[su_right_ad]Jesse Lee Peterson says Michael Brown’s parents should be “shunned” for failing to “raise a decent citizen.”

“I may be the only one in America who does not grieve for Michael Brown’s parents,” Peterson told Newsmax host Steve Malzberg yesterday. “The reality is Michael Brown is dead because of Michael Brown. It’s not officer Darrell Wilson’s fault.”

Peterson went on to blame Brown’s parents, who he said should be “shunned” because they “failed to raise a decent citizen”:

“Also, his parents are hypocrites because, first of all, they didn’t raise Michael Brown in the right way. They failed him. They failed to raise a decent citizen. And so they’re partly responsible for the death of Michael Brown as well. And I have to tell you, the way the president, the attorney general, and these so-called civil rights leaders are carrying on is shameful. Michael Brown’s parents should be shunned, they should be made to feel embarrassed for the way that they raised, that they raised their son.”

“I may be the only one in America who does not grieve for Michael Brown’s parents”

So, he’s framing the dialog so it appears like he’s a rebel. He’s the only one who has the “courage” to stand against the tide of “ignorance”. This is Rove engineering at its finest. Feint, re-frame, attack. NEVER verbalize the actual issue.

    • OldLefty December 2nd, 2014 at 3:10 pm

      Agreed.

Basically, he is one of many who has the courage to tell his niche audience EXACTLY what they want to hear.

      • Larry Schmitt December 2nd, 2014 at 3:27 pm

Talk about niche audience. How many black people watch Newsmax?

        • OldLefty December 2nd, 2014 at 3:30 pm

I don’t think that black people make up his intended audience.

        • Suzanne McFly December 2nd, 2014 at 5:26 pm

How many people with a brain cell watch Newsmax?

  3. mea_mark December 2nd, 2014 at 3:15 pm

What about Wilson’s parents? They raised someone who gunned down an unarmed person in the middle of the street in broad daylight. Wilson showed a complete lack of compassion and very little understanding of what was going on.

    • Chris Evans December 2nd, 2014 at 3:19 pm

But Wilson has one thing different about Brown.
He’s white. And thanks to white privilege, that’s the only thing he needs.

      • mea_mark December 2nd, 2014 at 3:42 pm

All the more reason to ask the hard questions.

      • StoneyCurtisll December 2nd, 2014 at 3:54 pm

Wilson also had ‘the badge’ and a gun and the backing of centuries of support from the ‘law and order’ crowd.

Jesse Lee Peterson is a waste of air.

  7. crc3 December 2nd, 2014 at 3:25 pm

Peterson has it all wrong. It was HIS parents that raised him wrong. He’s a rude lying scumbag. It angers me that people like him get paid massive amounts of money for spreading hate and lies…

  8. Larry Schmitt December 2nd, 2014 at 3:26 pm

Must be nice to be so perfect, that you feel you have the right to judge everyone.

  9. tracey marie December 2nd, 2014 at 3:30 pm

lol, he thanked white people for slavery, otherwise we would not be in America. He said slave ships were no worse then crowded airplanes. He also writes for WND, says Katrina blacks are welfare pampered. He was raised till his late teens by his grandparents because his parents divorced and both moved out of state without him to remarry and start new families…He has issues

    • StoneyCurtisll December 2nd, 2014 at 3:31 pm

      High Five~!

      great comment.

      • tracey marie December 2nd, 2014 at 3:34 pm

It amazing me how some adults never grow up and let go of their hate and self loathing

    • Khary A December 2nd, 2014 at 3:44 pm

Could it be that they saw that their kid was a heaping steaming pile a dog crap and made the wise choice to leave him with people that would most likely die soon? So as they don’t have to suffer too much.

      • tracey marie December 2nd, 2014 at 3:47 pm

he is projecting his childish anger at his parents towards all black people. Hell, this idipot writes pieces for WND and calls hannity friend.

        • Khary A December 2nd, 2014 at 3:54 pm

I saw that, You know Tracey with this news my heart feels light today. It’s a rare thing when one finds an enemy worth the time to see their works undone. This kind of thing gives one…purpose. I can’t combat a whole system of injustices and degradation but I can focus my more choleric humours on this treacherous swine.

          • tracey marie December 2nd, 2014 at 4:18 pm

        you nailed it M D

          These guys amaze me…

  10. Khary A December 2nd, 2014 at 3:31 pm

No matter which way you think the verdict of the trial went one should NEVER glorify the death of a youth nor should anyone go around telling others that a grieving parent should be shunned. Because I have almost no moral compass mainly because morality is another word for cowardice I’ll say the following…Jesse Lee Peterson I sincerely hope a loved one of yours passes violently and forgotten. I hope afterwards you feel the loss every passing moment of the day. I hope food tastes less brilliant knowing they are gone and the memory of their warmth brings no succor.I hope you learn that their affections for you were false so as you feel the lie of your love with every breath. Maybe then you’ll learn the value of silence and grace to the bereaved.

Where do they find these guys?

    • Khary A December 2nd, 2014 at 3:57 pm

Churches, at least in his case. He for one believes in the mark of cain and other such foolishness.

      • M D Reese December 2nd, 2014 at 3:58 pm

        Sick.

      • R.J. Carter December 2nd, 2014 at 5:18 pm

The mark of Cain in what way? (Please don’t say he thinks that’s what made black people black.)

        • Khary A December 2nd, 2014 at 5:31 pm

ding ding ding!! that’s exactly what I’m saying. Looking into this “mans” life and thought patterns, he’s been made to believe that lie that we are a curse people. His Gratefulness to the slave trade speaks volumes on the “mark of Cain” belief. This sorry example would gladly live on his knees than die on his feet or the third option get out of that cycle and have true gene-sovereignty. His cowardice is suffused in almost every part of his being and its sickening to look at. Instead of standing with his gene-kin or at least stepping aside he wantonly sides with those who would see his own kept in bondage and their supporters cast down. He is the worst kind of enemy, the traitor.

          • R.J. Carter December 2nd, 2014 at 5:40 pm

Huh. You’d think that whole “Noah” thing would put a crimp in that particular theory.

          • Khary A December 2nd, 2014 at 5:43 pm

There is no reasoning or reason in this broken man. I think Frederick Douglas kinda said something about that huh?

          • jasperjava December 2nd, 2014 at 7:30 pm

According to white supremacist theology, the mark of Cain survived through the sons of Ham.

          • R.J. Carter December 3rd, 2014 at 9:37 am

But that would have to mean that Noah descended from Cain. He didn’t, he descended from Seth. (My 98th g-gf,btw)

          • jasperjava December 3rd, 2014 at 9:47 am

The deal is that the sons of Ham inherited the mark of Cain from Ham’s wife.

I feel like I’m discussing the minutiae of a fairy tale. It’s frightening that millions of people take this to be literally true, and use it to justify their petty hatreds.

Keep on pushing the crazy train off the tracks, it is almost as if these morons are trying to trump the last moron simply by saying something even crazier and don’t just say one thing, they will say as many things possible, they have that microphone in front of them, they figure keep the craziness spewing for as long as they can.

    • whatthe46 December 2nd, 2014 at 5:52 pm

He’s a racist wet dream. So pathetic that he doesn’t give a sh’t that
this has gone on to be much more than Michael Brown. Sounds like the type of fk’n coward that was likely hiding in his
momma’s closet during the civil rights marches or someone who took advantage of
affirmative action and now can give a sh’t about anyone else and their
      continued struggles with racism. A&&wipe.

    • neworleans878 December 2nd, 2014 at 6:08 pm

      Craziness = Ratings.

      Ratings = $$$$.

The Right Wing media money machine formula.

Problem is that their audience are like junkies…they need more and more to get high. And like any good dope dealer, the R.W. media is ready to deliver…no matter who or what it damages.

    • M D Reese December 2nd, 2014 at 6:29 pm

The reality is that it isn’t even about Michael Brown anymore. It’s about young black men all across the country who are stalked, harassed, beaten and shot by the police.

      • greenfloyd December 3rd, 2014 at 4:28 am

You are right, it’s gone way beyond Michael Brown. It’s about too many kids growing up in gangsta-culture, where crime and violence are the norm. Injustice breeds contempt for the law and it’s been going on so long now places like the Canfield Greens in Ferguson, as just one example, have essentially become lawless, ruled by thugs and drugs and guns.

          how so?

    • arc99 December 2nd, 2014 at 9:16 pm

In a better world, there would be a good black role model family who valued hard work and education. They would be people with humble beginnings who achieved and excelled through discipline and perseverance. They would speak proper English and attend some of the finest schools in the country. They would also be devoted to their families as parents and spouses. What an example they would set for everyone, regardless of politics.

Oh wait. We have just such a family living at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW Washington DC 20500. Right wingers still refer to the President as a “thug” and to the First Lady with all manner of vile ad hominems.

So cut the bullsh*t. Right wing haters will always have an excuse to hate, and I suspect you are no exception.

Are the regulars in this forum delusional? It is not for me to say. I will only say that none of us are delusional enough to believe the crap you just posted.

      • jaxpsych December 3rd, 2014 at 3:20 am

Actually I do remember a time when black men respected themselves, their wives and children. They generally worked hard to take care of their families. The insanity of the welfare state which wouldn’t allow help if a father lived there and the flood of drugs destroyed all that.Even the vicious racism of the times didn’t stop those men from taking care of their families and, having doctors, teachers, and business people in their neighborhoodsThe neighborhoods were alive then not just the shooting gallaries of today.

      • Susan Beatrice Karimchise December 3rd, 2014 at 10:52 am

“Are the regulars in this forum delusional?”
Sadly; judging by the comments I read, I would say yes.
A man gets beat to death with hammers in St Louis and nobody says anything,
        Where is the outrage?
Where are the people burning down their own neighborhoods?
Where are the people looting their own neighborhood stores?
Maybe they just have more common sense.
