President Obama learned about being on an elevator with an armed ex-convict only minutes before it became public Tuesday. That was the death knell for Secret Service head Julia Pierson.

[su_center_ad]Ms. Pierson’s support in the West Wing began crumbling late Tuesday, in large part because she did not tell the White House of a security failure in Atlanta last month when an armed man was allowed to ride in an elevator with President Obama at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Despite meeting with the president last week, Ms. Pierson informed him about the incident only minutes before it was reported in the news media on Tuesday evening, officials said.

Josh Earnest, the White House press secretary, said Ms. Pierson’s delay in telling the president was a crucial part of “recent and accumulating reports about the performance of the agency” that led Mr. Obama to conclude that the Secret Service needed new leadership.[su_csky_ad]

Has anybody discussed why there were no alarms going off, non-stop, triggered by the bullet hole in the bedroom window?

Inciting panic can often make a problem worse. The last thing you want to do is have a bunch of people getting in the way of those that have a job to do in what may or may not be a real crises. Warnings should go out discreetly at first until it is determined to be a real catastrophe or emergency. Surely you remember the old adage about crying wolf. One bullet hole is cause for great concern but not panic.

Panic aside, if someone breaks one of my windows, there’s an alarm of some kind going off. Apparently there’s not even a silent one at the WH to alert security of a physical breach of the building’s structure. As I understand it, the hole in the window went undiscovered for some days.

There should be sensors on all the windows if one breaks or cracks, a silent alarm should go off. Why that isn’t the case is a question that should be addressed. There seems to be some very basic flaws that are being overlooked.

But nobody even knew for 4 days. As far as panic should alarms go off there must be a safe room that the first family would be taken in the event of an attack. In this case everyone seemed to be sitting around for 4 days having tea and cookies. Same applies to an intruder the alarms were turned off.

Read the article at Huffington Post. This woman believed she should cut WH coverage to 30 from 100 and that security should be fashioned after Disney World. Peter principle at its worst.

I’m sure Republicans like Issa and Graham will insist on a hearing
and find that it was Obamas fault because of his father being from that country with alot of black people.
