Pat Buchanan addressed Obama’s remarks on Ferguson, Missouri, claiming he was “stoking the fires of racial resentment” after the president spoke of Michael Brown’s shooting by police.

Citing unconfirmed, and likely fabricated reports that Brown “smashed” officer Darren Wilson’s eye socket, Buchanan claimed that Brown’s death had nothing to do with race, warning that if “a St. Louis officer is wounded or killed in revenge for Brown, President Obama will deserve a full share of the moral responsibility.”

[su_center_ad]Buchanan wrote, “What, other than its racial aspect, can explain why Obama is so hung up on Ferguson? At the Congressional Black Caucus dinner Saturday, he was back stoking the embers.”

He cited Obama’s remarks, writing, “Too many young men of color feel targeted by law enforcement, guilty of walking while black or driving while black – judged by stereotypes that fuel fear and resentment and hopelessness.”

“Obama is here implying that Michael Brown was profiled, judged “guilty of walking while black,” when shot and killed,” Buchanan declared, without citing a source.

“But that is false, and Barack Obama knows it is false.”

Buchanan writes  (I’m linking to Right Wing Watch instead because I have standards):

Brown had just knocked over a convenience store after collaring the clerk and was walking in the middle of the main street in Ferguson, blocking traffic, when Officer Darren Wilson confronted him.

Did Wilson shoot Brown in a racist rage? Or did Wilson, face battered and eye socket smashed in a fight with the 290-pound, 6-foot-4-inch Brown, empty his gun in self-defense? We do not know. And neither does Barack Obama.

For weeks, a grand jury in St. Louis County has been hearing testimony, trying to sort it out. But by implying the shooting was done for racial reasons, that Brown may have been “targeted” for “walking while black,” Obama is stoking the fires of racial resentment.

Why is he parroting a party line about America that he knows is more myth than truth? White cops are not the great lurking danger, nor the leading cause of violent death, of black teenagers and men.

That role is fulfilled by other black teenagers and other black men. And the statistics on the ugliest forms of racial violence in America – interracial assaults, rapes, murders – reveal that such crimes are overwhelmingly black-on-white.

Saturday night, a Ferguson cop was shot in an incident unrelated to August. But Chief Jackson and State Highway Patrol Capt. Ron Johnson have told the Washington Post their officers have been repeatedly threatened and, since August, have come under gunfire.

If a St. Louis officer is wounded or killed in revenge for Brown, President Obama will deserve a full share of the moral responsibility.

It is time he started acting like a president of all the people and dropped this role of outside agitator.

This takes “It’s Obama’s fault” to a whole different level. Whenever Obama mentions his race or someone else’s, the right wing claims he’s trying to provoke a race war. Buchanan is no different.

Buchanan is the author of, “The End Of White America” where he writes about the evils of diversity, so this column comes as no shock. Obama did not address the situation in Ferguson in a timely manner, and it’s no wonder why. The man cannot talk about race without being blamed for every injustice in the world. Obama has the audacity to Preside while black and Buchanan is calling him out.[su_csky_ad]

Haha! I get it! It’s a joke! It would be ironic for a cop in Ferguson, rolling up in his armored vehicle stocked with military surplus weapons and tear gas, to be shot by the unarmed nonviolent protestors he’s inflicting state-sponsored violence upon!

In fact, you can DOUBLE the irony when you account for the fact that these protests only exist in the first place because the cops are circling the wagons around another cop who murdered a kid!

Lest we forget their “I am Darren Wilson” bracelets.

      • Rusty Shackleford September 30th, 2014 at 4:54 pm

Angry as everyone got over that, I feel like the message that they stood in solidarity with the killer cop was already made crystal clear when they started teargassing the protestors. The bracelet was just kinda beating the point into the head of anyone thick enough to not get it yet.

        • Anomaly 100 September 30th, 2014 at 4:59 pm

Yeah, they pretty much confirmed what we already knew.

      • tracey marie September 30th, 2014 at 4:57 pm

OT question for a mod. 2 comments were deleted, one asking about a lie and the other asking why someone would use a racist word….is it because the original poster was deleted that mine was as well?

        • Carla Akins September 30th, 2014 at 5:03 pm

Maybe, often yes it takes the replies but I’d have to look. Which story?

          • tracey marie September 30th, 2014 at 5:09 pm

George zimmerman story, I know my post was clean, respectful and a question… It seems that is the reason. Thanks for the answer, I was curious no need to check.

          • Carla Akins September 30th, 2014 at 5:21 pm

The last deleted items I could find on a Zman story was the “I can’t lie” from last week, but none bearing your name. If your comment was a reply to to one that was deleted, that could be why you don’t see it on the story but my understanding is that you should be able to still see it in your DISQUS history. They have been implementing many changes recently and some of those involve the delete process. I didn’t see anything with your name in the deleted section, but only the ones we manually delete show there. Sorry. mea_mark is the real expert on disqus – he may have additional info on this.

Thought so, thank you so much for answering and checking. Very refreshing being treated with respect by a political site, rarely happens

          • Anomaly 100 September 30th, 2014 at 5:22 pm

I don’t see any of your comments in the deleted file. Disqus is glitchy sometimes, or it’s because someone you were replying to had their comment deleted.

          • tracey marie September 30th, 2014 at 6:05 pm

It showed a red delete next to my comment , all is good. If my comment was deleted because of whom and what I was responding to I understand

          • mea_mark September 30th, 2014 at 6:20 pm

Disqus didn’t use to do that, I will have to keep that in mind in the future. It used to be the replys stayed and just the comment being deleted disappeared.

          • mea_mark September 30th, 2014 at 6:13 pm

I don’t see any comments like that anywhere. Check your user profile (it’s private, I can’t) and see if it is there. Even deleted comments should still be in your profile. If it is not there Disqus must of inadvertently lost it. Disqus does try to retain everything you write, moderators can’t delete what is in your profile.

          • tracey marie September 30th, 2014 at 6:22 pm

It is in my dosgus file that is how I know. I believe the explanation of the original deleted comment and the reply were deleted together. All is good with all you wonderful mods and this site

Really? It’s Obama’s fault, Pat? Not the forty years of xenophobic and racist crap spewing forth from your little brain? Not your white supremacist rants every time you get more than one person near you? Not your white power speech at Republican conventions? Not you, Pat, not you. You have no responsibility in shaping Officer Wilson’s hatred and fear, do you?

are you really mean and stupid or just pulling people’s legs?

  4. neworleans878 September 30th, 2014 at 4:28 pm

Night after night, Bill O’Reilly was on T.V. blasting George “Tiller the baby killer” along with a couple of other R.W. firebrands. When called out for it Bill blithely explained that they were just words, and that he bore no responsibility.

If any thing, God help us, every happens to Barrack Obama, they’ll be singing the same tune.

So unless you’re willing to call out your own you can GFY you sanctimonious POS.

    • Larry Schmitt September 30th, 2014 at 4:55 pm

When words is what you use, you bear responsibility. Otherwise, a shooter could say, “It’s just bullets, I’m not responsible.”

      • Lorraine Easterling October 1st, 2014 at 11:01 am

        I agree Larry

    • Skydog2 October 1st, 2014 at 2:20 am

The old “if O’Reilly does it then it’s ok for Obama to do it” defense.

Whenever a known racist and rabble rouser projects you know they are wrong and looking to start a fight so they can play victim

  6. forpeace September 30th, 2014 at 5:34 pm

    Oh my God!!

    Pat Buchanan is back AGAIN!

He is all we needed right now, all the bigots who have been hiding in a cave for a long time, are coming out to blame something on President Obama.

    This is a Jesus Moment.

  7. Kingminnie September 30th, 2014 at 7:34 pm

He accuses President Obama of parroting a party line that is more myth than truth, while he cites a mythical “fight” where Wilson has a battered face and smashed eye socket. A fabrication that has been most thoroughly debunked, every stinking non-fact about the “smashed” eye socket has been proven as false and the guy who made it up called out. I deplore these effers.

  8. granpa.usthai September 30th, 2014 at 9:25 pm

I disagree with Buchanan completely. I believe America’s Police Officers should hold themselves to a much higher standard than the filthy disgusting white racist trashy rabble that FAILED in their attempt to overthrow the Government of The United States of America with a lot of the missing Military armaments in Nevada.

  9. Denise September 30th, 2014 at 11:44 pm

the dead has arisen. I think a old folks home is missing a senile resident

I thought this racist dinosaur was buried and gone, who dug this neanderthal back up?

  11. Skydog2 October 1st, 2014 at 2:18 am

The “peaceful protestors” are shooting, throwing rocks & bottles at the police. Obama stokes the fires of racial resentment rather than calming things down.

    • Rusty Shackleford October 1st, 2014 at 3:27 am

So the police are allowed to instigate violence with tear gas, dogs, wooden pellets, and rubber bullets, but the citizenry isn’t allowed to retaliate with rocks and bottles? So apparently you believe the state is entitled to inflict violence upon its citizens without repercussions. Violence amplified by the use of weaponry and equipment that these citizens paid for.

  12. mrbigstuff October 1st, 2014 at 10:33 am

My wife left me ,wait for it,its Obamas fault.

  13. Lorraine Easterling October 1st, 2014 at 10:59 am

He’s still stupid as always and a racist. Nothing new.
