Glenn Beck on Monday revealed in a lengthy post on The Blaze  that he has been suffering from health issues that he said, “quite honestly has made me look crazy.”

Beck said he was told he may only have several functional years left, and his health conditions were causing such pain that doing live programming was becoming difficult.

[su_center_ad]“Tonight’s show is not for the casual fan or, really, anyone in the press,” Beck said. “This is a one-on-one between friends. No one in the media ever does a show like this, because it is crazy. … But I believe that by not talking with you openly, it destroys everything of real meaning and value — namely, our trust.”

“I have never lied to you, but I have omitted a few really important facts because — they scared me,” Beck said. “I didn’t have any answers, and the answers I was being given at the time meant … the end of our time together.”

According to The Blaze, it was around the time of his Restoring Honor event in Washington, D.C., that God started telling him that he was standing in the wrong place. At that time he began to suffer from vocal cord paralysis, eyesight problems and what doctors initially thought was neuropathy. .

“While I was at Fox, the pain would get so bad that my camera crew, our executive producer Tiffany and I, had worked out hand signals so they would know when to take the camera off of me,” Beck said. “We didn’t know at the time what was causing me to feel as though, out of nowhere, my hands and feet, or arms and legs would feel like someone had just crushed them, set them on fire or pushed broken glass into them.”

After suffering from convulsions, Beck was tested for traumatic brain injury and he said they discovered that that he was functioning in the bottom tenth percentile.

“I was told at the time that I had anywhere between five and ten years before I would no longer be able to function,” Beck said. “I was told to go home, take at least a year off, and enjoy the days with my children.”

“Over the last ten months, I did all kinds of tests and therapies, which included everything from electric stimulation to weird gyroscope tests like the astronauts use where they’re flipping you around,” Beck remarked. “After months of treatment and completely changing the way I eat, sleep, work and live, along with ongoing hormone treatment and intensive physical therapy, I have reversed the process. Some of the physical scars will be with me for the rest of my life … but my brain is back online in a big way.”

According to Beck, tests now show him in the 90th percentile and he’s received a clean bill of health.

“Rush Limbaugh says he does the show with half his brain tied behind his back,” Beck said. “With me, it’s actually been true. But now, it’s back online.”

I’m guessing that on tonight’s show he’ll be discussing how grateful he is for Obamacare.

    • Tommy6860 November 11th, 2014 at 8:39 am

Probably because the remedy was a regimen in facts and honesty for treatment.

      • Carla Akins November 11th, 2014 at 8:44 am

then forget it – that won’t happen.

        • Tommy6860 November 11th, 2014 at 8:57 am

That was the treatment, after that, what he does will more than likely be the same disease from his recidivism. 😛

          • Carla Akins November 11th, 2014 at 9:07 am

I’m not sure, but I can guarantee it will drag out forever and involve him making outrageous proclamations – all while on crying jags.

I have suspected ever since his crazy delusions about Arab Spring that he was likely bipolar. I’m still thinking that could be the actual truth.

  4. Sam November 11th, 2014 at 8:48 am

Most of us already knew about his BAT SHXX craziness years ago.
While he admitted he sounded and look crazy in the past ,,,,his followers never had a clue.,
Conclusion,,,They are as crazy as he is and still dont have a clue.

I normally would sympathize with a person like this, but its glenn beck so it seems like he is being taught how valuable empathy is.

I do not believe a damn thing that con man says. Losing his hearing, going blind, gaining weight all “medical” issues when his rating dip.

When it gets to zero percent brain activity I’ll give a hot squirt of piss about this one.

  11. Larry Schmitt November 11th, 2014 at 9:29 am

No, I’m pretty sure he looks crazy because he is crazy.

  12. Boardwalker November 11th, 2014 at 9:39 am

Interesting, isn’t it, that his mystery disease doesn’t get named? Yet he somehow figured out the cure for it. Riiiiggghhhht! Tell us another good one, Glenn!

So, his not being able to talk worked so well, he’s now upping his game?

  16. veggiedude November 11th, 2014 at 10:04 am

    Conservatism is a mental disorder.

    • Dwendt44 November 11th, 2014 at 11:30 am

Add in a side order of Mormonism, or is it Moronism?

      • fahvel November 11th, 2014 at 2:34 pm

  18. gilligan November 11th, 2014 at 10:11 am

He needs some sympathy. To bad!

  19. Foundryman November 11th, 2014 at 10:11 am

What a typical right wing coward, no personal responsibility always an excuse and blame other than themselves….
An unknown, unnamed mental condition my ass…
functioning at the bottom tenth percentile….who’s surprised by that???

    • allison1050 November 11th, 2014 at 10:15 am

      ;o) lol

  20. Antigone November 11th, 2014 at 10:17 am

Beck tried this type of sympathy card back in 2010 when he said he was told he could be blind within a year due to Macular dystrophy.

  21. causeican November 11th, 2014 at 10:24 am

My diagnosis is Tourette Syndrome. A neurological disorder characterized by repetitive, stereotyped, involuntary movements and vocalizations called tics

    • R.J. Carter November 11th, 2014 at 11:49 am

Yeah, I’ve lived with that up close, so, no.

  22. jcspires51 November 11th, 2014 at 10:54 am

The truth is out … if it looks like a duck, a sounds like a duck, it is a duck. And if it looks crazy and sounds crazy, it IS someone who works regularly for Fox News …

  23. Mephistophiles November 11th, 2014 at 11:22 am

Republicanism is a neurological illness…who knew!?

  24. William November 11th, 2014 at 11:53 am

Beck was tested for traumatic brain injury and he said they discovered that that he was functioning in the bottom tenth percentile.

    1. Someone just now noticed that?
    2. Since when has the right ever considered paranoid, crazy, teabaggery a liability?

    • fahvel November 11th, 2014 at 2:32 pm

good for you W!!!!! Maybe I should say William. A W by itself suggests something rather vile.

  25. Boehner-Monkey November 11th, 2014 at 12:20 pm

    Now it all makese sense!!!

  26. Chris Evans November 11th, 2014 at 12:28 pm

As someone with ACTUAL debilitating mental disorders, I’m rather confused as to either trust him, or not.. He’s made a career of lying his ass off, and it’s like the boy who cried wolf. Don’t know whether to have sympathy or not trust him.

  27. fahvel November 11th, 2014 at 2:31 pm

I hope this doesn’t sound mean, but I’ve listened to this thing while visiting the states and I couldn’t give a damn about what he has said or what his excuse is for his sub human crap.

  28. KDee November 11th, 2014 at 6:51 pm

Being bi-polar is debilitating, not rare. Of course, he would have a “rare” condition. He says that it had something concerning adrenals or some other BS. I don’t really care about him or his problems unless I see that he is no longer a mean, uncaring, paranoid idiot. I think that I’ll be waiting a long, long time.

  29. Bunya November 11th, 2014 at 7:56 pm

Okay, having a neurological disorder explains why you look crazy. What’s your excuse for talking and acting crazy?

  30. Ol Blue November 11th, 2014 at 8:51 pm

The technical medical term is “Attention Whore”.

  31. fancypants November 11th, 2014 at 11:15 pm

glen had to move out of NYC or he would have been dead ?
    That sounds like good advise….

  32. Jack Steen November 12th, 2014 at 9:33 am

    What an idiot.
