[su_right_ad]I guess this means Starbucks made a good decision. Now, if only their coffee weren’t so bitter.

A man in Houston, Texas is accused of picking up a Chihuahua and throwing her at the outside glass window of a Starbucks in response to the fact that he had been banned from the store three months prior. Witnesses say the man was intoxicated.

Larry McHale, 46, was seen outside of the coffee shop in Houston yelling and smashing a bottle before picking up the four-pound dog and hurling her at the window. Police say they are unsure if the dog belonged to McHale or if she was a stray.

KHOU reports that the dog is likely in better shape than McHale.

The dog was picked up by the city of Houston’s Animal Shelter and Adoption Facility.

Technicians and volunteers took an instant liking to the Chihuahua and named her “Starbucks”.

“Why would you do this to a little dog? This dog never hurt anyone, but we’re going to save her no matter what he did,” said Nela Brown with Frisky Paws Rescue.

Nela Brown is now caring for the dog as she recovers.

“How in the world can someone take such a tiny animal and use it to vent their anger,” questioned Brown.[su_csky_ad]

I didn’t think it was possible to be so obsessed with Starbucks coffee, that someone could throw a dog at a window in anger.

My guess is he needed a hug as a kid and was denied.

Someone should take a baseball bat to this degenerate. I hope the little dog fully recovers and finds a loving home.

As a caffeine addict, I apologize for this man’s actions.

The craving for coffee can sometimes make you do pretty desperate things, but I hope I never get to THAT point.

Hello…it was a chihuahua, evil little dogs, biters and trouble makers the lot of them.
Jeez, it’s not as if it was a lab or mastiff. Yeah, the dog was prolly on its way back from attacking a group of bunny rabbits at a childs birthday party.

    Poor window

So what happened to this guy, was he thrown in the Drunk tank and charged with animal abuse??? I wish no violence toward him as he has clearly shown this little dog, but do hope Karma can share a visit soon….

Yes, he should at least have to go through the ordeal of the court system, and having to hire a lawyer. Since we can’t do to him what he did to his dog, maybe we can teach him an inconvenient lesson.

        Seems fitting….

I thought I was the only one who thought Fourbucks coffee was bitter. Give me Dunkin donuts any day, at a fraction of the price.

    • arc99 October 26th, 2014 at 12:16 pm

one man’s bitter is another man’s delight.

for those of us who prefer dark-roasted espresso-like coffee, Starbucks is not really “bitter” enough so they lose on both ends of the spectrum. I like dark roasted coffee and Starbucks is too bland for my tastes. Costco French Roast provides me with a better taste and I can make it at home.

fyi, I have heard that dark roasted coffee has less caffeine than the regular stuff. the beans are roasted longer, and more of the caffeine gets “cooked” out of them. so according to what I read, that jolt of high octane espresso just might have less caffeine than the brew from the nearby Dunkin Donuts.

Obviously it’s a matter of taste, and the “experts” change their minds so often on how bad caffeine is for you, that I don’t worry about it anymore.

I made a coffee/tea bar at my house, better than Starbuck’s and I don’t have to get out of my jammies to get coffee.
I have been researching growing coffee beans and tea leaves so I will be ready when we move to the farm. I take my coffee seriously! LOL

My little chihuahua baby is curled up on my bed beside me as I type. He’s like a family member, and there is no way I’d ever do anything to endanger his life. Larry McHale needs to have his ass kicked.
