A man at a Dallas airport who appears to be intoxicated (he’s drunk) attacked a passenger who he assumed is gay. After the man hurled a few gay slurs, he attacked the man, then bystanders intervened, tackling him on the spot.

The man was held down until police arrived to handcuff him.

In the video, the angry man is seen threatening another passenger who is wearing a jacket and a pink shirt, according to Raw Story.

A tall man in a black cowboy hat quickly approaches the angry little feller and asks him why he’s upset.

“Queers!” the man who hates on pink shirts says. “That’s what I’m upset about. This faggot right here.”

Things escalate when Mr. Attitude suddenly kicks the man in the pink shirt, then starts slapping at him and grabbing his hair, because pink shirts.

Bystanders rush to intervene and tackle Mr. Man while the man in the black hat (hero) can be heard saying,  “No way! No way, you motherfucker. You ain’t doin’ that fucking shit, motherfucker.”

This actually happened in Texas.

Warning: This video will restore your faith in humanity. At least for today.

          • Obewon October 24th, 2014 at 8:43 pm

Roctuna and Um Cara are secret Texans too!

          • tracey marie October 24th, 2014 at 8:49 pm

secret Texans? I have lived here for a long time, but my heart is in Miami. I stay because of the Opera, symphony and football. We are long time ticket holders of all three

          • Obewon October 24th, 2014 at 9:03 pm

And with sea level rise you may only lose Galveston again, instead of an entire state!

          • Roctuna October 24th, 2014 at 9:02 pm

It’s no secret. It did my librul yankee heart good to see that reaction in Dallas. I have to admit though, that I was surprised. Houston is a bit more LGBT-friendly.

          • Obewon October 24th, 2014 at 9:09 pm

Maybe one of every six family members who are LGBT are finally coming out to their families:) ‘Unca Billy-Bob and Phil Robertson bought a house today. Their wedding bells maybe ringing by Sunday!’

  4. StoneyCurtisll October 24th, 2014 at 8:24 pm

    Bravo passengers…

  5. whatthe46 October 24th, 2014 at 8:34 pm

his ass should be blacklisted from the airlines and if he wants to travel and not drive, take the greyhound… IN TEXAS.

  6. Roctuna October 24th, 2014 at 8:37 pm

Waaaay too much ass-crack, but that’s how he’ll be remembered. What a sorry pos. I’m sure he thought he’d be supported by the bystanders. Bravo for the tacklers!

    • M D Reese October 25th, 2014 at 2:33 am

That parting shot of his ass crack was actually kinda fun–I hope that everyone he knows sees this video.

  7. Obewon October 24th, 2014 at 8:40 pm

Don’t mess with Texas’ LGBT. Texas is turning blue! Now they’l keelhaul bigots until the PD locks’em up and throws away the key for special circumstance hate crimes.

  8. Robert Merrill Taylor October 24th, 2014 at 10:49 pm

Note that the TSA agents are useless. Note as well that, when they arrive, how quick, efficient, and professional the cops are. They are able to immobilize, cuff, and arrest the assailent without injuring him.

    • Jeanette406 October 25th, 2014 at 2:00 am

Apparently they’re only good for stealing things out of our luggage and molesting people, lol.

    • William October 25th, 2014 at 9:15 am

      Those were not TSA agents

  9. rat618 October 24th, 2014 at 11:05 pm

Unlike in Western movies sometimes the good guy does wear the black hat. Well done sir from another Texan.

  10. Tommy6860 October 24th, 2014 at 11:49 pm

The state of Texas just gained a bit more blue blood 🙂 . Good on all of those who stood up to this bigot!

    • M D Reese October 25th, 2014 at 2:31 am

I liked the way it was instantaneous–as soon as the drunk kicked the man in the pink shirt (who may or may not be gay…), they were on him. I also liked that one of the good guys was wearing a bright magenta-ish shirt.

  11. StoneyCurtisll October 25th, 2014 at 1:16 am

What I want to know is why the TSA agents,(black Kevlar vest with blue sleeves) allowed this to escalate into the confrontation that ensued..
they should have stepped in sooner and taken the drunken a-hole out of the situation to begin with.

    • whatthe46 October 25th, 2014 at 1:37 am

but but but, then we wouldn’t have a video of him being taken down.

      • StoneyCurtisll October 25th, 2014 at 2:02 am

        And nothing to go viral..:)

    • M D Reese October 25th, 2014 at 2:28 am

Naw–they’re just there to be sure you don’t get on a plane with a tube of toothpaste or an emery board…

    • William October 25th, 2014 at 8:58 am

Because they are generally assigned to the boarding area and not the ticket counter.

      • StoneyCurtisll October 25th, 2014 at 4:01 pm

        I appreciate the heads up..
        Thanks~!

    • OrCoastTheo October 25th, 2014 at 1:47 pm

Because the TSA agents have a specific job. This could have been a diversion to allow someone to slip past security in the confusion. They need to stay at their posts to prevent something like that.

  12. Jeanette406 October 25th, 2014 at 1:58 am

    We need more of this.

  13. Larry Schmitt October 25th, 2014 at 2:17 am

One of the good guys has on an even pinker (magenta) shirt than the victim, so maybe he’s gayer.

    • meinmd October 25th, 2014 at 6:48 pm

And, he was in a wheel chair. LOL!!!

      • Niehoff October 26th, 2014 at 9:21 pm

I think he was only in the wheelchair after the takedown. The were calling medics for him as he may have broken his ankle or foot.

  14. M D Reese October 25th, 2014 at 2:26 am

My favorite part was that the racist, homophobic and probably sexist asshat was arrested by two black cops who showed amazing restraint. I wish that he had resisted more.

  15. rg9rts October 25th, 2014 at 2:47 am

Oklahoma tourists….real Texans would have joined in, ask Perry

    • Suzy October 26th, 2014 at 2:25 am

I am a Texan who now lives in Oklahoma, and TRUST me, people from both states would have stood up to this.

      • rg9rts October 26th, 2014 at 4:44 am

I would work on getting better press for them because the reputation of Texans and Okies too is they are the laughing stock of the nation…Perry, Gohmert..and the other intellectual icons of Texas don’t help your cause much either and I won’t mention the debacle in Dallas

  16. factswonthurtyou2 October 25th, 2014 at 7:33 am

Well it’s not like the guy was wearing ‘white’ after Labor Day so I don’t understand the anger……..

  17. Thomas M. Kent October 25th, 2014 at 9:22 am

I guess he never heard of: “Tough enough to wear pink” in support of breast cancer survivors. I have a pink shirt I wear in support of my Cousin Judy, a breast cancer survivor.

I want to watch a video of his trial.

    • Ayn Awnemus October 25th, 2014 at 4:09 pm

Doubt there will be one, it’s pretty straight forward what happened. Lets just hope his plea bargain includes a whole lot of jail time.

      • StrangerWithCandy October 26th, 2014 at 2:50 pm

I want him to reject the plea and go to trial. I want to hear his “defense” just to see what it could possibly be.

  20. Barakah1 October 25th, 2014 at 11:58 am

It restores my faith in Texas a little, actually.

  21. Yenta October 25th, 2014 at 12:57 pm

You know, I usually hate seeing cops use excessive force…but…just this once??? A taser might have shut his disgusting mouth, temporarily. The jerk even made a nasty comment to the Black cop on the right while he was being cuffed!

  22. jkarov October 25th, 2014 at 1:04 pm

I’m going out on a limb here, and betting that the idiot who kicked the other guy is an evangelical Christian, votes Teaparty only, and listens to Rush/Hannity every day.

This is the reality of intolerance, violence, and hatred fostered by the fringe right.

    • Candide Thirtythree October 27th, 2014 at 5:36 am

Well he did hit almost all of their talking points including telling that black officer that this was America and that was why he was allowed to walk around breathing while black.

  23. R.J. Carter October 25th, 2014 at 1:06 pm

    Hey, Mr. Angry-at-Pink-Shirts Guy.

    It’s October.

  24. Ayn Awnemus October 25th, 2014 at 4:06 pm

That assault was SO brazen and unprovoked I’m hoping he is charged with multiple felonies including a hate crime and is put away for many, many years.

  25. rg9rts October 27th, 2014 at 7:55 am

Because this is America…what a brilliant statement

  26. An American in Canada October 28th, 2014 at 10:21 am

Hope that guy doesn’t need to travel by air again…ever..

  27. Charlie McDonald November 12th, 2014 at 8:16 am

Dear gay men who take pics of guys you think are hot without their permission:

Please stop doing that. It generates a lot of hate towards our community. It’s creepy, gross and stalker-esque.

Just ask for their consent. “May I please take your picture?”

The worst that can happen when you ask for consent is that they say no. But at least you offered them your respect up front and you give them the opportunity to give respect back.

And if you aren’t brave enough to ask, just don’t take the picture. Taking pictures of people without their permission and consent is disrespectful in any situation.

If we want respect as a community we have to give respect as a community.

This rant does not justify the attacker’s violent reaction in this video. However, a human being doesn’t attack you unless they feel violated.

Don’t violate another person’s right to privacy and you won’t get attacked.

You would expect the same. You wouldn’t want your privacy violated either, would you?

    Think about it.
