Billy Joe Turner, 76, allegedly conducted a sexual assault against a 39-year-old woman while allowing it to be seen on Skype.

“On Oct. 22, dispatch received a 911 call at approximately 4 p.m. of what was believed to be an assault and rape,” Union County Sheriff Investigator Staff Sgt. Darren Osborn told the newspaper. “It was being viewed via Skype. Deputies responded and I responded as well.”

The victim was “not physically injured,” police said.

Police arrested Turnage and charged him with sexual battery and criminal attempt to commit rape.[su_csky_ad]

What’s shocking is that he knew how to use Skype.

What’s not shocking is that he was too stupid to turn it off.

Not quite accurate – the GOP chairman in Union County in northern Georgia. A county chairman does not equal John Padgett, Georgia Republican Chairman http://gagop.org/. Actually verifying those little facts does not detract from horror of anyone committing these acts at any time, anywhere, but they actually do matter, Alan.

And we wonder why bloggers get a bad rep for being hysterical instead of reality based

The Atlanta Journal Constitution Confirms: 76 year old GOP Chairman Arrested after Skype broadcast of his assault and attempted rape:“A picture of Turnage and David Perdue, the GOP candidate for U.S. Senate, is on the Union County GOP Facebook page. It’s not likely to be there long.”http://politics.blog.ajc.com/2014/10/29/coke-ceo-aims-to-take-the-fizz-out-of-michelle-nunn/ -The 76-year-old chairman of the Union County Republican party, Billy Joe Turnage, has been arrested and charged with aggravated sexual battery and criminal attempt to commit rape, according to weekly North Georgia News. The arrest was Friday. The article includes these lines:

“Oct. 22, dispatch received a 911 call at approximately 4 p.m. of what was believed to be an assault and rape,” Sgt. Osborn said. “It was being viewed via Skype. Deputies responded and I responded as well.”

Ryan Mahoney, a spokesman for the state GOP, said state party officials have received no communication regarding Turnage’s status. Any effort to remove him would require action at the local level, Mahoney said. A picture of Turnage and David Perdue, the GOP candidate for U.S. Senate, is on the Union County GOP Facebook page.

My point is the misuse of the title. The fact that the subject pervert is a county chairman (a county of 21,566 per 2013 stats) vs the State Chairman is significant (9,992,167 as of the same 2013 stats). The title is actually misleading and it isn’t clarified in the text.

The same would hold true if a RW blogger tried that crap on a Democratic Chairman when it was a local chairman of a small rural county.

Do you think GOP U.S. Senate Candidate David Perdue will admit he pals around with an indicted & arrested rapist?

Irrelevant. Just like Bill Ayers meeting with Obama is irrelevant – Just like John McCain dancing with Syrian rebels that could have been part of ISIS is irrelevant…Just like your logical fallacy is irrelevant

Douglas Adams, “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”:

        ARTHUR DENT:
The first I knew about it was when a workmen arrived at the door yesterday.

        MISTER PROSSER:
        T- oh!

        ARTHUR DENT:
I asked him if he’d come to clean the windows and he said he’d come to demolish the house! He didn’t tell me straight away of course. Oh no. First he wiped a couple of windows and charged me a fiver. Then he told me.

        MISTER PROSSER:
But Mister Dent the plans have been available in the planning office for the last nine months!

        ARTHUR DENT:
Yes! I went round to find them yesterday afternoon. You’d hadn’t exactly gone out of your way to pull much attention to them have you? I mean, like actually telling anybody or anything.

        MISTER PROSSER:
        The plans were on display.

        ARTHUR DENT:
Ah! And how many members of the public are in the habit of casually dropping around the local planning office of an evening?

        MISTER PROSSER:
        Er – ah!

        ARTHUR DENT:
It’s not exactly a noted social venue is it? And even if you had popped in on the off chance that some raving bureaucrat wanted to knock your house down, the plans weren’t immediately obvious to the eye were they?

        MISTER PROSSER:
That depends where you were looking.

        ARTHUR DENT:
I eventually had to go down to the cellar!

        MISTER PROSSER:
        That’s the display department.

        ARTHUR DENT:
        With a torch!

        MISTER PROSSER:
        The lights, had… probably gone.

        ARTHUR DENT:
        So had the stairs!

        MISTER PROSSER:
Well you found the notice didn’t you?

        ARTHUR DENT:
Yes. It was on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet, stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying “Beware of the Leopard”. Ever thought of going into advertising?
