Donnie Swaggart says gay activists are like ISIS and they’d behead Christians if they could.

[su_right_ad]Swaggart — the son of disgraced 1980s televangelist Jimmy Swaggart — made the statements in response to local efforts to enforce the city of Houston’s anti-discrimination ordinance.

“All of this is to shut the Bible up,” Swaggart said. “They want the Bible gone. And I’m going to make a statement: These people that are trying to do this in Houston, the only difference between them and ISIS, those thugs in Iraq, is those here cannot chop our heads off. That’s the only difference. The heart is the same. The heart is the same. If they could silence us that way to intimidate others, that’s exactly what they would do.”

You father paid men for sex and snorted meth off their buttocks, your father threatened to kill gay men who looked at him with lust….I am guessing the apple is the same as the tree and we will see this son in a gay sex scandal

    • R.J. Carter November 18th, 2014 at 3:31 pm

I think that was a different evangelist. Jimmy paid female hookers to slither around while he self-performed.

      • searambler November 18th, 2014 at 3:35 pm

It’s so hard to keep the pervy disgraced fallen evangelists straight without a playbook…

        • StoneyCurtisll November 18th, 2014 at 4:41 pm

          Or a score card…

      • tracey marie November 18th, 2014 at 3:38 pm

damn, I hate when i confuse my preachers.

        • R.J. Carter November 18th, 2014 at 3:55 pm

It’s so easy. Except for Joel Aiken. I mean Clay Osteen. I mean… oh, never mind.

          • tracey marie November 18th, 2014 at 4:00 pm

            laughing and snorting

          • Larry Schmitt November 18th, 2014 at 7:18 pm

Wasn’t Clay Osteen a pitcher for the Dodgers in the 60’s? No, wait, that was Claude Osteen.

      • bpollen November 18th, 2014 at 3:57 pm

And that is just being a baaaaad consumer…

    • viva_democracy November 18th, 2014 at 4:00 pm

You’re thinking of Ted Haggard. He was the meth snorting, gay hating, gay Republican preacher.

      • tracey marie November 18th, 2014 at 4:11 pm

I was corrected by RJ. I confused my preacher scandals

        • Candide Thirtythree November 19th, 2014 at 12:33 pm

Easy to do since there are so many of them.

You worship the same deity as ISIS, asshole. People like you are as big a threat to this world as any other fundamentalist religious nuts…

  4. mea_mark November 18th, 2014 at 3:46 pm

If only Swaggart understood that it is not so much the Bible but the dumb fuck interpretation they have of the ancient writings. It has simply been rewritten too many times in effort to control people that it has lost much of the good message it originally had. It has become a tool of corruption, fraud and evil for the devious.

    • fahvel November 18th, 2014 at 4:58 pm

      wow mm, that’s poetry!

      • mea_mark November 18th, 2014 at 5:17 pm

My poetic mean side slips out now and then. I need to keep it contained because sometimes I feel like I am channeling spirits with evil intent … Mu ah ha ha hahah …

        • Hirightnow November 18th, 2014 at 6:04 pm

Poetry without emotion would be useless…

          • mea_mark November 18th, 2014 at 6:09 pm

Totally agree. I just don’t want to go from channeling to possession …

          • Hirightnow November 18th, 2014 at 6:17 pm

Off to the side, have you ever read Phillip Rothfuss?

          • mea_mark November 18th, 2014 at 7:03 pm

No, I haven’t read that much in the last 20 years that is entertaining and fun. I used a to read several books a week. but that was years ago. Now-a-days I am trying to apply what I was so fortunate to have learned from my reading of sci-fy and fantasy, many years ago.

          • Hirightnow November 18th, 2014 at 7:10 pm

Well, I highly recommend “The Name of the Wind” and “A Wise Man’s Fear”.

  5. viva_democracy November 18th, 2014 at 3:56 pm

Hey Donnie, is your Dad still doing the nasty with prostitutes, asking if their 9 year old Daughters can watch?

    • StoneyCurtisll November 18th, 2014 at 4:26 pm

      Thats mean…
      But true…

  6. bpollen November 18th, 2014 at 3:59 pm

If only he could use the stupidity and projection for good… but nooooo, he goes straight to lying, sniveling evil…

  7. John_St_John November 18th, 2014 at 4:04 pm

No, that would be hyper religious Christofacists like Donnie Swaggert who would be carrying out beheadings. Especially on anyone who does not bow down to the vile gods they serve.

  8. Pat Padrnos November 18th, 2014 at 4:20 pm

This charlatan, his father and his mother promote hate on a daily basis. They are completely and totally brainwashed and do the same to any and all who follow them. They have created a mighty and wealthy business promoting the “works of Jesus”. They cater to the fearful and simple people who believe what they say. “Send us your $1,000 seed of faith. You will be rewarded ten fold.” They promote the fearful idea that if the person watching does not send in their “faith seed” they will be committing a sin – and God is watching them!!!
How can ANYONE believe this nonsense?

    • Dwendt44 November 18th, 2014 at 7:04 pm

Not so sure that THEY believe their own B.S., but it’s the family business and low overhead and a gullible viewership, results in a good income.

      • StoneyCurtisll November 18th, 2014 at 7:19 pm

        You got that right amigo~!

      • Pat Padrnos November 18th, 2014 at 7:36 pm

Your comment is more accurate than mine. Thank you.

    • Bunya November 18th, 2014 at 8:47 pm

The Swaggarts aren’t brainwashed. They’re scam artists. One needs to possess a certain amount of finesse in order to strategically bilk the feeble-minded out of their life savings.

  9. StoneyCurtisll November 18th, 2014 at 4:21 pm

I feel sorry of Swaggart Jr…
He cant find a real job and be a productive member of society..
Instead he follows in his fathers foot steps and bilks people out of their money through promises of healing and imaginary post death/life..

    • Dwendt44 November 18th, 2014 at 7:01 pm

The Swaggart TV network is a real family affair. Daddy does much of the preaching and the wife, son, and other kids do the ‘teaching’ if that’s what you want to call it.
Largely nonsense, but profitable for them.

  10. StoneyCurtisll November 18th, 2014 at 4:23 pm

the only good thing..(debatable) that the Swaggart family has put out..

Was the music from Jerry Lee Lewis…

The man I’m “caretaking” for (read that:”Watching him die, and making him feel at ease), knew this fact right away.
His brother was at a bar when Jerry Lee came in drunk off his a** and played pianer for an hour.
(Do not discount the elderly…great source of info!)

  11. Foundryman November 18th, 2014 at 4:36 pm

Actually, there is overwhelming evidence that the christian fanatics like their muslim counterparts would behead the LGBT if given a chance.

    • M D Reese November 18th, 2014 at 6:46 pm

They both hate the same groups of people and have a very low opinion of women. It’s the same as when they spew the Liberals-are-just-like-hitler BS. They can’t see the forest for the trees. The Nazi’s were–and still are–a right wing hate group.

      • Dwendt44 November 18th, 2014 at 6:58 pm

And Nazis and the KKK both wave the banner of christianity.

Let’s all stop and think of how many stories we’ve heard about someone from the LGBTQommunity beating up someone for being Christian.
(I’ll wait if you need to search the deep web for some examples.)

Now, let’s all stop and think of how many times we’ve heard of a Christian/Catholic beating up someone for being non-heterosexual.
(I won’t bother waiting, I’m sure you can think of plenty examples.)

    • Candide Thirtythree November 19th, 2014 at 12:28 pm

Christians actually kill gay people just for being gay in this country already. How many have they killed? Anyone have the numbers on that?

    • Bunya November 20th, 2014 at 8:02 pm

Excellent post! While they’re at it, maybe they can tell me how many times pro-choice people have bombed churches. Now, how many doctors were killed and clinics bombed by Christians in the name of their god?

  13. Bluedog65 November 18th, 2014 at 4:43 pm

    Preacher wars brought Swaggart down:

“Swaggart’s exposure came as retaliation for an incident in 1986 when Swaggart exposed fellow Assemblies of God minister Marvin Gorman, who had been accused of having several affairs. Once exposed, Gorman was defrocked from the Assemblies of God, his ministry all but ended. As a retaliatory move, Gorman hired his son Randy and son-in-law Garland Bilbo to stake out the Travel Inn on Airline Highway in New Orleans. A camera with a telephoto lens was placed in the window of the motel’s Room 12 and draped with a black cloth. When Swaggart arrived, he reportedly went into Room 7. Randy Gorman and Garland Bilbo proceeded to let the air out of Swaggart’s tires and called Marvin Gorman, whose church was located nearby. The two had taken photos of Swaggart outside Room 7 with Debra Murphree,[5][6] a local prostitute. Gorman arrived at the Travel Inn a short while later and asked Swaggart what he was doing there.”

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Swaggart#Background

They’re never sorry for what they did, but are always very, very sorry that they got caught.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1OXAi7rNMg

    • Dwendt44 November 18th, 2014 at 7:09 pm

Being exposed may cut into the income for a while but doesn’t seem to end the snake oil sales pitch.
Phoney ‘healer’ Peter Popoff is still in business doing his healing scam and selling ‘holy oil’ to the gullible.

    • Bunya November 18th, 2014 at 8:38 pm

I can’t stand Jimmy Swaggart. I hear he also exposed Jim Baker’s affair. Swaggart called him “a cancer on the body of Christ”. Six months or so later, it was alleged that he was found in a hotel room with a prostitute and farm animals. It irks me that this lowlife scum still has a following.

  21. Bunya November 18th, 2014 at 8:54 pm

The only reason we don’t chop your head off, Donnie, is because IT’S AGAINST THE LAW!!! Now, don’t get me wrong. If I was sure I wouldn’t get caught……

  22. veggiedude November 19th, 2014 at 1:39 am

Liberals tend to be against capital punishment and conservatives tend to be for capital punishment, Its a generalization, but one that tends to be true. Plus, conservatives over here would be the ones more in common with the conservatives over there – and the big ones over there are known as al qaeda and ISIS.

  23. Jeffrey Samuels November 19th, 2014 at 10:58 am

    Dear Mr. Swaggart,
We don’t want the bible gone. We just want you and folks like you to practice your religion in private and not try and force anyone else to abide by your religious dogma. I’m sorry you seem to think that is anti Christian, but guess what! You don’t get to set the rules for non Christians; deal with it.

    • burqa November 21st, 2014 at 1:35 am

      “Anti Christian”?
More like pro-censorship, and reflective if the sort of intolerance one imagines you deplore in others.
In America, people can say stupid things, even as stupid as Swaggart Jr. did, and we can do it publicly.
Sorry, but that’s the way we do it in America. We’ve been doing things that way for 240 years or so. Sorry it escaped your notice.

  24. Candide Thirtythree November 19th, 2014 at 12:24 pm

When christians were not allowed to kill gays in this country, they took up a collection and went to Africa to bribe some African countries to let them kill their gays.

Then they took up another collection to stop the US government from condemning the kill the gays bills that they were pushing in Africa.

The Chick-fil-a guy was one of the christians paying to get in on the gay killing action in Africa, who wants to bet that Swaggart was getting in on that action too?

    • Dwendt44 November 19th, 2014 at 1:10 pm

I’m skeptical. The ‘Swaggart Family Enterprises’ doesn’t spend money unless it benefits them. Besides, if they had, ‘Right Wing Watch’ would have noticed and publicized it.

  25. rg9rts November 20th, 2014 at 7:43 am

Has Alan entered a grasping contest?

    • Bunya November 21st, 2014 at 2:15 pm

So you share Jimmy Swaggart’s hatred of gays. Good to know.

  27. AnthonyLook November 21st, 2014 at 1:36 am

Displacement of what they wish they could; works about as much as their projection of their racist ills. Fear mongering has a purpose, to foment hate; this from yet another fake christian. The new fake American Christianity; based on bigotry, racism, sexism, and hate.

    • burqa November 21st, 2014 at 1:46 am

      Agreed.
Thing is, we have a whole forum here that caters to bigots and foments hatred that comes from those who despise Christians.
By focusing only on Christian kooks, it provides a semblance of cover for them to express their hatred.
When asked to discuss what the majority of Christians do in their community, they react the way Dracula does to daylight.
Notice that no other religion is discussed here.

      • AnthonyLook November 21st, 2014 at 3:24 am

When was the last time elected American Hindu officials or everyday Americans of the Hindu faith stated publically racist, sexist, bigoted or hateful things; what about a Jewish elected official or everyday American of the Jewish faith, or Buddhist, or Wiccan…
There is no despising of Christians; there is a genuine healthy despising of fascist fake christians that have embraced ungodly virtues and values.

      • Bunya November 21st, 2014 at 2:12 pm

It seems you have a problem with those who aren’t Christian. Those who accuse others of bigotry and hatred, are the first to ignore those exact same attributes in themselves.
        .
I’ve noticed in almost every one of your posts, you remind us how you vehemently hate bigotry and intolerance. Why do you think that is? I’m sure you’re trying to convince somebody, but I’m not sure who. Me? You?
        .
I’ve also noticed that no other religion is discussed here. Maybe it’s because those of other faiths don’t bring attention to themselves by bombing our clinics and killing our doctors. Maybe they don’t find as much pleasure in trashing gays and terrorizing women as Christians do. Maybe they don’t think it’s a good idea to start wars, slaughtering hundreds of thousands of their fellow man, in the name of their god.
        .
Now if you feel the Christians aren’t getting enough recognition, please feel free to post a nice story of volunteers aiding the less fortunate. Make sure to mention, over and over again, that only Christians do the “lions share” of the work and we’ll know exactly what you think of non-Christians.
