Sure she was confined to a tent and had her right violated, but she had great takeout. said New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

“She had a tent inside. There’s been all kinds of malarkey about this. She was inside the hospital in a climate-controlled area with access to her cell phone, access to the internet, and takeout food from the best restaurants in Newark.”

“The best restaurants in Newark.” Yeah, sorta don’t hear *that* everyday….

    • William October 28th, 2014 at 11:30 pm

Yeah seriously, what if doesn’t like White Castle?

    • M D Reese October 29th, 2014 at 12:56 am

I don’t know about Newark, but in my town that really isn’t saying much…

  2. William October 28th, 2014 at 11:27 pm

…and who would know more about take out food than Chris Christie?

  3. Tommy6860 October 28th, 2014 at 11:33 pm

Christie wasn’t confined and he eats all of the take out food he can on the taxpayer dime. He cannot bring himself to admit he screwed up, so he deflects his mandated confinement as a bit of luxury.

“bit of luxury?” not even close.

Exactly! Three hots and a cot, and nice steamer trunk to poop in, wifi–I mean what the heck is she bitching about?…

      • Bunya October 29th, 2014 at 3:48 pm

I think he went overboard in his generosity. Why should the taxpayers have to spring for a steamer trunk to poo in? I’m sure a plastic bucket from the dollar store would’ve sufficed. We can’t coddle these damn folks who participate in offering humanitarian services to those less fortunate! Not only that, fifteen meals would be Christie’s breakfast on Tuesday. I hope this nurse realizes she’s taking food directly from the mouth of the fine governor!

Indeed! I’ve lived in the Bush and had to use a honey bucket for 9 months. She’s lucky they set her up with a “Lug-a-ble Loo” snap-on seat! Those bucket rims DO bite in.

Seriously, Christie never fails to disappoint…

Screwed up is an understatement. He held a woman hostage due to ignorance and hubris. Anyone else would be in jail.

Ready for game 7 tonight? Man the Royals sure whooped up on the Giants. I just hope they used up all of their allotted runs for the series :P.

I barely slept. The series has given me an opportunity to hone my trash talking skills with Tired_of_Tea, something I’ve never done before. I’ve always been a sports fan but this particular group of young men inspire a following like none I’ve seen before. Even if they don’t take the series, I (along with the rest of KC) are incredibly proud of these young men and it has nothing to do with their athletic skills.

San Fran isn’t my fav BB team, the Reds are. Honestly, I am not that big of a BB fan. But I jut like seeing different teams make it. if KC wins, I’ll be just as happy for them as I would SF. I am a serious Niner fan though, but any team from SF is OK with me. Liberal bastions are always a hit :).

Baseball, Royals baseball (mostly at the old municipal stadium) in right field GA are some of the best memories of my childhood. MIke wasn’t a great step-dad, hell he wasn’t even a good one but there were times he did an exceptional job. He gave me my lifelong love of sports and I passed it along to my daughter – something we share as adults.

well, that’s one way to hint not to be eating at the upscale restaurants in Newark (leaves more pickin’s for him) – guess that means he’s pretty much called off the diet routine between now and 2016?

    nice song though…

‘Don’t close a bridge for me, Governor Christie,
-just because I’m coming back from Africa’
la,la,la, hum de hum de da_

(sung to the tune of ‘Don’t cry for me King Marcus Tail Hiking Land)

Guess he thinks take-out in Newark is like putting her up at the Waldorf with room service?
