[su_right_ad]The Pennsylvania woman chased her boyfriend around the dining room with a knife before plunging it into his chest.

Authorities say Jacklyn Blake confessed to officers who responded to her Wilkes-Barre…home Thursday. Officers found her boyfriend inside holding a towel over his chest. He was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 47-year-old Blake is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, simple assault, reckless endangerment and making terroristic threats. It wasn’t clear if she has a lawyer.

According to police, Blake’s boyfriend says she’d been drunk earlier in the day and attacked him after waking up from a nap. He says she stabbed him and then threw the knife, striking him just below the left eye.[su_csky_ad]

That’s right! when your spouse is drunk on their ass and sleeping it off, don’t dare go ahead and eat. How selfish! (snark–when I was a kid, “Santa” was often too drunk to put the presents out and had to sleep it off until later. I had to try to console my much-younger brothers until they (santa) woke up. Gee–maybe that’s part of why xmas is my LEAST favorite holiday.)

IKR? Too many people thinking only of themselves and eating without the drunken spouse.

I know from experience that just about everything pisses off a drunken spouse–or in my case parent.

Both. I wonder if it was a carving set fork or just a ho-hum everyday table fork.

Just curious about a legal term used here. “Simple assault?” There doesn’t seem to be anything simple about this case. What does the law consider to be complicated assault?

    • StoneyCurtisll November 29th, 2014 at 10:05 am

I’m not so sure about the “simple” part…
Blake (the fork wielding stabber) is charged with aggravated assault
with a deadly weapon, simple assault, reckless endangerment and making terrorist threats…
      Isn’t love wonderful?

    • StoneyCurtisll November 29th, 2014 at 10:09 am

      Simple assault…
      Punch, slap, shove, touching…
Even grabbing a ticket out of a cops hand, and if you ‘touch” him can be construed as an assault…
      It only requires contact.

At least no one was shot…(good thing it wasn’t in Texas)

    • Larry Schmitt November 29th, 2014 at 10:03 am

I suppose in Texas they shoot the turkey into slices. No knife needed.

Ya know, this takes the term “carving the turkey” to a whole new level? Was she after the light meat or the dark meat? And which turkey neck was she trying to cut??? C’mon, inquiring sociopaths want to know…
