[su_center_ad]Officers responded to the home around 11:30 last night to find the teenager wounded.

According to KIIITV, Investigators say his 24-year old brother was removing the gun from its holster when it accidentally discharged, striking his little brother in the chest one time.

The victim was taken to a local hospital but later died.

The mother was at the home at the time of the shooting, but was not hurt, according to KRIST-TV.

Police are still investigating, but at this time, no arrests have been made. Authorities said the shooting appears to be accidental.

Sure would be a shame if he loses his gun rights over a mistake any card carrying nra member could make….I’m sure he’ll be more careful in the future.

So freaking sad they can’t keep from killing each other over their fetish.

ok, so carrying your gun on you in the home is protection from what? OC is to let the bad guys aware that you are packing right? if this extends to your home, while watching t.v., then texas, you have a problem. one wonders if he and his family were a part of the OC rally held. hope he now understands how senseless it all is.

I understand where you’re coming from, charges are rarely filed in cases like this and until they are they will continue there HAS TO BE REPERCUSSIONS FOR BEING THIS CARELESS

pretty soon you’ll hear of a lot more if no one is being held responsible. all one has to do is claim it was an accident. when the person you’ve just killed is someone you have a problem with.

          Like that isn’t already happening?

Why on earth would he need to keep his gun close while watching the Walking Dead? Is he that clueless – never mind.

    • Tammy Minton Haley October 20th, 2014 at 2:01 pm

“…brother was removing the gun from its holster when it accidentally discharged.” The key question is why does he keep a loaded gun in his holster? Is he Wyatt Earp?

In his final years, it was said that Elvis Presley would just as soon shoot the TV as change the channel.

Gun Condoms, as its also a form of birth control pre and post.

      • M D Reese October 20th, 2014 at 2:33 pm

What a concept! It would keep the water out, but still allow a bullet to be fired!

Are these guns possessed? Them seem to just go off with no one pulling a trigger, either these gun nuts pissed off a lot of ghosts or their guns have magical triggers.

Another “responsible gun owner” with a concealed carry permit who is such a frightened and insecure person he needs to hold a gun while watching TV. The excuse will be…he is just one person

Only 11 days left in the NRA shooter of the month contest

  9. tiredoftea October 20th, 2014 at 3:34 pm

Another “Walking Dead” real life brainless zombie! The only cure for gun ignorance is education, not the NRA’s brain eating fear mongering.

It probably varies from state to state as to whether an accident with no malicious intent, which kills or injures someone, is a crime subject to prosecution.

For example, if someone is driving down a country road, obeying the speed limit when they sneeze, momentarily jerk the wheel, run into and kill the bicyclist next to them on their right, is that a crime or just an accident?

Regardless of how the above scenario would be interpreted in each of the 50 states, the bottom line is that the more guns in society, the more likely accidental injury or death from guns will occur. That is one sad reality that all the NRA propaganda in the world will not change.

Gun in hand, a round in the chamber, safety off. Accident?

Perhaps its time to try a Republican trick along the lines of classifying ketchup as a vegetable and reclassify certain firearms as Class 1 narcotics. People could still have access to their AR’s and AK’s with a doctor’s prescribed dose, as needed!
