Ferguson Mayor James Knowles says his request to Governor Jay Nixon to call the National Guard to Ferguson went unheeded.

…Knowles not only said his calls (backed up by others) went “unheeded,” but slammed Nixon for not providing them enough resources to deal with the situation.

Former Mayor Brian Fletcher said Governor Nixon should resign.

He estimates that more than two dozen businesses along West Florissant and in Dellwood were either destroyed or badly damaged by fire.

Fletcher was devastated and disappointed by the response.

“It’s amazing how unprepared the governor was not having the National Guard at a moments notice as he said he would. Three months to prepare for this. He said himself, we’re preparing for the worst. Well the worst came and they weren’t prepared,” said Fletcher. [su_csky_ad]

So who is in charge? Anybody? Somebody behind the scenes with lots of money with a hidden agenda and narrative? I’m not normally one for conspiracies but this sure is starting to look like one in an obvious sort of way.

I’m with you. The Mayor says in a public announcement how terrible this whole thing is and yet, he is totally incapable of reining in HIS police force?

Well how else were the Koch’s going to buy up all that land, cheaply, to build a new jet manufacturing plant near Lambert?

Either a conspiracy or there are a lot of f’ed up “leaders” in Missouri.

The lesson out of all of this is a very old one,if you are black in America the police are free to murder you. End of story

There are multiple lessons here. If I walk up to a police car, push the door closed on the officer, and punch him in the face through the open window, I would expect to be shot. That is one lesson. The other is that police are more likely to shoot black people and that is wrong.

You forgot to mention the part where you run 140 feet away.

        • R.J. Carter November 25th, 2014 at 3:35 pm

And then turn around and run back.

So, the governor makes a big deal about his preparation for the grand jury verdict and then doesn’t have them in town? WTF!

    • FrankenPC . November 25th, 2014 at 2:52 pm

Yeah. W. T. F…. As in…what else is going on here?

      • tiredoftea November 25th, 2014 at 3:20 pm

What’s going on is preying on white fear and then confirming it by tacitly encouraging the violence. He got the verdict he wanted.

        • FrankenPC . November 25th, 2014 at 3:25 pm

That’s what I was thinking…but I didn’t want to verbalize it because it sounds like a conspiracy theory.

Well, great. Now don’t I feel like Mel Gibson stalking Julia Roberts.

Apparently they were only there to protect him during his speech.

And I thought they were just there for the photo-op.

Especially since the gov declared a pre-emptive state of emergency, asking the federal gov for help.

      Bad policy all around.

This just proves that you can not count on law enforcement to be there to protect you or your things. That it is a individual’s responsibility to protect them self.

Age old saying, when Seconds count, police are minutes away. And in this case, not even there.

From what I heard the National Guard was busy protecting the local “white” neighborhoods.
