More White Mob Violence: New Hampshire Pumpkin Festival, Students Riot, Start Fires, Throw Bottles
Keene State College students and visitors to an annual pumpkin festival in New Hampshire became unruly on Saturday, leading to injuries and arrests. Notice how their actions are referred to as “unruly”and not “rioting” in some media outlets. Fires were set, bottles were thrown and property was damaged at multiple locations because, pumpkins.

“I got hit with a Jack Daniel’s bottle, like across the face,” Keene State student Roger Creekmore told WMUR.
Police were dressed in riot gear. None of the protesters rioters were beaten or shot by police officers.
Keene State College President Anne Huot said the students bore some of the responsibility for the unruly behavior, but also suggested that some outside the community had billed the event “as a destination for destructive and raucous behavior.”
What was deemed as “disruptive behavior” at parties in multiple locations occurred around the city, with injuries and property damage reported.
According to Keene State student Ellery Murray, she was at a party that had drawn a large crowd when people started throwing things. She said police responded in riot gear and used tear gas to break up the crowd.
“People were just throwing everything they could find — rocks, skateboards, buckets, pumpkins,” she said. “People just got too drunk.”
At a party involving hundreds of people, several people were injured from bottles which were hurled.
New Hampshire Gov. Maggie Hassan said state and local safety officials worked to defuse what she called “the situation.” Tear gas was used in at least one location.
Yes, “the situation.” That’s what Republicans called Ferguson protesters. No. Wait. The protesters in Ferguson were “rioters” and “looters.”
“We deplore the actions of those whose only purpose was to cause mayhem,” Hout said, adding that the students involved will be held accountable.
But at least these students were out fighting the good fight for the noble cause of insuring that Pumpkins are….meh, I got nothin’. When will these uppity white people stop the white on white violence? [su_csky_ad]

The media failed to separate the protesters in Ferguson from those who were just on the scene to riot and cause mayhem. The actual protesters should have been praised and applauded for taking a stand, instead of being lumped in with the few who were causing all of the carnage.
The same appears to be taking place here, with a people not from college and from outside areas coming in and starting the destruction at the “pumpkin fest”. The media is giving that minority faction a pass and lumping them in with those who were legitimately attending. So yes, the media bias is in full effect here.
But don’t forget to compare what happened at each riot. Nobody shot at police, looted stores or burned down stores in Keene.
Also, you already see articles about the kids cleaning up afterwords, but you didn’t see those about Ferguson, even though that also took place.

How is this one night event like ferguson? These kids were DRUNK (like nearly all white “riots”) and acting stupidly and nobody likes or condones it. The ferguson rioters were destroying their own town for weeks for no good reason (unless a white man defending his life is now wrong).

Blacks don’t need excuses, it would be racis’ of us to expect that from them. Unarmed but very dangerous and maybe if the cops were left to do their job, instead of having to “control” the crowd, they would have removed the corpse sooner.

I am a 62 year old working, taxpaying, home owning, voting African American liberal. I have seen a lot of ignorance in this country during my lifetime and was glad to see that ignorance slowly but surely disappearing from mainstream society.
Never thought I would see right wingers trying to restore that ignorance and once again make it acceptable. This is not 1950 anymore, no matter how much you right wingers wish it was.
