Guantanamo insures more opposition which insures more recruits for groups such as ISIS which in turn insures more returns for the financial backers of groups such as ISIS into their offshore bank accounts that hold no accountability for their transactions. It’s a “FEED THE GREED” scenario that POTUS Eisenhower (an expert on the military side of industrial output) warned US about in his Farewell Speech .

Just think of what that $1B+ could do to help the unemployed (insurance and jobs)…or education system…or immigration reform…or poverty…or healthcare…or infrastructure. Just think about it….

      @ $1,000,000,000:

people who are unemployed and looking for work (estimated at 9,600,000) would be able to have a $1 sandwich 3 times per day for about 35 days. Keeping them in sustainable health to be a good employee from the get go, making our streets a bit safer and most of all, letting them know they got the whole damn nation backing them.

THIS CONGRESS (those who are required to levy taxes, and work for the good and general welfare of the citizens, eg: holders of the purse) should have federally issued REM (ready eat meals) cards immediately available for any US Citizen who files for unemployment instead of wasting the money on insuring that those who are financing the opposition through offshore banking are getting 1’000 + returns through the US Treasury.
