[su_right_ad]Just as the National Association of Black Journalists decries the exodus of black talent away from CNN, the network has invited conservative Blacksphere host Kevin Jackson on to tell protesters in Ferguson that their protesting might make cops not want to protect them. In a segment related to renewed protests in Missouri over the shooting of 18 year-old Vonderrit Myers Jr. by an off-duty St. Louis police officer, Jackson was introduced, not as a virulent conservative commentator, but simply as a guy who runs a website and wrote a book.

Jackson starts off, reasonably enough, by saying that people have a right to protest, but that he doesn’t feel the outrage is justified in this case. According to police, they have recovered a weapon that Myers allegedly used to fire three shots at the officer, who fired 17 times at Myers, killing him. Family members allege that the teen was holding nothing but a sandwich.

But then, Jackson brings up the “disproportionate amount of crime in the black community,” and accuses protesters of making cops not want to protect them…READ MORE[su_csky_ad]

Seems to me the cops have already demonstrated no interest in protecting them, they just want to shoot them.

As one employer said to me, When someone screws up that bad Hit them in the wallet to remind them never to do it again.

Well, I feel better now! I mistakenly thought those videos of cops shooting black and brown people are real. It turns out that James O’Keefe has been doing another expose about black people in our country who are actually trying to make cops look bad by killing themselves near cops, with the cops guns, while the cops are on break.

  3. Larry Schmitt October 10th, 2014 at 5:26 pm

So that’s how it works? The cops only have to protect people who like them? And politicians only represent people who agree with them? I wish I had known that’s how it worked a long time ago.

Did anyone tell this idiot that it’s their F’n job to protect them?

Who protects them from firebombs and bullets?

  5. Pat Padrnos October 10th, 2014 at 6:30 pm

I really don’t know if I have the right words to respond to this inept fool. So…..what I get from this is – the cop has to feel the person they may be confronting likes them? Is that right? Did I miss something? If the cop – for some reason feels he/she is not liked by the person they are confronting then all bets are off. Did I get it right?

  6. mea_mark October 10th, 2014 at 6:47 pm

That is right they shouldn’t. They should be fired and hire some people that care about the community and will do their job. It is clearly way pass time to start over.

      Exactly.

  9. searambler October 10th, 2014 at 10:29 pm

I think if it were up to conservatives, cops would be able to pick and choose who they ‘serve and protect.’ Based on, I don’t know, their deeply held religious beliefs I guess…..

Why should people like the police that murder and teargas them?

It’s interesting because you happened to find a single black man who publicly supports the tea party? According to a CBS/NY Times poll, “Eighteen percent of Americans identify as Tea Party supporters. The vast majority of them — 89 percent — are white. Just one percent is black.”

      http://www.cbsnews.com/news/tea-party-supporters-who-they-are-and-what-they-believe/

Not exactly representative of all Americans.

      • R.J. Carter October 11th, 2014 at 10:07 pm

Does a group who has a minority of a particular race a de facto racist group?
Is this the same “single black man” the same Tea Party supporter who got his ass kicked by the SIEU thugs in St. Louis?

        • Larry Schmitt October 12th, 2014 at 8:26 am

I didn’t say they are racist, I said they don’t represent America.
