A woman who bought a gun to prepare for possible unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, appears to have accidentally fatally shot herself in the head on Friday night.

[su_center_ad]The victim was identified in a police report as 26-year-old Becca Campbell. She was a passenger in a car involved in an auto accident while her 33-year-old boyfriend was driving, according to CNN.

The unidentified boyfriend told police that the couple had bought a firearm because of fears of unrest related to the upcoming grand jury decision on Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, in the shooting death of Michael Brown.

According to the boyfriend, as the couple drove late Friday night, the victim waved a gun, jokingly saying they were ready for Ferguson, a source told CNN.

The boyfriend said he ducked to get out of the way of the gun then accidentally rear-ended another car.

The accident caused the gun to go off and she was struck by a bullet in the head, according to the source.

The victim was rushed to a hospital but died.

Police are awaiting gun trace results, as part of the ongoing investigation.

Gun sales have gone up by almost 700% in Ferguson ahead of the Grand Jury decision. Expect more “accidental” shootings.

Okay, instead of a background check, can we start doing IQ tests before selling firearms? Way too many stoopid people out there with guns.

    • Tommy6860 November 24th, 2014 at 8:32 am

Yes, and those who pay for this stupidity the most, seem to be toddlers or children.

  3. Tommy6860 November 24th, 2014 at 8:02 am

That’ll teach those potential thug rioters not to mess with an untrained gun owners. Still, this is a very sad story.

  8. Carla Akins November 24th, 2014 at 8:57 am

This is exactly why I would never buy a gun. Knowing your own limitations has value.

    • R.J. Carter November 24th, 2014 at 10:01 am

So you know if you had one, you’d wave it around Bonnie & Clyde style in your car? 🙂

      • Carla Akins November 24th, 2014 at 11:25 am

Only when I was showing off. Just as an example; I was flat ironing my hair and missed – I punched myself in the nose. Brought tears to my eyes, the whole thing……a gun, not a good idea.

  9. whatthe46 November 24th, 2014 at 8:57 am

seriously, i would have lied about how it happened and just said, i think she was suicidal. how embarrassing can that be? to think she was “protecting” herself from the mean possible protesters, and she ends up needing protection from herself. look at where the paranoia has gotten her.

    • Matt Dillon November 24th, 2014 at 9:12 am

There are reports that she was one of the protesters at one time.

  12. Pistol-Packing AKA "Susie" November 24th, 2014 at 9:38 am

I hate idiot like this… `It really does hurt those of us who really try to promote safe handling and responsible firearm ownership. SMH…

    • edmeyer_able November 24th, 2014 at 11:16 am

Do tell us what laws you support that would promote safe handling and responsible firearm ownership.

      • Pistol-Packing AKA "Susie" November 24th, 2014 at 11:59 am

I support bring education into our schools. Instead of trying to brainwash kids about being bad, teach them how to be safe. Start young. Just like we teach our kids how to put on a condom, we should be promoting Firearm safety.

Laws don’t work, because it is typically to late to matter. Education about safety is important. I dont agree with “Mandatory”, but I do agree safety training should be encouraged. Every new person who speaks to me about wanting to own a firearm, that is the first thing I stress.

What proposed laws in particular would you like to discuss to see if there is a common ground?

        • edmeyer_able November 24th, 2014 at 12:05 pm

Bringing education into schools would require a law, if a parent doesn’t want their CHILD exposed to firearms what do you propose,?
What of the millions of idiots buying guns today, you support open carry yet know nothing of the TRAINING OF THOSE DOING IT. .
this idiot would have been on the street in a manner of minutes w/no training what so ever.
All you have are nra talking points.

          • Pistol-Packing AKA "Susie" November 24th, 2014 at 12:52 pm

actually, I dont support open carry and have spoken out against it. I dont object to open carry of a pistol, but I would require that person go through the same process as a concealed carry license holder.

And as far as the Law goes about education. here is one back at you. “IF it would save just one life”….

          • M D Reese November 24th, 2014 at 12:57 pm

I know I just can’t stand to see BS posted w/o it being challenged, I doubt pp would support any measure that might infringe his GOD GIVEN RIGHT TO OWN THE MOST POWERFUL GUN ON EARTH.

Actually, I really do want to own a Bazooka.. Now only if I can get the ammo for it… Hmmm

          • M D Reese November 24th, 2014 at 3:37 pm

Of course not–and universal background checks and gun registration are SUCH a burden…

          • R.J. Carter November 24th, 2014 at 1:51 pm

So you’re for parents having a say as to what their children are exposed to in school. I can get behind that.

        • edmeyer_able November 24th, 2014 at 12:11 pm

How about mandatory safe storage of weapons?
How about mandatory liability insurance on all weapons. How about a tax on all weapons and ammunition to be paid into a fund for damages caused by careless handling and storage?
How about a safety program before purchasing a weapon, it’s mandatory in NY for hunting.

          • Pistol-Packing AKA "Susie" November 24th, 2014 at 12:49 pm

How about mandatory safe storage of weapons?
I would not say mandatory, but I would highly encourage it. I know some states have child access laws, and for the most part I agree with them. But if I have no children, and want to have my gun in my night stand next to me, there should not be a law against doing so.

How about mandatory liability insurance on all weapons.
No, this is basically a poll tax and would be very discriminative. It would mean, that only the wealthy could own firearms and it would be (Wait for it) “RACIST” towards the poor.

How about a tax on all weapons and ammunition to be paid into a fund for damages caused by careless handling and storage?
I would not be totally against it, but I would demand education be a part of this program.

How about a safety program before purchasing a weapon, it’s mandatory in NY for hunting.

We have that also in New Jersey. Understand the difference that you are now carrying a firearm in public, versus a firearm for home protection. Now if you want to make it free to all that want it, using the “Tax” fund you recommend before, I would not oppose.

          • edmeyer_able November 24th, 2014 at 12:56 pm

Yes mandatory insurance in NY on cars ensures ONLY THE WEALTHY OWN CARS…..WTF

          • Pistol-Packing AKA "Susie" November 24th, 2014 at 12:57 pm

And Cars is not a “right” And yet the poor who cant afford to own a car, dont. Why is that?

          • edmeyer_able November 24th, 2014 at 12:58 pm

Hint, it’s not the fucking mandatory insurance.

          • Pistol-Packing AKA "Susie" November 24th, 2014 at 1:48 pm

So if I own an old Jalopy, but cant afford the insurance. I can still drive it then ???

So based on your argument. Anybody who cant afford to pay the insurance, should not be allowed to own a firearm for protection…

          • edmeyer_able November 24th, 2014 at 4:07 pm

Yea I’ll go for that… sure you can own a glock or Ar/15 that sells for over 500. and 1000’s of rounds that go for a buck each but can’t afford an insurance policy that would pay for your stupidity in handling the gun. WTF

          • Pistol-Packing AKA "Susie" November 24th, 2014 at 5:49 pm

And the Granny who owns the old family shotgun to keep her safe who is on a fixed income?? Or the single mother who scraped to have a handgun with a few bullets to keep her kids safe. The minority family who is living just at poverty level and lives in a bad section of town with a lot of crime. Sorry, but your opinion is “Moo” !! just like a cows opinion, it is irrelevant.

Shall we keep going with this??

          • DD November 24th, 2014 at 2:51 pm

FYI the “poor” are not a race. Please don’t try and have an intelligent conversation with such ignorant ideologies. Responsible gun ownership should be Mandatory PERIOD!! There are many ways to do this, but it seems the “responsible” gun owners are against them all. Take for instance a man in my State of WA who was very vocal against closing the purchasing loopholes where background checks were not required at gun shows and private purchases. This past week this mans toddler was shot in the face by another toddler. This man left his gun out and loaded where this toddler could find it. Does that sound like a “responsible” gun owner to you? Some people just shouldn’t own guns.
Mandatory gun safety classes is one way to help this from happening as often as it does. Mandatory gun safes in homes with children is another. Mandatory Liability Insurance is another. Mandatory background checks for EVERY gun purchase is another like in my state. Owning a gun may be a right but it should NOT come with zero responsibilities.

I believe that our Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution as a living document. That it would be fluid and change with the times, which it has in many ways, except this one tiny part. This one part has brought us insanity here guns are concerned.

          • Pistol-Packing AKA "Susie" November 24th, 2014 at 5:06 pm

Responsible gun ownership should be Mandatory PERIOD!!

So should obeying the law, but people still dont do it.

“Mandatory gun safety classes is one way to help this from happening as often as it does.”
We would like to hope so, but no gurantee

Mandatory gun safes in homes with children is another.
You cant “MANDATE” that kind of thing. We have child access laws already in many states. Still does not change stupid.

            Mandatory Liability Insurance is another.
Haaa, another one who thinks this is realistic !!!

Mandatory background checks for EVERY gun purchase is another like in my state.
Sounds good, but not completely practical for every occasion. I594 went to far in what they wrote up. had a much better chance of it surviving the courts if it didn’t overreach.

Owning a gun may be a right but it should NOT come with zero responsibilities.

            THAT we can agree upon.

          • edmeyer_able November 24th, 2014 at 5:26 pm

Funny that there are countries that DO mandate the things YOU say can’t be done. Your arguments become more pathetic and absurd the more you post.

          • Foundryman November 24th, 2014 at 3:45 pm

Explain how you “encourage” someone to do something? Give them a sticker at purchase to wear home?

          • shulkman November 25th, 2014 at 4:16 pm

OK, how about either mandatory liability tax, or a tax on weapons/ammo, since they both basically pay into the same thing. It’s not a poll tax. You are supposed to have insurance for your vehicle. The damage caused by firearms can significantly exceed the damage from a single vehicle.

          • M D Reese November 24th, 2014 at 3:41 pm

I wouldn’t want gun handling taught in public schools at all.

          • edmeyer_able November 24th, 2014 at 4:01 pm

            Nor I.

    • Foundryman November 24th, 2014 at 11:21 am

How do we keep guns out of the hands of people who will not or cannot practice and promote safe handling?
Currently, anyone who can scratch their belly and spit at the same time can buy one.

      • Pistol-Packing AKA "Susie" November 24th, 2014 at 11:47 am

Yes, this is true. That is not something you are going to be able to change as far as a “Law” goes. What you can do, is bring back education about firearms to our communities and encourage people partake in it.

        • Foundryman November 24th, 2014 at 12:07 pm

There’s a lot of other things that can be done along with that.
          Show your safe handling certificate
Proof of ownership of a gun safe
          A solid credit rating
          Proof of employment
          No license suspensions
          No high risk insurance rates
          No OVI’s
No missed or late rent or mortgage payment
          No at fault accidents

Bottom line is, just claiming you’re responsible and have common sense isn’t good enough anymore with the number of people who think they can’t survive without a firearm. They should have to proof they are intelligent and responsible before leaving the gun store with the gun.

          • M D Reese November 24th, 2014 at 12:55 pm

Of course, at least 40% of guns aren’t purchased at venues that require any check at all.

          • Pistol-Packing AKA "Susie" November 24th, 2014 at 12:56 pm

Ohhhh please stop with the old BS story.

          • tracey marie November 24th, 2014 at 4:20 pm

25%-50% of gun sales at gun shows are “private” sales.

26,000 illegal guns were traced to sales at gun shows by private owners.

atf stings at gun shows throughout the nation showed that 94% of guns sold to them were illegal private sales or straw buyer sales.

            smartgunlaws.com and the atf gov.site

          • Pistol-Packing AKA "Susie" November 24th, 2014 at 5:07 pm

What do you think the actual percentage of Guns sold in america actually happen at a gun show ???

            Hint, It is very small.

          • tracey marie November 24th, 2014 at 5:14 pm

over 5800 gun shows yearly with an average of 2500 sold at each show that are NOT private sale. Thois does not include private sales made at other locations.

          • Pistol-Packing AKA "Susie" November 24th, 2014 at 5:58 pm

You really are fairly clueless of how many firearms are really sold each year. And while you are quoting statistics. Lets make sure we point out that less then 1% of criminals say they acquired their firearm through a gun show.

          • tracey marie November 24th, 2014 at 6:02 pm

you are a liar…this does not cover gun store sales either. Nope, you lied again with your 1%. lol, easy to research all the lies you have posted. I even gave a link, you just post lies

          • Pistol-Packing AKA "Susie" November 24th, 2014 at 6:18 pm

            Suck on this cupcake…

In contrast, a Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) report on “Firearms
Use by Offenders” found that only 0.8% of prison inmates reported
acquiring firearms used in their crimes “At a gun show,” with repeat
offenders less likely than first-time offenders to report acquiring
firearms from a retail source, gun show or flea market. This 2001 study
examined data from a 1997 Department of Justice survey of more than
18,000 federal and state prison inmates in 1,409 State prisons and 127
            Federal prisons.[11][12]
The remaining 99.2% of inmates reported obtaining firearms from other
sources, including “From a friend/family member” (36.8%), “Off the
            street/from a drug dealer” (20.9%), “From a fence/black market source”
(9.6%), “From a pawnshop,” “From a flea market,” “From the victim,” or
“In a burglary.” 9% of inmates replied “Don’t Know/Other” to the
question of where they acquired a firearm and 4.4% refused to answer.

“Very Small”?? Pretty frickin’ big from what I see. Granted, I haven’t been to one in a couple years, but I doubt they’ve shrunk. Luckily, my state of WA has decided to close the loopholes. I’ve been shooting for decades, but the NRA is now a joke, only trying to make certain that the craziest possible people / lowest common denominator of the US populace can get firearms.

            A solid credit rating
            Why ???

They all point to how responsible the person is. If that person wants to walk around Krogers with a gun, I want to make sure he doesn’t drop it and kills my kid or grand kid only to hear him say Oopsie, that was an accident! Society needs assurances you’re not an idiot with your guns, like this idiot was. Simply avoiding arrest doesn’t make you responsible.

          • Foundryman November 24th, 2014 at 3:21 pm

Meeting stricter criteria with a thorough background check with documented proof your not an idiot you can get your little gun.

All of these I listed are requirements for owning much less lethal toys than guns.

          • Pistol-Packing AKA "Susie" November 24th, 2014 at 5:08 pm

And everything you listed would be discriminatory.

          • Foundryman November 24th, 2014 at 6:14 pm

No they’re not, proving whether you have OVI arrests, bad credit, a job are common sense standards that are currently not there. You don’t even have to show if you are in the KKK or Black Panthers, those questions should be on a document that you swear to truthfully answer. If it’s shown you lied, you go to jail and lose your babies.

          • Pistol-Packing AKA "Susie" November 24th, 2014 at 6:55 pm

How does bad credit? A current Job? have anything to do with purchasing a firearm?? Please…..There is nothing “Common Sense” about them.

          • Foundryman November 24th, 2014 at 7:07 pm

Bad credit shows you’re a deadbeat that can’t trusted. No job shows you are lazy, just ask any republican, OVI arrests shows you are careless and jeopardizing other lives while driving under the influence…..
Seriously, I cannot believe I have to spell this out to you…..It’s not unreasonable at all to show that I am civically minded and responsible citizen before I buy a gun. I own several, i have all my life, I have no problem at all and in fact proud to show I am not an idiot whose going to misuse firearms.
Those who don’t want to show they are responsible, are being irresponsible…

          • M D Reese November 24th, 2014 at 6:16 pm

You’d think that responsible gun nuts like “Susie” would be ALL over that.

          • Foundryman November 24th, 2014 at 6:19 pm

Yeah I know, and that what pisses me off. Real responsible gun owners should be the ones calling for higher standards. All they want is to put more guns in more hands then “encourage” people to smarten up…..

          • M D Reese November 24th, 2014 at 6:38 pm

You would think so. I actually HAVE heard a few–very few–avid gun owners calling for tighter regulation. I have heard that even most NRA members are for universal background checks.
If you haven’t seen it, George H W Bush resigned quite publicly from the NRA and wrote an open letter:

            http://www.nytimes.com/1995/05/11/us/letter-of-resignation-sent-by-bush-to-rifle-association.html

          • edmeyer_able November 24th, 2014 at 6:40 pm

I hope you count me in that number.

          • tracey marie November 24th, 2014 at 5:59 pm

you lie…that is a universal background check.

            National crime information center
            interstate identification index
            NICS index.
these are what are used to check for the ability to own a gun

          • edmeyer_able November 24th, 2014 at 6:31 pm

Once again if you can’t see the reasoning behind it you’re being obtuse.

          • Pistol-Packing AKA "Susie" November 24th, 2014 at 6:37 pm

I can see your reasoning behind it, and I think it fails miserably and paints all gun owners with a wide paint brush. So if you want to call it obtuse, then I am being obtuse. But you are being unrealistic that if can be achieved in a practical manner.

          • edmeyer_able November 24th, 2014 at 6:39 pm

Maybe it is being unrealistic that all accidental gun injuries can be prevented but that doesn’t mean you don’t try to accomplish that goal.

          • Pistol-Packing AKA "Susie" November 24th, 2014 at 6:57 pm

And requiring mandatory liability insurance would accomplish that goal ?? Sorry, more harm then good.

And yet, I make the argument that we should promote firearm safety in our schools. And WHOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Look Out !!!

          • edmeyer_able November 24th, 2014 at 7:04 pm

You stated you don’t support laws to change the narrative and in the next breath propose a law to have some sort of forced safety training, try to keep your story (lies) consistent.

          • Pistol-Packing AKA "Susie" November 24th, 2014 at 7:51 pm

Interesting, I support education. One that you would never agree to. And yet, you bought the party line, Hook, Line, and Sinker about mandatory Gun insurance, and can see how that would be discriminatory because you could probably afford it, but for someone else who could not. Who cares…

And they say I am the obtuse one… Have a good day. We are done for the day.

      • tigerp November 24th, 2014 at 2:58 pm

        hey – I never saw that requirement~

    • M D Reese November 24th, 2014 at 6:14 pm

Actually, they typify today’s gun nut.

      • edmeyer_able November 24th, 2014 at 6:28 pm

In actuality he could give a shit about the thousands of needless deaths and injuries a year as long as he gets to keep his guns.

        • M D Reese November 24th, 2014 at 6:59 pm

That’s about it. Gun fetishism has also got a really weird sexual/religious tone to it. The whole thing creeps me out. Seems like they spend a lot of time fondling and cleaning them…

  13. R.J. Carter November 24th, 2014 at 9:58 am

“Let’s buy a guy for protection — and then play with it — in traffic!”

    • M D Reese November 24th, 2014 at 12:54 pm

      Woo Hoo! Good times!

    • M D Reese November 24th, 2014 at 6:13 pm

They could just leave the gun at home and go play in traffic as far as I’m concerned.

  14. Spirit of America November 24th, 2014 at 10:25 am

I don’t see anything hilarious w/this; I find it sad on several levels, but not funny.

    • M D Reese November 24th, 2014 at 6:12 pm

Most of us do. I know that in my case, it’s black humor. I’m essentially numb thanks to the NRA and my stupid stupid fellow citizens who eat that gun nut stuff up. I throw up a little inside my mouth when I see yet another kids with gun or killed by gun story. I just hope I can stay the hell out of the line of fire. I’d like to go in my sleep, thank you.

  15. annaaurora November 24th, 2014 at 10:26 am

Just desserts. I’m sorry but who were the good guys here Wayne?

    • M D Reese November 24th, 2014 at 12:53 pm

The gun. The gun is always the hero in these stories.

  16. Ralph November 24th, 2014 at 10:34 am

You have to pass a proficiency test to drive a car, but not to own a gun. There should be mandatory training and safety classes for gun owners so that they are not a danger to themselves or others.

    • M D Reese November 24th, 2014 at 12:52 pm

You’d think that waving a loaded gun around in a moving car would be one of the first things on the list of no-nos…

      • Ralph November 24th, 2014 at 6:05 pm

…she might have learned the proper procedure for making sure that the gun is not loaded and that the safety is on.

        • M D Reese November 24th, 2014 at 6:08 pm

You mean you don’t just buy a gun, put some bullets in it and wave it around while you drag Main St.?

    • Pistol-Packing AKA "Susie" November 24th, 2014 at 1:52 pm

Ahhhh, Just think about how many other subjects we can attach that to. Hmmm, like voting ??

      • Gilles Mickael Cochet November 24th, 2014 at 3:48 pm

Yeah, because voting is just like owning a firearm or driving a car. Any other ridiculous point?

        • edmeyer_able November 24th, 2014 at 4:00 pm

He’s always ready to change the subject when it comes to someone taking his beloved ‘children’ from him.

          • Pistol-Packing AKA "Susie" November 24th, 2014 at 5:53 pm

I dont change the subject. I like to point out the hypocrisy of so many hear. Show me, where I change the subject versus pointing out some of the lunacy.

          • edmeyer_able November 24th, 2014 at 6:25 pm

I already did, you’re too obtuse to see it.

        • Pistol-Packing AKA "Susie" November 24th, 2014 at 5:51 pm

Ahhhh, but it is. It is a responsibility. Shouldnt we make sure that everybody who votes has a Proper Id and be proficient ?? Ohhhh Noo, that would be terrible…

          • tracey marie November 24th, 2014 at 6:00 pm

voting is a right…again you lied

          • Spirit of America November 24th, 2014 at 6:26 pm

But so is owning a gun… but w/rights also comes responsibilities.

          • dvjason8 November 24th, 2014 at 6:33 pm

If we go by your standards the entire Tea Party could never vote….Their only proficiently is in lies and hate…

          • Pistol-Packing AKA "Susie" November 24th, 2014 at 6:56 pm

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA Your Funny… You make me laugh….

      • Ralph November 24th, 2014 at 6:04 pm

Driving tests and safety training have a compelling public interest, specifically the immediate safety of the public. Voting does not.

  17. Budda November 24th, 2014 at 10:42 am

Was alcohol involved? I’ll give odds on it.

  18. Mike Jolin November 24th, 2014 at 10:52 am

    Another responsible gun owner!

    • Spirit of America November 24th, 2014 at 11:20 am

      Obviously not.

  19. Foundryman November 24th, 2014 at 11:11 am

Sorry, but it wasn’t an accident! Some people have no business being near a loaded weapon, far to stupid.

    • M D Reese November 24th, 2014 at 12:51 pm

Luckily for the stupid, the NRA has made sure that being as dumb as a post is no barrier to their right to bear arms!

      • Spirit of America November 24th, 2014 at 6:32 pm

NRA has nothing to do with this in my opinion. Lack of maturity, lack of responsibility… drinking/driving, texting while driving, posting risque pics on the net, living at home just because one can… It is amazing to me.

        • M D Reese November 24th, 2014 at 6:55 pm

The NRA promotes and enables our gun-nut culture. They fight against any and every attempt to keep guns out of the hands of the stupid. They are also trying to push open-carry so we are all supposed to get used to being surrounded by armed strangers.

          • Spirit of America November 24th, 2014 at 7:57 pm

Then I’m not sure what exactly is the ‘gun nut culture’. Is owning a hand gun for the house part of it, or a hunting gun?

          • M D Reese November 25th, 2014 at 3:03 pm

            Google “gun nut”.

          • Spirit of America November 25th, 2014 at 7:59 pm

OK, I did. And if what you say is true, then you should be thanking the NRA because they are cutting down on incidents such as these. Why? Because the 1st entry for ‘gun nut’ brought up, from urban dictionary:
” A person who takes a keen interest in firearms and ammunition, possibly
including the study, peer discussion, ownership, bearing and use
            thereof”
            .
Now if she would have been a gun nut, she’d be alive because her ‘keen interest’ would have taught her not to do what she did.

  20. Cristina Bonuso November 24th, 2014 at 11:17 am

    gun culture=death

  21. R J November 24th, 2014 at 11:20 am

I have no sympathy for people like this.

  22. crc3 November 24th, 2014 at 11:28 am

Playing with real loaded guns will bite you in the ass eventually. Unfortunately it happened sooner than later for this moron…

    • edmeyer_able November 24th, 2014 at 11:51 am

Sooner is always better, less chance of hurting some innocent bystander or child in her care which was almost a certainty.

  23. DaddyO_969 November 24th, 2014 at 11:49 am

Poetic Justice. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving idiot. At least she’s out of the gene pool.

    • M D Reese November 24th, 2014 at 1:00 pm

…and didn’t take any bystanders with here. I wish they were all that considerate.

  24. tiredoftea November 24th, 2014 at 12:04 pm

“…as the couple drove late Friday night, the victim waved a gun, jokingly saying they were ready for Ferguson,…”. Yeah, guns should be easy to obtain, thanks NRA!

    • M D Reese November 24th, 2014 at 12:49 pm

We should never let these opportunities go by without a shout-out to our friends at the NRA!…

      • tiredoftea November 24th, 2014 at 1:40 pm

Yeah, I’m close to programming a function key to ease the strain of typing NRA all the time!

        • Robert Merrill Taylor November 24th, 2014 at 2:20 pm

It’s a great day to be Wayne Lapierre!

        • M D Reese November 24th, 2014 at 3:34 pm

I hear your pain. I’m kinda pissed that I can now actually spell LaPierre.

  25. rg9rts November 24th, 2014 at 12:17 pm

This is another GOOD candidate for NRA shooter of the month…took out two cars too!

  26. fedupmd November 24th, 2014 at 12:42 pm

This was a black woman. Blacks can’t get a break even when they buy a gun the right way.

    • tracey marie November 24th, 2014 at 12:53 pm

      it was a white woman

      • M D Reese November 24th, 2014 at 12:59 pm

Thanks. I hadn’t had a chance to look. It didn’t ring true that she was black.

A true My Name is Earl moment.

  28. Jones November 24th, 2014 at 1:35 pm

Sad and ironic. So many more people…and children, are killed by the guns bought for protection than are protected by them.

  29. ExPFCWintergreen November 24th, 2014 at 2:15 pm

At least she doesn’t have to worry about Ferguson anymore

  30. StoneyCurtisll November 24th, 2014 at 7:57 pm

I find the whole scenario rather suspect..

  31. Par4thecourse November 25th, 2014 at 12:50 pm

This may be the very idea of those ‘great thinkers’ in the NRA and gun right organizations./sarc/. to cut down the population.. yet that would not make much sense.. but in a way it would raise the I.Q. level in the U.S..and I am all for that

  32. Warman1138 November 26th, 2014 at 5:49 am

I wonder how many people obtaining firearms have actually been taught to handle them safely. And shouldn’t safety first supersede possession but we are in a place where logic is thrown out the window when guns are involved and accidental shootings become common fare for the news. It’s a tragedy for those that didn’t know any better and a boon for manufacturers and sellers and pundits and politicians and etc…..
