[su_right_ad]If Republicans take over the Senate, birthers want them to investigate where Barack Obama was born. At least that’s what the fine folks at World Net Daily are hoping.

Lord Christopher Monckton declares that once “the GOP commands both the Senate and the House,” conservatives should demand that they “find what in English we should call the cojones to do something about the birth certificate.”

“If the GOP wins the Senate, and even if it does not win the Senate, let it at last find the guts to do what it should have done long before now,” he writes. “Let it say yes to Sheriff Joe’s request that it should initiate a congressional investigation of this affair.”

He warns that “the clock is ticking” on Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s birther “cold case posse” investigation: “If the sheriff cannot act now, on the basis of the overwhelming evidence in his possession, then Mr. Obama will survive to the end of his second unlawful term as “president.”[su_csky_ad]

    Oh good grief.

    • M D Reese November 3rd, 2014 at 12:08 pm

Well–at least it would LOOK like they’re doing something…

  2. mea_mark November 3rd, 2014 at 11:52 am

They might as well. It’s not like they are going to do anything productive, they are going to have to waste time and taxpayer dollars on something, it is what they do. If you don’t like it America, vote on Tuesday to prevent it.

  3. Red Eye Robot November 3rd, 2014 at 12:03 pm

Birth certificate? Come on Alan, You’re not even trying, try these headines out, If elected: “GOP will put Sarah Palin on Supreme Court” If elected: “GOP will declare war on Mexico” If elected: “GOP will give black children cancer”

Never in all my born days have I seen such a case of complete denial.

The headline is entirely accurate and based on facts. But I do understand your objections. If I were a right winger, I too would object to facts which demonstrate that my ideological colleagues are certifiably insane.

      • tiredoftea November 3rd, 2014 at 12:40 pm

        And, by extension, myself!

    • mea_mark November 3rd, 2014 at 12:07 pm

Why state the obvious? We all know what the GOP wish list is.

  4. arc99 November 3rd, 2014 at 12:05 pm

Maybe Republicans taking the Senate, thanks in part to what many political analysts are predicting to be a record low voter turnout, could be the best thing for the country.

Let America see how bat-sh*t crazy right wingers are.

President Obama will still have his veto pen. Nothing will get done for two years. Then in 2016 where 23 of 33 Senate seats being contested are held by Republicans (many of those in blue Presidential states), America can determine whether a political party which not only tolerates but embraces delusional psychosis is fit to govern our republic.

    • tiredoftea November 3rd, 2014 at 12:39 pm

Yes, that’s pretty much the hope for the Dems.

    • Scopedog November 3rd, 2014 at 5:12 pm

      No it won’t.

Sorry, but Americans have already seen how bat-s**t crazy the GOP is, and yet there is a high chance that they will still give the GOP control of the Senate. It doesn’t matter how badly the GOP f**ks the country, the MSM will cut the GOP an immense amount of slack, people have short memories, and idiots on our side of the fence are running around telling people not to vote.

  5. Foundryman November 3rd, 2014 at 12:20 pm

Could be a good thing, if they waste their time on trying to destroy Obama, they won’t have as much to any harm to the rest of the country….Plus, people will see how nuts they are.

    • mea_mark November 3rd, 2014 at 12:37 pm

They got to look good pretending to do something in order to keep the campaign donations coming in. This is America after all.

    • tiredoftea November 3rd, 2014 at 12:38 pm

That theory hasn’t worked, so far. 50+ repeal ACA votes, twice threatening to cause a fed default, two fed government shutdowns, etc., etc. has shown the fringe right to be harmful, but yet they are back again!

  6. mrsgunka November 3rd, 2014 at 12:24 pm

That statement alone should be enough to get every breathing Democrat out to vote! It’s time to cut them off and get back to sanity and our country back on track with these naysayers out of office!

  7. KABoink_after_wingnut_hacker November 3rd, 2014 at 12:33 pm

    What a bunch of buffoons.

  8. dave-dr-gonzo November 3rd, 2014 at 12:39 pm

Please, bring it on! The more damage the factionalized GOP can inflict upon itself, the better.

    • Scopedog November 3rd, 2014 at 5:10 pm

The problem is that they will inflict a whole lot of damage on the US at the same time.

  9. tiredoftea November 3rd, 2014 at 12:50 pm

Even for WND, this guy is scraping the bottom of a very dirty barrel. A refresher on “Lord Christopher Monckton”, the pretend member of the British House of Lords, adviser to Margaret Thatcher, advocated an enlightened AIDS policy, “…screen the entire population regularly and to quarantine all carriers of the disease for life. Every member of the population should be blood-tested every month … all those found to be infected with the virus, even if only as carriers, should be isolated compulsorily, immediately, and permanently.” Climate change denier, spokesman for the Heartland Institute, and so on, and so on…

“overwhelming evidence”? Is that what they are calling a smelly pile of B.S. these days?

    • Larry Schmitt November 3rd, 2014 at 2:39 pm

At least the smell is overwhelming.

  11. Ronald Woolever November 3rd, 2014 at 12:59 pm

Just curious as to why an English ‘lord’ would give a rats furry what we do here. Besides which we have enough moron birthers here we certainly don’t need to import them.

    • Larry Schmitt November 3rd, 2014 at 2:38 pm

In return, let’s start an inquiry on the legitimacy of Elizabeth’s claim to the throne.

    • Dave B. November 3rd, 2014 at 7:20 pm

I’m more curious about why we should give a rats furry over what an English ‘lord’ thinks.

  12. Bunya November 3rd, 2014 at 1:13 pm

That’s right, Lord Christopher. You jump right on that and let me know how that works out for you. Can’t let these foreigners from Hawaii think they’re entitled to hold office of the presidency.

  13. tracey marie November 3rd, 2014 at 1:45 pm

lol, they are still stuck on their blantent racism.

Canadian Inquisitor Ted Cruz calls his first witnesses: ‘I remind the witnesses, clones and Ouija boards that you’re all under oath!

Cruz: ‘As the sworn clone of deceased Dr. Rodney T. West, the claimed OB/GYN who delivered Barack Obama tell us what you remember?’

Dr. Rodney T. West: “Well, today, Stanley had a baby.“ In response to Barbara Nelson ‘So, tell me something interesting that happened this week,’”-His response: Barbara Nelson of Kenmore recalls the day he was born Aug. 4, 1961, at Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women & Children in Honolulu. 16. Larry Schmitt November 3rd, 2014 at 2:36 pm

“find what in English we should call the cojones…” We’re supposed to take this man seriously, and he doesn’t even know the difference between English and Spanish?

  17. ExPFCWintergreen November 3rd, 2014 at 3:16 pm

Gawd, that would be AWESOME! I wholeheartedly endorse any and all such witch-hunts. I mean, the more time these yardbirds spend in a Teahad circle-jerk, the less time they can spend actually screwing up the country.

    • Obewon November 3rd, 2014 at 3:32 pm

This could be a bigger ratings boost then GOP’s midterm Teabola strategy ad buys.

  18. William November 3rd, 2014 at 4:48 pm

Yeah, remember when folks demanded to see the birth certificates of the white presidents, and then claimed the document was forged?
    Yeah me neither.

  19. Jack November 3rd, 2014 at 5:41 pm

It’s Fake Lord Monckton again, still defying an order from the House of Lords to stop calling himself a lord because he isn’t one.
