At least two students were injured Friday morning when a shooter opened fire at Marysville Pilchuck High School, Washington police and witnesses said. There may be as many as four victims, according KIRO.

[su_center_ad]Squadrons of police cars swarmed to the school after receiving reports of an active shooter opening fire, according to KOMO News.

At least two students were shot, and were then transported via airlift to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The condition of the victims is not known at this time.

Witnesses said the shooting took place in the school cafeteria. The shooter is believed to be still at large.

“There were a bunch of kids on the next block that apparently fled the school. They were all huddled together talking to cars that drove by,” one witness told KIRO.

At least 20 police cars and multiple ambulances are responding to the incident, according to reports.

The school is being evacuated.

The Marysville School District released the following statement:

“The Marysville Pilchuck High School is currently in lock down due to an emergency situation. Police and emergency services have responded. The Marysville School District lock down procedures will remain in effect at Marysville Pilchuck until further notice from law enforcement. We will continue to forward communication in cooperation with law enforcement.”

We’ll update as more news comes in.

A nurse confirmed there are three people with gun shot wounds.

Authorities are going room to room to search for the shooter. Some students are still locked in classrooms.

A gunman is reportedly dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to two law-enforcement sources. Authorities are searching in case there are other shooters.

The shooter was reportedly a student at the school.

Again there won’t be any repercussions from this upon the adults who gave this child access to a weapon, and now a school board wants to sanction it.

so true. I get more angry and sad with each school shooting and at the adults who come up with excuses why guns and teens are not dangerous when put together

in a very sad way look at the picture of the kids running with their hands held high, learning all about their 2nd amendment rights.

hoping the kid who shot himself doesn`t turn out to be another very troubled child with very easy access to weapons and parents that are asleep at the switch.

Indeed. This incident happened in Sacramento, about 60 miles from me. Then just a few minutes ago, there was a report of another shooting in Auburn, about 30 miles away from Sacramento in “Gold Country” where the gold rush of 1849 started.

No word yet on any fatalities. What we do have though is confirmation that a criminal who is hell-bent on committing mayhem is not going to be dissuaded by a good guy with a gun. As I mentioned above, this is all happening in my back yard, and I am 100% certain that Sacramento and El Dorado county sheriffs are armed.

Three deputies and one civilian shot, allegedly by same gunman, in Sacramento and Auburn. Police conducting manhunt.
