According to CBS Detroit, the 2,400-square foot house is a two-story brick colonial residing on the east side of Detroit.

However, the homeowner owes more than $6,000 in back taxes on the older house, which he or she calls an “investor special,” notes the MotorCityMuckraker.com.

Pictures of the home appear to show broken shutters, smashed windows and a missing door.

The asking price for the dilapidated house was originally $5,000, but was dropped to $1,000 in July.[su_csky_ad]
