The host of the conservative radio show ‘Common Cents’ which is featured on a Christian talk channel has been charged with a sex crime against a 3-year-old boy, according to arrest warrants.

[su_center_ad]Joshua Brett Kimbrell, 29, of Christian Talk 660AM/92.9FM, is charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor under 11, according to WYFF.

According to the arrest warrant, Kimbrell, under the guise of a game, fondled and sexually assaulted the three-year-old victim.

Greenville police said that Kimbrell was arrested Tuesday and is being held without bond.

Kimbrell is also chair of the Palmetto Conservative Alliance.

Recently, Kimbrell hosted Reps. Trey Gowdy and Mick Mulvaney at an outdoor barbecue event on Sept. 25 titled Restoring the Rule of Law.

On his site it states, “South Carolina’s fresh voice for freedom” tagged in the header. Kimbrell penned a recent article opposing same-sex marriage.  In part, he wrote, “South Carolina blazed the trail in the defense of marriage, and now we are under attack for standing for our convictions.”

It seems as if there is some sort of correlation between a right wing hate spewing slob and a pedophile.

    • tracey marie October 15th, 2014 at 7:46 pm

They point, project and divert attention from their own sick actions. Time to just shoot all pedophiles, period.

      • Suzanne McFly October 15th, 2014 at 8:19 pm

That is a criminal that has no hope for redemption in my mind.

  2. tracey marie October 15th, 2014 at 7:45 pm

I am so sick to death of all these phony xtian pedophiles. Gowdy, shame on you paling around with pedophiles makes you a suspect as well.

    • M D Reese October 15th, 2014 at 7:49 pm

I do hope that someone asks Trey Howdy about his association with this guy. I mean really–a 3 year old?

      • tracey marie October 15th, 2014 at 8:11 pm

        Let’s not hold our breath

  3. M D Reese October 15th, 2014 at 7:47 pm

    Of COURSE he’s anti-gay…

  4. StoneyCurtisll October 15th, 2014 at 8:01 pm

Why does this not shock me?

    • AAASuperPatriot October 15th, 2014 at 10:05 pm

Perhaps it the fact that this story has been told 100 times before.

  5. tiredoftea October 15th, 2014 at 8:08 pm

Which comes first, the pedophile or the extreme fringe right christian?

    • tracey marie October 15th, 2014 at 8:10 pm

I do believe it is a tie

    • Chinese Democracy October 15th, 2014 at 9:08 pm

its the old chicken or the egg conundrum ..

interesting that a new study concluded the more conservative a person is .. the more porn they watch. Seems again like the self loathing nut balls in America created a political party.

      • tiredoftea October 15th, 2014 at 9:22 pm

Seems strange that they didn’t create their own porn channel. How much better off we all would be, if they had.

        • AAASuperPatriot October 15th, 2014 at 10:01 pm

Don’t be so sure. I would not be shocked if it was revealed that these televangelists were invested in porn, as well.

  6. StoneyCurtisll October 15th, 2014 at 8:10 pm

    How disturbing….
The “christian conservative” part is bad enough..
He has to add child molestation on top?

  7. forpeace October 15th, 2014 at 8:26 pm

    3-year-old boy?

How disgusting and disturbing, really shameful!

This part of article caught my eyes: Recently, Kimbrell hosted Reps. Trey Gowdy and Mick Mulvaney at an outdoor barbecue event on September 25 titled “Restoring the Rule of Law.”

I’m a devout Christian and I wouldn’t mind if all Christian radio and TV shut down tomorrow. Honestly, who needs it?

    • Chinese Democracy October 15th, 2014 at 9:06 pm

it would be nice if it disappeared due to lack of interest

      • AAASuperPatriot October 15th, 2014 at 9:56 pm

As a big supporter of the First Amendment, I’m not for forcing Christians off the airwaves.

But, as a Christian, I wish that my fellow Christians would just practice their faith and shut up.

        • whatthe46 October 15th, 2014 at 10:31 pm

and, and, and practice what they preach.

    • Anomaly 100 October 15th, 2014 at 9:12 pm

I’m a Christian and I agree with you. A lot of the hosts/pastors are just profiteers.

      • AAASuperPatriot October 15th, 2014 at 10:04 pm

American Southern Christianity has a long and deep tradition of grifters.

    • Dwendt44 October 16th, 2014 at 12:52 am

Gullible older folks seem to need the outlet for their meager Social Security checks.
They are scared about the changes all around them and the smooth talking preachers stir that fear into a lucrative income.

  9. Tommy6860 October 15th, 2014 at 9:24 pm

Kimbrell is also chair of the Palmetto Conservative Alliance.

Probably an offshoot of the Faith and Freedom Coalition run by Ralph Reed. I bet Reed must be beaming with pride about now. I hope this guy gets serious help and is banished from being around children for life.

    • AAASuperPatriot October 15th, 2014 at 9:59 pm

It’s appalling how disinterested conservative Christians are in the crimes of Ralph Reed.

    • markdouglas October 16th, 2014 at 1:27 am

The more holy someone acts, seems like the more duplicitous they can be. Still, lets see what the facts are, but the article seems to suggest they have strong evidence.

  10. KB723 October 15th, 2014 at 9:29 pm

Without Bond!!! This guy’s gonna need a very expensive Lawyer, at least he’s of the air and the streets…. =)

  11. AAASuperPatriot October 15th, 2014 at 10:02 pm

Here is a rule of thumb:

truly spiritual people are chill about it.

  12. searambler October 15th, 2014 at 10:15 pm

Remember, innocent until proven guilty. We have scant info here. Comments from the linked site indicate the accuser is his ex, and they’re involved in a nasty custody fight. I know it’s hard, but let’s try not to jump to conclusions. IF he is found guilty, then I hope he rots in prison for a long, long time. But let’s have a trial first, eh?

    • whatthe46 October 15th, 2014 at 10:30 pm

there’s got to be some truly hard evidence, rather conviencing evidence for the judge to grant no bail. even people charged with murder get bail.

      • michael October 16th, 2014 at 8:29 am

Actually, there only has to be her word against him. My ex tried the same crap. I got no bail until it went to court and the judge, my daughter and her guardian ad litum spoke in the judges office. I was released, all charges dropped, removed from my record and nothing was ever done to my ex for filing false reports. I still have no idea what my child said to the judge.
Women will do and say anything to win an argument.

        • searambler October 16th, 2014 at 9:11 am

PEOPLE will do and say anything to win an argument. Men do it too. But you made my point.

I forgot that, in the court of public opinion, anyone accused of a crime is automatically tried and convicted. The more heinous the accusation, the harsher the ‘verdict’, and the louder the cries for ‘off with his head!’ This guy will get his day in court. Until then, I’m done speculating, based on virtually no information at all, on his guilt or innocence.

        • tracey marie October 16th, 2014 at 2:16 pm

nothing like being a misogynist with a phoney story to make you feel important.

          • michael October 17th, 2014 at 9:06 am

Tracey, I don’t lie and don’t care if you think I am attempting to feel important. I don’t need or or want anyone’s approval. The people I need to impress are my children which I have with me.
This story that I posted is true and is designed and posted to show people that believing and prejudging based on innuendo and speculation based solely on one persons statement is the worst thing one can do. I am never condoning what was done if the story turns out true he needs to be hung by his middle appendage.

          • tracey marie October 17th, 2014 at 12:42 pm

lol,if you do not care why did you respond?

    • tracey marie October 15th, 2014 at 11:34 pm

guess how old his child is and why his wife filed for divorce?

      • searambler October 16th, 2014 at 9:14 am

No. I won’t guess. What’s the point? We don’t try and convict people based on guesses. Unless it’s in the court of public opinion. Then, it’s ‘tried and convicted’ based on accusations and guesses.

No thanks. Don’t wanna play that game.

  15. indoboy7 October 16th, 2014 at 12:38 am

If it can be proved that he did molest a 3 yr old, throw the book at him for the longest possible jail sentence,BUT……BEFORE throwing him in the slammer, CASTRATE this piece of human excrement and THEN have him share a cell with a 285 lbs BUBBA, who’s sure to make him his “girlfriend” for the duration.

    • PeachyBreyer November 24th, 2014 at 12:23 am

His ex wife made the accusation, so don’t hold your breath till it goes to trial.
