[su_right_ad]Economist Ben Stein thinks President Obama is playing the race card to help Democrats win elections.

“The president is the most racist president there has ever been in America,” Stein said. “He is purposely trying to use race to divide Americans.”

Stein claimed that Obama and other Democrats are trying to portray the GOP as anti-black.

“What the White House is trying to do is racialize all politics and they’re especially trying to tell the African-American voter that the GOP is against letting them have a chance at a good life in this economy, and that’s just a complete lie.”

Stein continued: “I watch with fascination – with incredible fascination – all the stories about how the Democratic politicians, especially Hillary [Clinton], are trying to whip up the African-American vote and say, ‘Oh, the Republicans have policies against black people in terms of the economy.’ But there are no such policies.”…

“The idea that the Republicans are making life difficult for black people is just nonsense, just absolute nonsense,” Stein told Fox News.[su_csky_ad]

Time for another edition of the political game show,. Lying or Stupid??

Or as David Frum said, “Republicans have been Fleeced, Exploited And Lied To’ by a Conservative Entertainment Complex”

    Or as even And even William Kristol said, on Conservativism becoming a racket;
“Every great cause begins as a movement, becomes a business, and
    eventually degenerates into a racket.”

“Time for another edition of the political game show,. Lying or Stupid??” Uhh, he can’t be both?

      • OldLefty November 3rd, 2014 at 8:50 pm

I think that’s the bonus round.

        • tiredoftea November 3rd, 2014 at 10:15 pm

          Ha!

  2. tiredoftea November 3rd, 2014 at 3:31 pm

“The idea that the Republicans are making life difficult for black people is just nonsense, just absolute nonsense,” Stein told Fox News.” Whitesplaining to an old white audience that their racism is just not their fault, it’s the black guy’s!

    • R.J. Carter November 3rd, 2014 at 3:50 pm

It’s okay, Ben. The black guys are hearing the message, too.

Ahh, yes, the other James O’Keefe!

        • R.J. Carter November 3rd, 2014 at 4:24 pm

What, he selectively edited the interviews to cut out all the “But we really love the Democrats” comments? 😛

          • tiredoftea November 3rd, 2014 at 5:57 pm

Well, that and the “We are so happy about all the jobs the Republicans have provided.” ones! 😉

          • R.J. Carter November 4th, 2014 at 9:37 am

In Detroit, Chicago and St. Louis, they first have to get Republican leadership before Republican leadership can do anything about jobs.

          • tiredoftea November 4th, 2014 at 12:23 pm

Well, they can look to WI., MI., LA., TX., MS. and AR. for the models of Republican leadership and the robust economies they created for their citizens.

          • R.J. Carter November 4th, 2014 at 12:24 pm

(Psst: Detroit is in MI. And TX has done rather well.)

          • tiredoftea November 4th, 2014 at 12:37 pm

Only because the Repub appointed MI. receiver hasn’t sold it to Canada. And, TX. is barely doing OK despite the oil deposits. No other sector of their economy is growing much.

          • Bunya November 4th, 2014 at 2:26 pm

Really? Bruce Rauner who has done more to ship jobs overseas than any democrat? No thanks. That’s the kind of leadership Illinois can do without!

          • R.J. Carter November 4th, 2014 at 2:28 pm

I’ll be up all night watching the Illinois returns. I’ll be very happy if Grimm wins, but my vote went to Rauner. #anybodybutquinn

            No accounting for taste

      • arc99 November 3rd, 2014 at 6:58 pm

Looks like you found the black folks who would vote for Ben Carson.

Meanwhile, the remaining 95% of us say, no thanks, I’ll take Hilary.

Heads up folks. A bit of googling shows that this video is creating quite a buzz in the right wing blogosphere. I have no idea why the opinions of 5% of the community are given such credence over the documented voting habits of the rest of the community.

If you want to know what black folks think about politics, all you need is your local newspaper the day after election day and check the returns.

        Any questions?

        • R.J. Carter November 4th, 2014 at 9:36 am

I’ll do that, but be aware in my area the black leadership is getting behind Republican Rick Stream…

          • arc99 November 4th, 2014 at 11:42 am

If this is the race you are referring to, it is hardly an embrace of the GOP. It is anger about events in Ferguson. To consider Ferguson protesters as converts to Republican ideals is a bit of a stretch.

And as soon as those community leaders get a front row seat to the agenda of the national GOP of making it harder to vote, gutting the voting rights act, refusing to extend unemployment benefits, and refusing to raise the minimum wage, my hunch is that they will be solidly back in the Democratic fold come 2016.

            http://www.ksdk.com/story/news/local/2014/10/02/rick-stream-endorsement-african-american-leaders/16571157/

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) – A coalition of Democratic African-American leaders says it will help turn out voters for Republican Rick Stream in the St. Louis County Executive race this November.

The group of elected leaders have formed the Fannie Lou Hamer Democratic Coalition of St. Louis County.

They are upset with Democrat Steve Stenger’s support of county prosecutor Bob McCulloch who refuses to recuse himself from the Michael Brown case. But they also say their frustrations go beyond Ferguson.

They say Democrat leaders have ignored their concerns on a range of issues from the Normandy schools to minority inclusion in county contracts.

          • R.J. Carter November 4th, 2014 at 12:26 pm

And here’s the hammer of truth breaking the hole in the wall of perception that allows a vision of reality: “They say Democrat leaders have ignored their concerns on a range of issues …”

And thus the voting public became enlightened.

    • arc99 November 3rd, 2014 at 4:26 pm

So gutting the Voting Rights Act which Republicans supported and Democrats opposed, was intended to help black people?

      Who knew?

    • AAASuperPatriot November 3rd, 2014 at 7:06 pm

      What is “whitesplaining”?

      • AAASuperPatriot November 3rd, 2014 at 7:07 pm

        Nevermind… I googled it.

We have two slaveowners on Mt. Rushmore but President Obama is the most racist President in our history?

Right wingers cannot even get their lies in sync. The racist policies of President Woodrow Wilson are well known.

This National Review article, details the actions of the Wilson administration in a laughable effort to portray 21st century liberals as no different than the so-called progressives of the 19th century.

    http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/345274/progressive-racism-paul-rahe

Today’s progressives should consider the sobering history of Woodrow Wilson’s segregation policy.

    • AAASuperPatriot November 3rd, 2014 at 7:05 pm

      >>We have two slaveowners on Mt. Rushmore but President Obama is the most racist President in our history?

      Excellent point.

Modern conservatives think the most racist thing you can do is call-out racism.

  4. mea_mark November 3rd, 2014 at 4:06 pm

The day before the elections, we all knew this was going to be the day that the lies would flow most freely from the mouth’s of the republicans. This is their strategy for capturing votes, by lying cheating and deceiving. This late in the game there isn’t time to refute all their lies and the gullible will lap them up and vote based on the falsehoods presented by the republicans. American exceptionalism in politics brought to you courtesy of the republicans.

Ben Stein an example of what you get when the taint of Nixon languishes in relative obscurity. The best thing Ben Stein ever did was fade from the public eye. He’s 25 year old + joke made by saying things in a monotone manner, what dross. Hey did you also know he’s certifiably stupid by advocating anti-science with his little film Expelled…yeah check out that ol’ chestnut if you feel like vomiting out of your eyes with rage.

  6. Tommy6860 November 3rd, 2014 at 4:42 pm

This from the racist who denoted that because Michael Brown was big and scary, meant that he was naturally armed and dangerous, because “black”. I guess those roid raging white guys with guns are never the law breakers. This asshat strives to maintain white supremacy as he marginalizes.

  9. AAASuperPatriot November 3rd, 2014 at 7:03 pm

Ben Stein obviously believes in the Fake Fox Obama who conservatives project all their worst traits upon.

The real Obama is affable almost to a fault.

    • Paul Carr November 4th, 2014 at 1:16 am

So now friendly and charming are the top criteria we want to use when electing a President? Those who are overly affable usually end up being charlatans.

  10. StoneyCurtisll November 3rd, 2014 at 7:35 pm

Ben Stein can fit all his black friends into the trunk of his car, and still have room for the Republican elephant..

LOL! That’s the first question that crossed my mind, too.

I knew I wasn’t the only 1 out here in space. That’s how I feel about Pat Robertson every week when they run something about what’s he’s said… it’s like hasn’t anyone thought about blowing on him to knock him down since he’s the last to know he’s dead?

  13. Robert Merrill Taylor November 5th, 2014 at 9:02 pm

Ben Stein will say whatever Benjamin Netanyahu instructs him to say.
