28th, 2014 at 7:14 pm

What relevance does a clip from 22 years ago have to do with anything?

Scroll up to the teaser & to the post I was replying to.

  33. GammaRae September 28th, 2014 at 1:34 pm

Anyone surprised by this reaction from the RWNJs has not been paying attention for the last 40 years. This is “Republican pro-life Christian family values” on full display.
There are only three reasons people vote Republican: Greed, misplaced fear, and irredeemable stupidity.

  34. Bridgett Cash September 28th, 2014 at 2:15 pm

The right and all their little minons, oops I mean voters are mentally ill.

  35. Joelle Lustre September 28th, 2014 at 2:32 pm

A sweet, innocent baby girl is born to a loving family and people act like she did something to be disrespected and put down for. Those who are that ignorant are what is wrong with society. Disgusting people with horrific attitudes and hatred are becoming very commonplace in the US.

    • RuralStupidity September 29th, 2014 at 6:05 am

No, they’ve always been there. The birth of the Tea party was simply their coming out of the closet.

  36. Carol Ann Hunigan Booher September 28th, 2014 at 3:05 pm

I would NEVER vote rethug but even if i were in the mind to vote that way this would do it for me.. If a party at this time has nothing to do but trash a family that has a joyful event then they are not longer viable to lead the nation

  37. Goddes FourWinds September 28th, 2014 at 5:25 pm

Congratulations to the Clintons and Mezvinskys! Just know that not everyone is so hate-filled and hate-fueled. May Charlotte enjoy a long life of happiness and activism.
I can’t see how she’d be anything other than an activist, with her birth stirring up so much…positive…push…from those of us who love her just for being born. 🙂

  39. Denise September 28th, 2014 at 6:19 pm

Once again the Republicans are talking out of both sides of their mouths. When Palin’s daughter Bristol became pregnant out of wedlock, which is premartial sex and a no, no before marriage, Bristol was embraced by the right. Why? Cuz she didn’t abort her bastard!
Now you have Chelsea Clinton, married, and now a mom giving birth and the Conservatives howl! Like Bristol, Chelsea did not abort, but, unlike Bristol, Chelsea got it right: love, marriage, baby carriage! That Alaskan hussy never got it right. It was lust, baby, engagemnent, no wedding.
Only right leaning idiots can somehow find the birth of a new life as something to attack. Which is the opposite of what alleged pro-life advocates should be doing

    • jasperjava September 28th, 2014 at 8:32 pm

As liberals, we should value human beings whether they were born in or out of wedlock. The pejorative “bastard” is uncalled for, especially since it’s in no way the child’s fault whether his or her parents are married or not.

Nor should liberals have a narrow conception of what constitutes “getting it right”. Love, marriage, baby carriage may be fine and dandy with some people, but there are myriad types of family arrangements, some by choice and some by circumstance.

I “get” that you’re criticizing the Right’s hypocritical “morality” by throwing it back in their faces. It just seems that you’re coming across as one of them, by seeming to insist that there’s only ONE “right, moral and correct” way to go about things.

      • Spirit September 30th, 2014 at 12:57 am

Wow @jasperjava:disqus I could not have said that better touche`!!! Very well put!!!
