Red State contributing editor Ben Howe took to his Twitter account to weigh in on the Grand Jury’s decision to not indict Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson after shooting down unarmed teenager Michael Brown.

[su_center_ad]Also, Howe wants you to know that he’s a tough guy.

Talking Points Memo reports, ‘The conservative editor’s takeaway on Wednesday was brief but clear: He tweeted that, if he were in Wilson’s position, he would have “shot Mike Brown right in his face.”‘

That didn’t go over well on Twitter, so he doubled down and acted like more of a jerk.

It went over as well as you’d expect.

The bully is taking a well deserved beating on Twitter. “Give me a gun” he wrote. I’ll pass, mmkay?[su_csky_ad]

Is there intelligent life on earth?

Well if he really wants to shoot someone why doesn’t he follow that nice man in floriduh who was preparing to shoot one of his wife’s pups and do himself in.

      With 13 constantly yapping Shelties..
      I might go nuts too…:)

  3. OldLefty November 28th, 2014 at 1:58 pm

That’s the kind of statement meant to get clicks, and nothing else.

  4. Anomaly 100 November 28th, 2014 at 2:15 pm

Just to let you know, Howe tweeted me to say that’s totally not what he meant when he said he’d shoot Michael Brown in the face. Or something.

    • tiredoftea November 28th, 2014 at 3:03 pm

Oh? What, he meant to say that he’s sad that the subhuman known as Wilson didn’t shoot Mr. Brown in the face?

      • Anomaly 100 November 28th, 2014 at 3:30 pm

No telling really. We had quite a back-and-forth on this topic. I still can’t make sense of it.

        • Larry Schmitt November 28th, 2014 at 3:35 pm

How exactly does “I would have shot Mike Brown right in his face” get misinterpreted?

          • Anomaly 100 November 28th, 2014 at 3:44 pm

Well you see….meh, I got nothin’!

        • tiredoftea November 28th, 2014 at 4:00 pm

As if that guy ever makes sense?

          • Anomaly 100 November 28th, 2014 at 4:18 pm

Apparently not. I was hoping for a better dialogue. He wasn’t awful, but his points were skewed.

    • arc99 November 28th, 2014 at 4:49 pm

A year or so ago, there was a campaign to raise money to cover care and support for his children while he was gravely ill and unable to work even as a columnist. The response crossed all ideological lines and there was even a blurb at which suggested making a contribution. I made one myself.

I had hoped that this display of non partisan human kindness would somehow temper his virulent hostility towards any opposing ideas. Clearly it did not. I feel like trying to get my money back.

      • Anomaly 100 November 28th, 2014 at 5:26 pm

That was awfully nice of you. I probably would have donated, too.

      • allison1050 November 28th, 2014 at 7:06 pm

        Send the ass a tweet.

      • John Jennette December 3rd, 2014 at 1:51 am

So….you gave to get something back….that doesn’t sound like care and concern it sounds more like a business deal.Dont you people see the man is just stirring the pot to get responses?Even if he ment what he said so what? Where is all that acceptance of diversity and valuing other, different, opinions I keep hearing about from the left.Much of this sounds exactly like the vitriolic far right.

    • StoneyCurtisll November 28th, 2014 at 5:43 pm

If it was in a ‘tweet”, it must be real and….
      From the heart….

He must be one of those non racist right wingers I keep on hearing about. As I keep on pointing out all right wingers are violent racist.

  6. eyelashviper November 28th, 2014 at 2:45 pm

He would have shot him in the face, only because his back was not turned, which is the preferred target area for those of his ilk.

    • epazote November 28th, 2014 at 7:18 pm

All these white supemacists appear to missing a chromosome. or two.

  7. BeauDCrab November 28th, 2014 at 5:21 pm

Most people in Wilson’s position would do as Howe would.

Howe is rare in that he admits it publicly.

    • StoneyCurtisll November 28th, 2014 at 5:41 pm

      “most people” you say…
Are those the same “some people” we keep hearing about?

    • edmeyer_able November 28th, 2014 at 5:49 pm

Wrong “most people” would see that killing Mike was NOT warranted.

      • John Jennette November 28th, 2014 at 9:30 pm

please define “most people” and give your source of data.OR do you mean I think the killing was not warrnted OR cant you say what YOU mean straight up.

Those in the human race with a conscience…..look it up

          • John Jennette December 3rd, 2014 at 1:43 am

ok give it up.Rational discussion is not likely to occur with you two….just emotional reactivity. You really don’t seem to know what you don’t know.Having suffered from the same condition before working as a therapist in a max security prison guess I should be a bit more understanding. One of the biggest things working there taught me was my not recognizing a reality, like in the Ferguson situation, put me and others at serious risk of harm or even death. My lack of willingness to see a very unpleasant reality in fact did put a few officers and inmates at risk once. That taught me to learn a bit more. One of the people who taught me was doing life but he didn’t see any enemy just someone he could enlighten a bit. That was more than 20 yrs ago and I’m still gratefull for what he taught me….who would have thought they would learn from a murderer doing life?
Go ride along with a few cops in a tough area or talk to a friend/relative who is a cop and see what and why they hold a viewpoint different than yours.Do volunteer work with convicts or addicts….they will enlighten you if you listen without prejudging what they have to say.

          • rg9rts December 3rd, 2014 at 1:50 am

Then you know we have a pill for you…don’t you …..I’m tired of clowns like you crying boogieman ….look under your bed for commies too. I’ll bet LOL

        • edmeyer_able November 29th, 2014 at 12:38 pm

Most people as in those with a cerebral cortex and a limbic system as opposed to those with nothing but brain stem.

    • allison1050 November 28th, 2014 at 7:04 pm

      What’s your source sweetie?

    • fancypants November 29th, 2014 at 1:35 am

because pepper spray wouldn’t get Wilson tv gigs that pay him 500 grand

  8. StoneyCurtisll November 28th, 2014 at 5:39 pm

    Ben Howe:..
“Give me a gun. Put me in Darren Wilson’s shoes. I’d have shot Mike Brown right in his face.”

I guess shooting Mike Brown in the top of the head wasn’t good enough for Ben Howe. (he would have killed him better)?

    • allison1050 November 28th, 2014 at 7:03 pm

He wouldn’t do a damned thing. He’s all talk and probably never even had a grade school fight.

  9. Obewon November 28th, 2014 at 8:17 pm

“Hands up”-Red State wussies advocate Murder of unarmed teens with hands raised above their head, exactly as Klansman Wilson’s shift supervisor Sergeant testified.

  10. fancypants November 28th, 2014 at 8:46 pm

Give me a gun. Put me in Darren Wilson’s shoes. I’d have shot Mike Brown right in his face.
this is real easy…what stupid fool would give your psycho ass a gun then go to jail with you

    • Obewon November 28th, 2014 at 8:57 pm

Exactly! Red State contributing editor Ben Howe is talking about a teabagging climax.

  11. Dave Lanson November 29th, 2014 at 2:47 am

I have a feeling if you gave this guy a gun, put him in front of any black person, he’d be perfectly happy to shoot that person in the face.

  12. rg9rts November 29th, 2014 at 4:25 am

He might make sport of it by giving him a running start.

  13. AKRNC December 4th, 2014 at 5:33 am

I’d like to see this racist MF’er say these things in front of a diverse crowd and without a gun in his hand. Responsible gun owners find this type of speech despicable.
