Mom Allegedly Forced Adopted Daughter To Eat Cat Litter, Tried To Sew Her Mouth Shut
A Pennsylvania woman has been arrested after disturbing allegations of child abuse toward her adopted teenage daughter.
Among other charges, 46-year-old Rana L. Cooper is accused of “forcing the child to eat used cat litter” and “attempting to gouge the girl’s eyes out,” according to News Channel 5..
Cooper is also accused of trying to sew the girl’s mouth shut.
[su_center_ad]”Cooper tried to sew the girl’s mouth shut with a needle and thread, but stopped the procedure after piercing the child’s lip, police said. She then threatened the girl with having her mouth sewn shut and tongue cut out several times after the incident,” AOL.com reports.
In addition, Cooper is accused of beating, starving, choking and suffocating her adopted daughter.
The girl, now 16, was also forced to eat used cat litter and made to scrape her finger around the rim of a toilet bowl and “eat what was on her finger,” the filing said.
Cooper forced the girl to eat half a tube of toothpaste at least four times, authorities said. She also sat on the young victim “numerous times” until the “child was not able to breathe.”
When Cooper’s husband told her he was leaving the family, she blamed the girl, grabbed her by the neck, twisted the neck, bit her nose until it bled, threw her to the ground and punched her in the face, according to what the child told police.
She was not allowed to eat meals until the family finished, and was given a meal just one time per day.
According to the police report, the woman would “shovel the food quickly into her mouth {and} make the child tell mother that she was eating one of her brothers.”
The girl claims to be unable to hear out of her left ear as well as she does from the right ear due to Cooper shoving Q-tips into her ear.
Cooper is accused of bashing the girl in the face with a belt buckle, holding her head underwater for as long as 10 seconds and spitting on her, the child told investigators.
In May, the girl was rescued from the home.
According to CBS Pittsburgh, the woman’s 24-year-old son Ronnie said the allegations aren’t true.
“Nothing, none of that happened,” he said. “Like, I’m here every day, like, none of these are true.”

None of it happened? She admits to holding the girl’s head under water – regardless of the other claims, she’s already guilty.

Should be easy enough to validate — look for the scars and other evidence of physical abuse.
Or will Ronnie-boy suggest that any injuries were self-inflicted … ?
