Black Man’s Body Found Shot to Death And Burned In Vicinity Of Where Michael Brown Died
The body of a black male was reportedly found near Canfield Green Apartments in Ferguson, the same complex where Michael Brown was fatally shot by officer Darren Wilson on Aug. 9th.
[su_center_ad]CBS St. Louis reports that the unidentified man, described as in his 20s, was shot to death and set on fire.
The body was found at around 9:00 a.m. in a white Pontiac car with Illinois plates which was parked in a driveway.
The driver’s side window was shot out and there are no details as to who owns the vehicle.
The investigation is being classified as a suspicious death. The cause is still under investigation.
The St. Louis County Police Department released the following statement:
“The St. Louis County Police Department is on the 9400 block of Glenn Owen in Ferguson, MO, near the intersection of Windwood and Glenn Owen.
At approximately 9 a.m. today, a citizen reported that an unresponsive man was inside a parked vehicle at that location. Responding officers discovered a deceased male inside the vehicle.
No information on the identity of the man or additional information about the man, ownership of the car or circumstances leading up to the discovery. … Detectives from the St. Louis County Crimes Against Persons are enroute to conduct the investigation.
This incident is currently being classified as a suspicious death and will remain so until evidence allows a different classification. No further information at this time.”

His name was Deandre Joshua, 20 years old, He was a witness who testified before the grand jury.. He never had any trouble with the law, he graduated high school and worked at the local Walmart. In all likelihood he was murdered by someone angry about wilson not being indicted.

Dorian Johnson and Deandre Joshua are rummored to be confidants. The theroy is Deandre was killed in a hunt for Johnson. There seems to be two main notions as to suspects and motives; snitch payback or friends of Willson.

I am not optimistic either, Ferguson PD Chief Kelly presented the killing as an “Oh by the way we found a body this morning…” Sort of sums up the local political establishment’s attitude and how things have gotten so messed-up in the first place. I fear we have not seen the last act of retribution and Dorian Johnson is no-doubt a marked man.

Monday night Richard Taylor, a resident of the now infamous Canfield apartments, says he called police about overhearing four people armed with guns talking about looting and killing someone. No cops respond to the alleged call, and next day DeAndre Joshua is found dead in his car nearby. It would be interesting to know if there is any record of this call and it’s true why no one was sent.
I believe Joshua was murdered, execution-style a single bullet to the head. His killer/s set his body on fire; that was either an attempt to destroy evidence, or to demonstrate extreme contempt, instill fear. BTW some media report Joshua was a GJ witness, although that does not appear to be the case, by most accounts I’ve seen so far. Of course his “brother,” Dorian, did testify and is now somewhere under “protection.”
