Aaron Lewis of Staind had a difficult time remembering the words to the National Anthem Sunday.

After starting with “O say can you see by the dawn’s early light, what so proudly we hailed,” Lewis diverted from the lyrics. Instead of singing “at the twilight’s last gleaming” he sang “ were so gallantly streaming,” words that appear later in the national anthem.

Lewis apologized on Facebook.

How about we just eliminate this faux patriotism before ballgames? [su_csky_ad]

Thanks Fox for choosing this clown in the first place! Whether making up news, fanning the flames of Ebola fear or presenting poorly prepared and untalented “singers”, you prove yourselves to be wanting at every opportunity!

the choice of a singer is usually up to the home team and the league, not the TV network.

Perhaps not as trendy, but Huey Lewis lives just up the road in Marin County. Perhaps he would have been a better choice.
