After it was revealed that some of Republican Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett’s political appointees traded hardcore porn in emails, resignations ensued.

Feathers

[su_center_ad]In a letter to Corbett, appointee Randy Feathers refused to resign, saying he wants Democratic Attorney General Kathleen Kane, who revealed the evidence, to name an independent forensic expert to review what Kane called inappropriate emails linked to Feathers that were provided to the governor’s office at his request, according to the Daily News.

Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan will reportedly remain in office, for now, The Patriot-News reports

Corbett, in a statement released minutes ago, noted that texts of the emails supplied by Attorney General Kathleen Kane’s office shows no evidence that Noonan opened, originated, forwarded or replied to any message.

Prior to Thursday, Kane had previously only shown some of the images attached to the files, without any details from the underlying emails.

The new data, while confirming that Noonan was routinely copied on what appeared to be a large “boys’ club” circuit within the office, shows no replies or forwards to his colleagues.

Late in September, Attorney General Kathleen Kane showed the emails to reporters which included videos of women masturbating by inserting a bowling pin and a lit cigar.[su_csky_ad]

Bowling pins and lit cigars….naughty boys.

  2. edmeyer_able October 5th, 2014 at 9:55 am

I know I shouldn’t laugh at that but ‘a lit cigar’ could be dangerous….

    • StoneyCurtisll October 5th, 2014 at 10:30 am

Not to mention the bowling pin…;)

      • Larry Schmitt October 5th, 2014 at 11:10 am

        Ditto.

      • Saint_Augustine October 6th, 2014 at 1:32 pm

Was it a 10-pin or a duck-pin? Inquiring minds want to know!

    • Larry Schmitt October 5th, 2014 at 11:09 am

Depends on which end is used.

    • Dwendt44 October 5th, 2014 at 1:12 pm

Particularly if the woman in question is ‘gaseous’, as in farts a lot.

  3. Denise October 5th, 2014 at 10:21 am

that’s ok, they’ll all be resigning In 4 weeks.

  4. Larry Schmitt October 5th, 2014 at 10:27 am

So at the very least, they should take away Noonan’s computer, since he doesn’t open his emails. That one is a little hard to believe, about on the level with “but I didn’t inhale.”

  5. StoneyCurtisll October 5th, 2014 at 10:34 am

    “Randy Feathers”?
Sounds like a bad porn “actors” name…
    And the photo of him..
There has to be a link to the Onion somewhere in this story.

    • Larry Schmitt October 5th, 2014 at 11:24 am

That’s the most sincere sneer I’ve ever seen.

      • StoneyCurtisll October 5th, 2014 at 11:32 am

Ya think the sneer is bad?..

We know that couldn’t really happen, because a real congressman could never be that honest. Think Anthony Weiner.

      • StoneyCurtisll October 5th, 2014 at 11:23 am

        Indeed~!

    Boys will be boys…
It sure would be nice if they grew the hell up though.

    • edmeyer_able October 5th, 2014 at 12:29 pm

Whether or not they grow up isn’t an issue to me but using gov. services for such things should not be tolerated.
I worked for DHS and I saw this abuse of computers and training time more than once, and the sad part is many of these individuals were promoted.

Several years ago, the IG of the DC city govt found dozens of employees who were using govt computers to visit porn sites, during the work day. Why there were not filters already installed to prevent anyone from visiting sites like that, I don’t know. But they cleaned house, firing a bunch of people, suspending others, and even trying and sentencing some. It had been going on for years. No telling how many tax dollars were wasted.

        • Dwendt44 October 5th, 2014 at 1:15 pm

Even the best ‘filters’ catch only some of the porn sites. Though I would think that a filter would notify a supervisor if a visit were attempted. That would dissuade most from trying to visit.
Many businesses delete ‘solitaire’ from office computers, even though that little enjoyment can actually work FOR creative and productive employees. What distraction is left besides porn?

          • Larry Schmitt October 5th, 2014 at 1:19 pm

But they didn’t have any filters. And maybe if there’s not enough work to fill their day, their hours should be cut.

  10. tiredoftea October 5th, 2014 at 1:24 pm

So, he’s clean because he only viewed it on state time and didn’t forward it? Ummm. OK.

  11. Red Eye Robot October 5th, 2014 at 2:56 pm

the emails were sent when Fast Eddie Rendell (D) was governor, oddly no mention of this. But a republican governor takes over and it’s now a problem

    • arc99 October 5th, 2014 at 4:49 pm

Gov. Rendell left office in January 2011.

      Please provide your source verifying that the emails were sent prior to that date. Until then, your post will be filed under the category of “Just Another Right Wing Lie”;

    • Larry Schmitt October 5th, 2014 at 5:08 pm

The emails were traded when the current republican governor was AG of Pennsylvania. This is from the Harrisburg Patriot News of Sept 25: “The emails sampled for reporters Thursday were, according to one of Kane’s agents, received by a series of prominent members of Corbett’s Attorney General staff during the years of the Jerry Sandusky investigation: 2008 through 2011.”

  12. burqa October 5th, 2014 at 8:01 pm

One of those who resigned was named Glenn Parno.

  13. Obewon October 6th, 2014 at 1:47 am

PA Repubs using their official .Gov email ID’s for porn, are also guilty of possessing, sending & receiving ‘Illegal Lewd Porn’ of any inserted “bowling pin”-wider than a coke-can, which is banned under US law!
