Open Carry activists would have us believe that people are not afraid of guns while they strut into family friendly establishments with military-style weapons strapped to their backs.

[su_center_ad]The Angleton Mayor’s office was informed that Open Carry Texas members will attend the Brazoria County Fair Parade in Angleton on Saturday and felt it necessary to issue a press release “so that citizens attending the parade will not be alarmed.”

Via Your Houston News:

The Fair Parade committee approved this group’s application. They have agreed not to carry any firearms in the parade; however there may be members of the group along the parade route displaying rifles, shotguns and black powder pistols in open holsters, which is legal in TX.

This information is being released in the interest of Public Safety so that citizens attending the parade will not be alarmed if they sec non-uniformed individuals carrying weapons.

[sic]

So a press release was issued so that the public will not be “alarmed” when they see an armed gang of white guys standing along the parade route displaying their long guns. Open Carry Texas and other groups have been marching in parades lately as a form of self-promotion, which they no doubt will call ‘exercising their Second Amendment rights.”

What these groups are trying to do is desensitize the population so that witnessing their tactics will eventually not be an issue with residents in neighborhoods they invade. Because their rights trump yours. Because they are just that f*cking special. Because sometimes intimidation works and they will push the boundaries.

Because they don’t care what you think, if you’re uncomfortable or if your children are frightened.

Big thanks to my friend out there for sending me the link.[su_csky_ad]

If they are not in a designated area along the route I could avoid, I wouldn’t go or take children.

    • M D Reese October 11th, 2014 at 8:22 pm

Any more, I’d just avoid crowds, period. Especially if there is booze available.

      • searambler October 11th, 2014 at 10:44 pm

Booze and firearms? What could possibly go wrong?

        • M D Reese October 11th, 2014 at 11:23 pm

Time-honored American party staples. I’m surprised that there was no gunfire at the Palin family brawl. Alaska is big on guns, and there are basically no restrictions on them.

  2. whatthe46 October 11th, 2014 at 5:14 pm

and no one should be alarmed when one of them just happens to be bi-polar or a paranoid schiziod. this is the best opportunity to allow someone of ill will to exact their want, to just shoot the fk out of people. pigs in a blanket.

    • M D Reese October 11th, 2014 at 8:21 pm

I’d make a wild guess that roughly half of them would not pass a background check.

      • whatthe46 October 11th, 2014 at 9:58 pm

        you’re being generous.

        • M D Reese October 11th, 2014 at 10:15 pm

You’re probably right. And my gawd–don’t they feel just a little bit silly?

          • whatthe46 October 11th, 2014 at 10:44 pm

why? they are operating with only a few brain cells between the lot of them.

          • M D Reese October 11th, 2014 at 10:59 pm

True that–they probably think that they look really cool–just like their favorite video game. If they think at all, they may be wondering why all the sexy babes (in their imagination) aren’t flocking to them…

  3. Jones October 11th, 2014 at 5:18 pm

    Terrific opportunity for a terrorist.

    • whatthe46 October 11th, 2014 at 5:30 pm

and you can trust their weapons WILL be loaded.

    • M D Reese October 11th, 2014 at 8:19 pm

I wonder what they’ll do it the black open carry group shows up.

        • M D Reese October 11th, 2014 at 10:23 pm

I can hear the Monty Python knights yelling “Run away! Run away!” in the background…

      • cargosquid October 12th, 2014 at 5:46 pm

What will you do if a black group shows up?

        • M D Reese October 12th, 2014 at 5:48 pm

Huh? Read about it, I guess…

          • cargosquid October 13th, 2014 at 1:32 am

That is exactly what we would do.

Or we would stand beside them.

          • M D Reese October 13th, 2014 at 5:52 pm

Where I live there are about 20 black people and there are no open carry groups of any race, so I won’t be seeing it happen here. So I’ll just have to read about it.

When you have to send out advance notices to people that you aren’t going to kill them, you just might be doing something wrong.

    • Anomaly 100 October 11th, 2014 at 6:06 pm

      This ^,

    • cargosquid October 12th, 2014 at 5:44 pm

You send out advance notice because there are hoplophobes like the gun control bigots out there that like to SWAT innocent people.

  6. StoneyCurtisll October 11th, 2014 at 6:00 pm

I hope no one is alarmed if Muqtada al-Sadr’s Mahdi Army also openly carries their weapons in a display of support for “second amendment” rights and open carry laws in Texas…

Something tells me that an anti-ISIL militia, (the Mahdi Army) would not be welcome in Texas..(armed or other wise)..

Whats the difference between these “white Texan Christian militia” and the “Mahadi Army” in Iraq?.
They seem to be cut out of the same cloth.

  7. StoneyCurtisll October 11th, 2014 at 6:09 pm

I dont understand what it is that compels people to openly brandish assault style rifles or any fire arms in public..
We have all seen the videos of those in other countries with AK-47’s and even RPG’s walking the streets and even emptying 30 round magizines in to he air in “celebration”..

Is this the kind on nation we want to become?..
    Or are we already there?

    • searambler October 11th, 2014 at 10:41 pm

Winchester wants that. Every shot fired into the air is money in their pocket.

I compare them to ISIS. The only difference is the beards.

        • josephKing October 11th, 2014 at 11:04 pm

I’m not a Christian, but I’ll stand by their side any day of the week fighting the Islamists. Also, don’t call them ISIS, try daesh instead.

          • whatthe46 October 11th, 2014 at 11:38 pm

christians are fighting against Americans everyday. only difference is they are not beheading anyone. if you don’t agree with their beliefs (they are your biggest hypocrites by the way) they will protest your funeral, protest your lifestyle, send threatening messages to harm your family. my ass. oh and threaten to murder people crossing the border and let’s not forget, burning crosses, or claiming the jews are going to hell. well along with everyone else but them.

      • Dwendt44 October 12th, 2014 at 12:36 am

The Nazis were for the most part christians. Hitler was a good Catholic.

I don’t have Facebook, joker. I actually have principals and utilize capitalism to keep money from organization I don’t agree with. Why would you want to support Zuckerberg when he want to bring in millions of high skill workers with H1 visas, pay them crap, and take jobs from Americans?

Awesome, I’m so glad that we have a President who can unilaterally change settled law. Much better to have that, than to use those pesky methods put forth by the out of date Constitution.

          • Obewon October 11th, 2014 at 11:31 pm

“Why did your Insurer dump you? “?!?!?! You didn’t know 300 repub amendments & Bills were included in ‘2010’s HC reform law reducing Federal Deficits $1.5T’-CBO? (ACA was paid for upon signing 3/21/14. The 27 M HC.Gov & State exchange buyers are primarily why CBO proves the ACA today saves more & costs less:)

Similarly you cried when GWB changed & delayed his “unfunded $500B” Medicare Part D Rollout for 6 Mos+’becuase of the Jewish holiday’?- True! You can’t make up GOP’s ‘We’ve got to stop being the party of of stupid shit’-Jindal

          • josephKing October 11th, 2014 at 11:47 pm

I’m a libertarian, not a republican. Sorry, to disappoint you.

          • Obewon October 11th, 2014 at 11:54 pm

No you’re not! You vote Repub because there are only GOP & DEMS in the the House with just 2 Senate Indy’s in the Senate who both caucus with Dems Sen (I-VT) Sanders & Sen. (I-ME) Angus King!

You didn’t know? e.g. So? “Why did your Insurer dump you?” Teabagging in the Dr’s reception area?

          • Dwendt44 October 12th, 2014 at 12:35 am

Every ‘Libertarian’ I’ve heard or read about seems to agree with the Republican agenda right down the line.

          • Dwendt44 October 12th, 2014 at 12:33 am

Maybe it’s because the Administrative arm of the government has the authority, via the Constitution, to administer said law. The chief of the Administrative arm of the government is the President and he and his staff have thought enough about the people and the problems of implementation that they delayed the transition for a while. The phoney claims by critics notwithstanding.

          • Spirit of America October 12th, 2014 at 1:30 am

This post is just on the aspect of administering the law as written. Some of the delays in implementation are/were perfectly w/in the POTUS’s domain. However, several delays weren’t(even though they had good ’cause’ as you noted) because of how the law was written… the dates there had ‘must be implemented’ and therefore any delay must be granted via a vote by congress and signed as law by POTUS as an amendment to the law changing the dates. POTUS did circumvent the law.

          • Obewon October 12th, 2014 at 1:35 am

If true then how come Issa’s ’50 weeks of hearings per year = “0 Indictments”‘? D’oh!

          • Spirit of America October 12th, 2014 at 1:48 am

The one has absolutely nothing to do w/the other.

          • Obewon October 12th, 2014 at 2:01 am

Issa=0 indictments because POTUS Obama Broke no laws vs your false “optnion” “any delay must be granted via a vote by congress and signed as law by POTUS as an amendment to the law changing the dates. POTUS did circumvent the law.”-Full of crap.

Who was dim enough to tell you that? Your Fantasy News Channel via some Limbaugh puppet? GWB’s Medicare Part D delays were?

          • Spirit of America October 12th, 2014 at 2:32 am

Just curious, why did you post, as a reply, a bunch of unrelated ramblings?
However, the language used in the 2 laws are different. Not to mention votes on the floor pertaining to Med B… contact the office of Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) for details.
Oh yea, not to mention that many of the dems did their best to derail it…. seems like both sides do it too…
            🙂

          • Obewon October 12th, 2014 at 2:45 am

Your false “claims” are always debunked. You remain debunked and a complete fool e.g.

            A) There is 00.00% proof of your claim ‘Obama broke the law’-by delaying the ACA implementation.
            ~Likewise~
            B) GWB’s Medicare Part D delays were what? And nobody said Medicare Part D delays were ‘breaking the law’ Felony? Impeachable?

Your elevator doesn’t go all the way to the top!

          • Spirit of America October 12th, 2014 at 3:51 am

“Your false “claims” are always debunked”
Sure they are, that’s why you ramble and throw out kiddy insults instead of stay on topic, eh?

And aren’t you the one who wouldn’t accept a simple wager a few months ago or so? I remember you now.

“A) There is 00.00% proof of your claim ‘Obama’s Administration broke the law’-by delaying the “Administration” of the ACA implementation.”
The proof is in the language nut case, and we’ll let the courts decide, it is in court as we type.

“B) GWB’s “Medicare Part D” delays were what? And nobody said “Medicare Part D” delays were ‘breaking the law’ Or a Felony? Or Impeachable?”
Again with the rambling and not making sense. YOU compared the two, I said they were different.

“Your elevator doesn’t go all the way to the top! “pertaining to Med B”-WTF? “contact the office of Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) for details”-Lol SoA: “Excuse Me I’d like to ask you a few questions”
Afraid of the answer you’d get, eh?

            And have a nice day.

          • Obewon October 12th, 2014 at 4:14 am

Did you get the update above preemptively debunking your delusions? E. G. Updated “When Medicare Part D faced early troubles, many blue states came to its rescue.”-PolitiFact http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2013/nov/13/steve-israel/medicare-part-d-and-obamacare-health-care-gov/

“The GOP says Obama’s decision to postpone implementing the “employer mandate” stomps all over the Constitution. It doesn’t, and here’s why (SoA’s sources are full of crap)” http://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2013/07/delaying-parts-of-obamacare-blatantly-illegal-or-routine-adjustment/277873/

As for ‘your wager’? That was the stupidest & dumbest bet ever offered with 0% likely acceptance by me, or any other LL’er. It took you days just to figure out you were denied a bet days earlier! Lol!

          • Spirit of America October 12th, 2014 at 4:25 am

“with 0% likely acceptance by me”
Because you knew you’d lose and that’s why it took you days to come right out and say no bet.

BTW, when you get old enough to get your driver’s license, you’ll find life gets better and you won’t be as petty and bitter as you are now. With more of a social life then just posting on the family computer or where your mother gives you rides to, you’ll find adult behavior(such as civility, coherent paragraphs and such) is so much better.

            Have a nice day.

          • Obewon October 12th, 2014 at 4:30 am

You offered nothing in your bet that would interest anyone on LL. Stick with betting mis/uninformed Limbots and faux news GOP TV junkies and impress yourself!

          • Spirit of America October 12th, 2014 at 4:45 am

            Have a nice day.

          • cargosquid October 13th, 2014 at 2:01 am

That was a nice puff piece that merely repeated the administrations justifications.

This piece is especially nice: The Administration has not postponed the employer mandate out of policy opposition to the ACA, nor to the specific provision itself. Thus, it’s misleading
to characterize the action as a “refusal to enforce.”

It is most definitely a refusal to enforce because the administration is opposed to the effects of the implementation. THAT is why it is illegal. Nowhere did the article provide any constitutional authority to change a law.

          • Obewon October 13th, 2014 at 2:21 am

If laws were broken then how come Issa’s 50 weeks of hearings per year = Zero Indictments? A: Issa is damaged goods that’s why GOP had to replace him as chairman.

          • cargosquid October 13th, 2014 at 2:55 am

Because Issa is busy with the other scandals. And the DOJ is blocking him.

          • Obewon October 13th, 2014 at 4:39 am

And as -you know every GOP congressional and Senate investigation proved the same thing that each Inspector General report concluded ‘No laws were broken by the Obama Admin.’

          • cargosquid October 13th, 2014 at 1:56 am

The authority to administer the law is not the authority to CHANGE the law. It must be administered as written and passed.

            Try again.

          • whatthe46 October 11th, 2014 at 11:19 pm

And I own a gun. And I’m a Liberal. And I think these open-carry douchelords are trying way too hard to over-compensate for their ‘shortcomings.’ And by ‘shortcomings’ I mean their micro-penises. There’s no other sane explanation for why they do what they do….

          • josephKing October 11th, 2014 at 10:48 pm

Wow, you people have some serious phallic fixations.

I agree that they are idiots, but to want to cower under the bed at the news of them being at the parade is laughable.

          • searambler October 11th, 2014 at 11:02 pm

Hey, we’re not the ones carrying around giant iron dicks strapped to our backs, pretending to be all manly, thinking we’re hot stuff because everyone is staring at us, and hiding like cowards behind the Second Amendment. These moronic children don’t frighten us. But the psychopaths among them do. One of these days one of them will snap, and bloody carnage will ensue. As a ‘rocket scientist’ (with terrible grammar and sentence structure), I’m sure you can understand that. Or maybe you’re just an idiot, too. Hard to tell here…..

          • josephKing October 11th, 2014 at 11:05 pm

Thanks for making my point, I love you!

          • whatthe46 October 11th, 2014 at 11:16 pm

why don’t you respond to my post above regarding your idiotic post about children.

          • DesertFox-1A October 21st, 2014 at 9:22 pm

No, it just meant that I if I attended the parade I would have to wear my Kevlar body armor, just in case someone made one of them upset and he threw a temper tantrum. When I was your age, there was no need for everybody to want to parade around carrying their phallic symbols and act all macho. And as to the phallic fixation, only those of you who think they need to act like that has that problem. No thanks, I will defend myself if you please, and not rely on someone who would p–s their pants if someone pulled a gun on them.
Those who think that they need to walk around with a long gun on their shoulder is more a danger to the 2nd Amendment right to own a firearm than any liberal politician ever will be. As they will cause such a alarm that the repeal of the 2nd Amendment would pass without any effort. You endanger my right to own and fire my weapons more than any other thing in this country,

“Texas ‘Sovereign Citizen’ Totally Loses His Sh*t, Sets Up Police Ambush, Opens Fire” i just read this article. now do you see why people have valid reasons to react? there will be police officers at these “events” and if some nut case wants to put on a front that he’s protesting for the same reasons, when in fact its his chance to “take out” the police/govt., i don’t find that a reason not to be afraid. get a grip.

Plus, much of it was stuff like THIS photo (used alone) from ‘The Blaze’, to show Occupy’s violence.

            I dug around for the source of the photo and found it was from something else BEFORE Occupy.;

    • ExPFCWintergreen October 11th, 2014 at 10:27 pm

Since they can’t stand around with their smaller-than-average-sized penises hanging out of their drawers, this is next best thing for them. Open Carry = public masturbation

      • josephKing October 11th, 2014 at 10:39 pm

You should be overjoyed by their small penises. What better to a liberal than an emasculated man, right? There are no difference in sexes, all people should act like women.

        • searambler October 11th, 2014 at 10:54 pm

Why do you hate women? Were you beaten up by girls as a child?

That would certainly explain a lot.

          • josephKing October 11th, 2014 at 10:55 pm

At least you didn’t call me a racist, just the fallback claim sexist. I give you props!

          • searambler October 11th, 2014 at 11:08 pm

Nice dodge. So you WERE beaten up by girls as a child. Which explains your misogyny today. I have no idea if you’re a racist or not. Although, based on your post, I’m guessing you’ve had to defend yourself from that particular accusation before. If the shoe fits……..

          • josephKing October 11th, 2014 at 11:10 pm

Mentioning sex doesn’t make one sexist, no matter how much you want it to.

“Mentioning” sex isn’t how it works. Maybe you’d find out if you weren’t so preoccupied with guns.

Spoken like someone who knows an awful lot about small penises. You poor thing. (Pssst, don’t look now, Rambo, but that AR-15 ain’t making it look any bigger, much as you might enjoy wiggling it while you admire yourself posing with your rifle in the mirror.)

        • cargosquid October 13th, 2014 at 1:51 am

Funny how gun control bigots are worried about our penises.

I admit that I’m compensating. Mine cannot project small bits of metal at 1500 fps and hit a target accurately at 25 yard. And I am truly tired of having to defend myself by waiting for any perp to come within 3 feet so that I can club him down with it.

And the poorest states (who take more federal dollars than they contribute) are all red states.

At least in the blue cities, one can point to the influx of people hoping to find jobs while “free market” (red) policies have facilitated the job loss in industrial cities.

What is the excuse for the poverty of the red states in general or for deep, deep red Owsley county Ky, which holds the national title for poorest county, with unemployment at 150% the national average?

Uh if you knew anything you’d know Chicago’s gun laws were ruled unconstitutional by our activist Surpreme’s, but you’d also find that the areas of Chicago where guns proliferate have the most gun violence, and even before the overturning of the gun laws anyone could go to rural Illinois or Indiana and get a gun bring it into Chicago. The top ten states for gun violence are all loose gun laws states.

crime in other cities of illinois is no where near the levels of chicago and morton grove. law abiding citizens can defend themselves in all other cities. January 2014..the State of Illinois started issueing permits to chicago residents to defend themselves. the Chicago sun times website reported that for the first time in years crime is going down. give me a state and i will prove you wrong with official stats. The U.S Virgin Islands has the highest per capita murder rate, and the strictest gun controls. criminals are not driving to indiana to buy a gun and then hurry back to where they are safe to commit crimes.

        • CherMoe October 13th, 2014 at 7:15 am

Most crimes are committed by the proverbial “good guy with a gun.” That critter just doesn’t exist any more. The majority of people with a gun will eventually use it, especially in a display of anger at a spouse, family member, a neighbor, etc. In the absence of guns, that scenario wouldn’t likely be taking place. Boys like guns because they’re impersonal and they can be detached from the reality of the bullet leaving the barrel and striking a person many yards away. A gun is manufactured for one reason only … to KILL. People who buy them do so for one reason only … to potentially KILL someone or something. That doesn’t promote peace and harmony in our country and doesn’t make OTHER people feel safe, especially with the low mentality of most people who have those guns.

over 100 million firearm owners. and you talk about a few bad guys, most crimes are in gun ban states or cities.

          • DesertFox-1A October 21st, 2014 at 8:45 pm

While I will agree with most of what you say here, not all firearms are bought for the purpose of killing. I collect old firearms, and of late the only thing I have ‘killed’ with any of them has been Tidy Cat litter jugs full of water or paper targets. There are many firearms collectors who collect these bits of history and enjoy firing them on ranges. But these weak little men and their phallic symbols are trying to start a fight over ‘gun’ rights or maybe want to get into a gun fight. If they had only seen what a rifle of those calibers only does to a human body. Not pretty.

and you someday might be the one screaming for somebody to help you. every shooting has been in a gun free zone, the poor unarmed people screaming and hoping the cops get there soon.

        • DesertFox-1A October 21st, 2014 at 8:38 pm

The reason that there are no armed victims is, they are usually dead victims, who have had their weapons stolen. And I agree what is the real purpose these insecure men have to carry long guns. I own several weapons, but I see no need to carry them, when I go to the corner store for a carton of milk.

there is no dead armed victims, if you bother to check the stats, criminals attack gun free zones. i.ve always said, keep your long guns handy. when the cops and military walk the streets with long guns then get yours. the horses all along the streets had a rifle on them. to steal one was rare. they didnt take there rifles into the stores, they left it on their horse or wagon.

          • DesertFox-1A October 21st, 2014 at 9:58 pm

Again you are not basing anything on historical context, you base it on novels and movies, not real life. True those who traveled did carry a weapon on them and maybe a long gun on the saddle. Especially during the Indian Wars, the riders would then carry a weapon and would use them if they needed to or had the chance to. The city folks did not go around and carry weapons everywhere they went, there was no need to, but, when the need arose they were able to get them, usually from the town marshal or the local hardware store. i.e. The Great James/Younger Northfield Raid. Just do not believe the romanticized west of the novels and movies, they do that to sell their product.
Large portions of the population were veterans of the Mexican war or the Great War of the Rebellion and did not deem it necessary to carry a weapon all the time. Traveling had its dangers depending on were you where, those dangers ranged from grizzlies and rattlers to Mexican bandits or Apaches or any of the other warring native peoples. When you got to town if you were stopping for a while you usually left you weapons in your hotel room, including your side arms, that is if you did not have to check them with the town marshal first. If a traveler was just stopping to purchase supplies or for a meal at a table that was not burned over a fire, they might leave their long guns on the saddle. No one would have thought to take a travelers weapon off of his or her horse, unlike today when an unattended weapon in a car or pickup truck would be stole in a blink of an eye, depending on where you are at.
But generally the locals, including the ranchers and farmers did not carry their weapons on themselves all the time, during round ups when they had to deal with some fairly woolly old range bulls they did carry a rifle on the saddle, but from all of the accounts that I have read and the stories that I heard from some of the old cowboys, a holstered pistol was more a danger to the rider than the bull was. You know history is a wonderful thing, if you take the time to learn it.

side arms was a way of life in most of the americas. canada to argentina. the west was never as violent as hollywood portrays. our nation was founded on the belief that every man take care of himself and family. theres always going to be a violent person, its your responsibilty to stop him. the cops show up later. North field Minnesota was not friendly to the james gang. nobody ran to get their guns, they already had them. the Dalton gang had the same fate. today criminals rule the streets in gun control city’s like chicago, ,LA, NYC, , city’s with the least restictions have the lowest crime rate.

That last thing my family needs is some commando wanna be thinking he’s going to protect me. If you’re too frightened to attend a parade without your strap-on penis, maybe a rifle isn’t what you really need.

      • freewill2 October 12th, 2014 at 9:36 am

well a side arm would be just fine. the rifles are a little out of place, but when the cops and military start carrying theirs, then we should worry and have ours too.

    • searambler October 12th, 2014 at 1:52 pm

Protect us from who? People like you? We don’t live in Somalia, sport. This is taking place at the Brazoria County Fair Parade in Angleton, Texas. Are you saying Texas is so unsafe that self-proclaimed armed guards need to be at a frickin’ county fair parade to protect the citizenry? And are you saying that the police who will be on duty at the parade are so bad at their job that they need supplemental help from these gun-totin’ yahoos? It’s anti-America people like you that do more harm to the country than anyone else.

Im not foolish enough to partake in such bullsh*t but thanks for the invite..

i dont go to parades or other events, to many armed cops.

    • CherMoe October 13th, 2014 at 7:10 am

I don’t think these gun nuts are there to protect the local citizenry. They’re part of a growing “cult” in this country that is trying to intimidate the country and “flex their muscles” just to prove they can. I trust them as much as I trust cops with a gun. And I’m white.

      • freewill2 October 14th, 2014 at 10:27 pm

these so called gun nuts dont get in your face and tell you they are there to protect you from yourself and then write you a ticket.

    • Jeffrey Samuels October 13th, 2014 at 9:44 am

some moron carrying an assault weapon to go to the grocery store is there to protect me? Sorry! It is far more likely that the individual has self esteem issues and that makes him potentially dangerous. If he was really carrying a gun for protection, he could carry a hidden firearm and not make himself the center of attention.

      • freewill2 October 14th, 2014 at 10:19 pm

i agree the long arm is a little extreme. but remember, our founding fathers always carried theirs.

What’s with the long barrel weapons for open carry? Generally speaking,
carrying a gun is about self-defense. A slung long barrel is probably
as useless in that scenario as a can of fix-a-flat is when 3 of his tires go flat..

    • Spirit of America October 12th, 2014 at 1:49 am

Now the above post, by me, aka: guest, was weird….

That is kind of the point of their “protests.” they want to carry a handgun openly. I mean, I dont get the hard on they get for Open carry, but whatever, thats on them. Its no skin off my back if they open carry a pistol.

      • Spirit of America October 13th, 2014 at 5:03 pm

” they want to carry a handgun openly”
I understand the handgun point of view. I was asking why the long barrels.

        • tmf_x October 13th, 2014 at 8:14 pm

Well I assume the open carry of long barrel is due to hunting. But the state, as odd as I find it, doesnt allow open carry of handguns. Id wager every one of these dudes would put down the rifles and open carry a handgun if they legally could.

Once again, I dont understand the draw of open carry, but it seems weird to me that they wouldnt allow handguns.

If these members of the small penis clubs, would just invest in a gym and lose some weight maybe they could get over their feelings of insecurity and low self-esteem,and deal with the fact that they were never allowed to sit with the cool kids in high school.

Their rights do trump yours. They have a right to bear arms, you dont have a right to not see a gun.

Well yeah, I know the point of it isn’t to stand out armed at a parade. But please, I would love to hear your interpretation of said amendment.

What if you see a guy with a gun? can you still call 911? How do you tell the good gunners from the bad gunners?

    • cargosquid October 14th, 2014 at 12:21 am

The bad guys don’t usually sling AR’s. Also they are shooting at people.

How do these guys think openly carrying weapons of any kind does anything other than bully others. if a large crowd of equally armed black guys stand across the road will they be ‘allowed’ the same rights?
