[su_right_ad]The father of 19 doesn’t believe in birth control, obviously.

Jim Bob told The Friddle Show last month at the Values Voters Summit …that Michelle did use the birth control pill early in their marriage, reports RawStory.com.

“Something we didn’t know is that the pill can allow women to get pregnant, but then it can be aborted, and it really, that’s what happened with Michelle,” said Jim Bob.

“She went on the pill after Josh and then got pregnant, and then the pill actually caused a miscarriage, and so that was really when we started examining this,” added Jim Bob. “We started looking at the fine print of the contraception, and it said this could happen, and then we talked to a Christian doctor, and he explained this to us.”

Medical experts, like those at the Mayo Clinic, disagree.

In the past, doctors had concerns that if you conceived immediately after stopping the pill, you had a higher risk of miscarriage. However, these concerns have proved to be largely unfounded. The hormones in birth control pills don’t linger in your system …

If you continued taking your birth control pill because you didn’t realize you were pregnant, don’t be alarmed. Despite years of this accident happening, there’s very little evidence that exposure to the hormones in birth control pills causes birth defects. [su_csky_ad]

“…and then we talked to a Christian doctor”, Oh, never mind.

    • StoneyCurtisll October 13th, 2014 at 6:37 pm

      I noticed that to….’a christian doctor’….
Not one of those Indian or colored doctors…:)

      • R.J. Carter October 13th, 2014 at 9:05 pm

How did Christian become a race?

        • Kingminnie October 14th, 2014 at 12:05 am

When baggers started making it one.

          • R.J. Carter October 14th, 2014 at 9:09 am

So all those black Christians are now… what?

    • whatthe46 October 13th, 2014 at 6:50 pm

      i had the same thought.

  2. StoneyCurtisll October 13th, 2014 at 6:26 pm

    Rule number 1..
Never trust anything a guy named Jim Bob says…
Especially if it has to do with contraception..(he has 19 fuggin kids) and could not support them without a “reality show” paying him nearly 100K+ per season.

    • Dwendt44 October 13th, 2014 at 7:00 pm

He paid no income taxes before the show.

      • R.J. Carter October 13th, 2014 at 9:05 pm

        Because…?

        • Dwendt44 October 13th, 2014 at 11:44 pm

Nineteen deductions beside himself and the Mrs. Plus a cleaver accountant and many expenses he can claim.

          • R.J. Carter October 14th, 2014 at 9:10 am

So? Don’t you take all the deductions allowed to you when you file?

  3. Tommy6860 October 13th, 2014 at 6:31 pm

This is the mindset of a person who ascribes to Pat Robertson bible science.

  4. Carla Akins October 13th, 2014 at 6:35 pm

Just as soon as JimBob shows me his doctorate, along with his peer-reviewed and endorsed study on how birth control causes an abortion I’ll consider his opinion worth at least listening to.

    • whatthe46 October 13th, 2014 at 6:48 pm

who is he going to blame for women who have miscariages that have absolutely nothing to do with birth control?

      • tiredoftea October 13th, 2014 at 6:51 pm

        Dems

        • whatthe46 October 13th, 2014 at 7:23 pm

you are carla are both right.

      • Carla Akins October 13th, 2014 at 6:54 pm

He’ll take his cue from Pat Robertson and blame the woman. Clearly she’s a sinner, didn’t live a godly life, tithe every week and wasn’t a good enough Christain. She should have prayed harder.

        • whatthe46 October 13th, 2014 at 7:22 pm

          i had to ask. lol

        • whatthe46 October 13th, 2014 at 7:36 pm

well i wonder if he’ll blame the father of the child for causing a miscarriage, it happens.

          • Carla Akins October 13th, 2014 at 9:10 pm

No way, Pat has told us repeatedly it’s always the woman’s fault. Just like when a man cheats on his wife – she should have worked harder to make her marriage work and not let herself go – not nag him to do stuff around the house, blah, blah…

          • whatthe46 October 14th, 2014 at 12:38 am

            duh. dumb me.

    • Tommy6860 October 13th, 2014 at 6:53 pm

Well, he obviously supports TOPers, so when his explanation fails, blame the women for it by passing laws criminalizing miscarriages O.o.

  5. forpeace October 13th, 2014 at 7:02 pm

Since when the TV fake star has become a medical expert?

When and from which university has he earned his medical degree from?

You Jim Bob Duggar, just keep producing more kids ………. so far, 19 and counting!

Just sit at the corner and be quiet.

    • Dwendt44 October 13th, 2014 at 7:04 pm

I recall hearing that the Mrs. had problems that last time she squirted out a baby. Maybe the second generation will take up the challenge of over populating the area with religious nuts.

      • forpeace October 13th, 2014 at 7:10 pm

I do not trust anything this cult family has to say.

Wasn’t it last week that Anna Duggar claimed she can hear voices in her head? she said:

“In America, we say it is all about the bride and it is her day, but I remember God speaking to me in my heart and saying, ‘It’s not your day. It’s my day, this is the day the Lord has made.”

        • whatthe46 October 13th, 2014 at 7:20 pm

          that’s creepy.

          • forpeace October 13th, 2014 at 7:26 pm

It is indeed very creepy, the entire family are brainwashed, the sad part is there are so many out there to believe everything this family has to say, and they blindly support them.

          • StoneyCurtisll October 13th, 2014 at 7:28 pm

            having 19 kids is creepy~!

          • forpeace October 13th, 2014 at 7:30 pm

            “and counting” is even creepier!

  6. Dwendt44 October 13th, 2014 at 7:03 pm

The Duggar’s are starting their own cult. There are other forms of birth control beside the ‘pill’. Sounds like a poor excuse. Dollar to a doughnut, his darling daughters and daughters-in-law will refuse to use birth control as well.

  7. forpeace October 13th, 2014 at 7:06 pm

I’m not a scientist, but global warming and climate change do NOT exist.

I’m not a medical expert, but pill can cause miscarriage.

Is Jim Bob Duggar the Hobby Lobby’s spokesperson?

    • StoneyCurtisll October 13th, 2014 at 7:26 pm

If I was as irresponsible as Jim Bob Dugger..
I could have had 19 kids myself..
I had my 2 boys, who I am as proud as any parent could be..
And I didn’t need a “reality show” to help pay for them…:)

      • forpeace October 13th, 2014 at 7:29 pm

Good for you, SC, I’m sure your 2 boys are so proud of you.

And I, applaud you and other parents who are working so hard in real life to raise their kids without living their lives on these fake TV shows just to make money and become famous.

        • StoneyCurtisll October 13th, 2014 at 7:39 pm

          It wasn’t easy and it wasn’t cheap…
But my boys are worth every penny of it.
Youngest one just turned 18 last month..
He is going to college on a scholarship, 4 years paid for by Black & Veatch.
All he has to do is a two year unpaid internship and they pay for his four year engineering degree and they guarantee him a job with the firm after graduation.

          • forpeace October 13th, 2014 at 7:43 pm

I’m sure it was neither easy nor cheap, no doubt about it.

Oh WOW, your youngest is going to college on a scholarship?

Congratulations, and job well done, Bravo, SC.

Yes, majors such as engineering are in demand in the market, engineering is one of those majors that will never die and will live for ever, and if he can get his Masters in environmental engineering is even better.

          • StoneyCurtisll October 13th, 2014 at 7:44 pm

            Thank you..:)

          • forpeace October 13th, 2014 at 7:47 pm

My pleasure, and you’re most welcome. 😉

I am not a parent, but I always admire those who are trying so hard to make it possible for their kids to have a better future. After all children are the future of this country and the rest of the world.

            Proud papa!

      • R.J. Carter October 13th, 2014 at 9:00 pm

You realize he had the kids before the show came along?
        Other questions:
        1. Why irresponsible?
        2. What’s wrong with using any means necessary — reality show included — to support your family?

        • Dwendt44 October 13th, 2014 at 11:41 pm

The show is more about his arrogance and self importance than the money. He’s doing OK financial wise.

  8. forpeace October 13th, 2014 at 7:36 pm

I’m sure Tea Party would love to have Doctor Jim Bob Duggar as their next candidate for the U.S. Congress.

  9. forpeace October 13th, 2014 at 7:39 pm

Yesterday, John McCain said U.S. needs an Ebola “Czar.”

I believe Doctor Jim Bob Duggar makes a perfect Ebola “Czar.”

    • rg9rts October 14th, 2014 at 6:58 am

I thought that McCain wanted to invade Ebola

      • forpeace October 14th, 2014 at 5:58 pm

McCain thinks Ebola is a country in Africa, and you know how much he loves to invade and bomb other countries.

  10. burqa October 13th, 2014 at 9:06 pm

    Hmmm.
Seems to me that I’ve heard Dr. Drew Pinsky say that if a woman hasn’t been taking her birth control pills and has sex can take 4 of them the next day as a sort of morning-after pill.
I don’t know who this Duggar guy is, but no one should take medical advice from someone who does not have “M.D.” after their name.
Always always always go to the pros….

    • Dwendt44 October 13th, 2014 at 11:39 pm

And even then, in some situations, a second opinion is not only warranted but wise.

  11. CHOCOL8MILK October 13th, 2014 at 9:28 pm

Why didn’t he just get a vasectomy? A vasectomy can be reversed, and it is more effective than using only the pill. Using a condom would have helped. I guess his decisions were motivated by considering what’s best for the schnitzel, so he opted not to use a condom.

19 Kids with the same woman!?!? My goodness…one would think that her cervix would have called it quits after the 10th child!

  12. fahvel October 14th, 2014 at 3:45 am

can’t argue with a christian doctor – my goodness, 19 offspring and she can still walk? Evil evil man and really “I don’t what” woman.

I used to work along side a guy that was one of 14 children. His father used to ration toilet paper, you ate was was given you and no second helpings.
they were considered a ‘good Catholic’ family.
He decided that was no way to live and had only two kids himself.
