Police: Florida Cop Kept Woman Out Of Jail In Exchange For Oral Sex
A Florida deputy was arrested on Monday after he used his position to accept sexual favors from a woman in exchange for keeping her out of jail, Broward County detectives said.
“Its discouraging and demoralizing to the men and women that work so hard for BSO,” Sheriff Scott Israel said.
[su_center_ad]Deputy Ted Arboleda was arrested on a charge of unlawful compensation, or reward for official behavior, which is a second-degree felony. He has been on administrative duty since Aug. 19th, but he is now suspended without pay, according to Local 10.com.
Detectives said Arboleda made contact with the woman at a Dania Beach gas station in July of last year.
The woman didn’t have a valid driver’s license and allegedly had marijuana and an unlabeled bottle of prescription medication in her possession. She allegedly told Arboleda that she was on felony probation and offered him money not to be arrested.
Although Arboleda didn’t take the money, he gave her back the drugs and then told her to leave her car at the gas station while he gave her a ride back home.
When home, Arboleda engaged in oral sex with the woman inside the residence, according to detectives.
The deputy left without arresting her.
The woman’s boyfriend went to the police to alert them of the incident.
“We’re not going to tolerate this kind of behavior,” the sheriff said.
Internal affairs is investigating.
