Police Say Missouri Officer Took Video Of Teen Boy’s Genitals During Search
A former Chesterfield, Mo., police officer used a secret camera installed in a gas station men’s room to take close-up video images of a teenage boy’s genitals while he detained and searched the boy, according to authorities.
After 6-years on the job, 33-year-old David Cerna was fired from the Chesterfield Police Department and faces a charge of sexual exploitation of a minor and second-degree invasion of privacy involving multiple victims.
[su_center_ad]Authorities say Cerna also lured anonymous sex partners to his home through Craigslist ads.
A St. Louis County grand jury handed down its indictment this week. An arraignment on the new charges is set for Oct. 22nd, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Cerna was charged back in June in St. Louis and St. Charles counties.
The most recent round of allegations involve the teen boy and other male victims.
Cerna was charged in August with sexual exploitation of a minor and second-degree invasion of privacy of multiple people, and the grand jury’s indictment was filed on Wednesday.
Court records indicate that between Aug. 1, 2013, and Jan. 21, 2014, Cerna allegedly used a secret camera to videotape the boy and two other males under their clothing.
According to the Dispatch, the charge of sexual exploitation stems from Jan. 21st of this year after he allegedly created child pornography of the teen by filming his genitals with a hidden camera.
Using a search warrant, police seized Cerna’s computer and discovered videos showing several male victims being searched while Cerna detained them in Chesterfield, officials say.
From the videos, investigators discovered the identities of the victims.
In the previous case, Cerna obtained videos from a spy camera he installed in a men’s restroom at the Mobil On The Run gas station located south of Chesterfield Mall.
Some of those videos and dozens more taped with sex partners at the officer’s home, were hosted on his porn website.
