Not only are we causing the world to heat up, we’re driving out the animal population.

The global loss of species is even worse than previously thought, the London Zoological Society (ZSL) says in its new Living Planet Index.

The report suggests populations have halved in 40 years, as new methodology gives more alarming results than in a report two years ago.

The report says populations of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish have declined by an average of 52%.

Populations of freshwater species have suffered an even worse fall of 76%…

The society’s report, in conjunction with the pressure group WWF, says humans are cutting down trees more quickly than they can re-grow, harvesting more fish than the oceans can re-stock, pumping water from rivers and aquifers faster than rainfall can replenish them, and emitting more carbon than oceans and forests can absorb…

The report shows that the biggest recorded threat to biodiversity comes from the combined impacts of habitat loss and degradation, driven by what WWF calls unsustainable human consumption. [su_csky_ad]

We are so eager to explore space and look for intelligent life outside of our planet…yet we destroy, without a thought our own people and animals.

not too bad of a problem – the planet will heal itself when the very new and evil species begins its decline sooner than later.

Unfortunately capitalism rewards destruction of the planet. Eventually capitalism needs to change or humanity will cease to flourish.

The Wildlife Animals aren’t being eaten. They are being killed and used as a trophy; for the Rich. Let’s charge and fine them!!

The earth is wildly over populated, using up more and more resources. Planned Parenthood is looking really good right about now.

Yes…. wildly overpopulated… I’ve thought that for a long time now. It’s something that needs to be addressed. People need to be taught at a young age to be more aware of their actions in all sorts of ways.

…to be more aware of their actions and to take precautions. And having the Vatican threaten the gullible birth control users with eternal damnation doesn’t help.
