After George Zimmerman shot and killed unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin, he has become more fearful even to the point of his father worrying that his son will kill FBI agents.

In an attempt to rebrand his image, Robert Zimmerman Jr., George’s brother, told GQ that he considered making the acquitted killer a reality star. “I learn a lot from watching Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” Robert said.

[su_center_ad]Robert and George’s little sister, Grace, declared,”We need to get guns!” when she saw the first news report on her phone.

The Zimmermans already owned at least ten guns altogether, between Grace and her fiancé, her two brothers, and her parents. Grace went on to buy herself a new Taurus pistol.

The paranoia is palpable:

They watched the movie Argo to learn how to live like CIA. Code names for everyone. No mail delivered to the house. No visitors. No talking to the few neighbors they had. No long phone conversations—keep it short and vague to outwit surveillance. Never discuss your whereabouts via phone or text. Keep a weapon close by at all times. Robert slept with his gun. Still does.

And in case someone—or multiple someones—decided to mount an attack on the house, the Zimmermans pre-packed their own “go-bags” filled with everything they would need to flee in a rush, as well as what they called “footballs”—like the one President Obama has with the nuclear codes—that contained laptops, cell phones, and other essential electronics.

They also memorized a color-coded threat-ID system. Code blue: Law enforcement at the door. Code brown: Draw your weapons. Code black: Come out guns blazing.

The most frightening part of the GQ interview, was when George’s father, Bob, said his son’s big fear right now is that he’ll be charged with federal civil rights violations for the Martin shooting.

“He’s worried,” Bob said, “that if FBI agents come and kick in his door, he’s probably gonna shoot a few of them.”

Many of us are also worried that George will shoot someone else.  Thank Republicans for pouring in donations so that George could buy more weapons, if he takes another life. It’s a toss up on whether this guy will go off the rails.

  4. M D Reese September 29th, 2014 at 5:25 pm

It would be fitting if Zimmerman committed suicide-by-cop.

  5. Rusty Shackleford September 29th, 2014 at 5:34 pm

Compare and contrast: Marvin Louis Guy, a black man who actually did what Zimmerman is merely threatening to do.

Shot and killed a SWAT officer who came crawling through his window, unannounced and unidentified, at 5 AM. A perfectly reasonable response to an armed stranger climbing through your window.

And he’s being charged by the state of Texas for murder, and they’re pushing for the death penalty.

    • mea_mark September 29th, 2014 at 6:00 pm

The Texas judicial system is corrupt and almost as bad as it is in Ferguson. I have been lied to so many times by officers here in Texas I lost track many years ago. The sad thing is it is because we voted in so many corrupt republican leaders, we did it to ourselves.

Who would want to watch a “reality” show featuring a fat pasty killer of an unarmed teen?..

    • Suzanne McFly September 29th, 2014 at 7:13 pm

I guess by watching him, you will feel happy your life isn’t that effed up. It’s like people who look at car wrecks, they like to see destruction especially when it is someone else.

  17. tiredoftea September 29th, 2014 at 11:58 pm

An entire family of delusional clowns who underestimate their unimportance to the rest of us. There’s a simple solution, tell George to stop his belligerence and get help with whatever mental issues he’s dealing with. Oh, and family therapy, too, because he’s not the only one who needs help. Kardashians??!!!!

    • majii September 30th, 2014 at 12:07 am

Things have not turned out the way GZ, his family, and his supporters thought they would. What they seemed to forget is that karma can be a mean old b*tch. Imo, they deserve the way they’re being treated because they tried to exploit the death of an unarmed teen for personal and financial gain. I don’t care to hear them whine about their problems, on air or in print. They and their supporters did everything they could to portray Trayvon Martin’s life as having zero value. Now they get to experience feeling like outcasts for the rest of their lives. At the time of the killing and in the months running up to GZ’s trial, they were sure that a majority of us were on their side. They are now getting a real life lesson that shows them not to believe what a small group of supporters and the media tells them. Most Americans don’t support gunning unarmed individuals down in our streets, no matter who the gunman is.

      • Skydog2 September 30th, 2014 at 3:54 am

A fair trial was held and GZ was found not guilty time to move on.

GZ’s family members did nothing wrong, why should they receive death threats and need to live in seclusion?

        • Carla Akins September 30th, 2014 at 4:13 am

Uh, no. Did I stop believing thinking Casey Anthony killed her daughter or OJ Simpson killed his ex-wife and Ron Goldman? All three got away with murder and I believe all of them still present a danger. Well, not OJ so much these days.

          • Skydog2 September 30th, 2014 at 8:03 am

I have no problem with people believing GZ was a killer, after all it’s a free country. But threatening violence to GZ and/or his unquestionably innocent family members is taking it too far.

          • Carla Akins September 30th, 2014 at 8:44 am

I din’t threaten them, and I know of no one that did. The level of paranoia from his family members is off the charts. Had they not made themselves public figures by going on every news and talk show. Much like this article – complete with photos, they wouldn’t have to worry so much about the public being familiar with their faces. They complain about about the notoriety and then plan to create a reality show – please. They are attention whores.

          • Skydog2 September 30th, 2014 at 10:35 am

Sorry, I didn’t mean to imply you threatened them.

          • cbts September 30th, 2014 at 10:45 am

            Don’t forget Robert Blake.

  18. majii September 30th, 2014 at 12:00 am

It appears that GZ’s unnecessary actions on that dark February night in 2012 have had some lasting and very negative effects on every member of the Zimmerman Family. Although he was judged to be innocent in killing Trayvon Martin, it seems that GZ’s actions that night have made them all paranoid, gun-toting, broke and broken pariahs.

    • fahvel September 30th, 2014 at 4:07 am

not innocent – not culpable for a crime.

  19. RedFlyr October 31st, 2014 at 3:45 pm
