Man Drops Cigarette, Runs Over Own Head With His Car
A Colorado man dropped a lit cigarette down the front of his jacket so he jumped out of his vehicle, then was run over by his own car. The unidentified man suffered life-threatening injuries on Sunday at 6:37 a.m. while backing out of his driveway.
[su_center_ad]As the driver jumped out after the cigarette fell, his van kept rolling backwards and he was knocked to the ground. The front driver’s side tire rolled over his head, WFAA reports.
The man was transported to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition. Police say he will likely survive.
During the incident, a relative was in the front passenger seat and he was not injured.
Police do not anticipate filing any charges and they say alcohol is not a suspected factor in the crash.
