Man Who Killed 14-Year-Old Pregnant Girlfriend Asks For Just Community Service

After confessing to killing Shaniesha Forbes in January 2013, Christian Ferdinand, 22, asked cops, “Do you think I can get some kind of community service?” according to documents obtained by The Post.
A Brooklyn jury took just an hour Monday to find Ferdinand guilty of murder for the heinous crime — ensuring that he now faces up to 25 years to life behind bars…
He doused her corpse with Axe body spray and then used a Bic lighter to char her body before stuffing it in a suitcase and tossing it into Gerritsen Bay, court papers state.
“The defendant hoped that the saltwater would destroy any evidence the flames didn’t,’’ prosecutor Robert Walsh said in closing arguments…
Ferdinand said Forbes had told him she was pregnant in a text and warned him that she wouldn’t get an abortion because her mom is religious, the documents say.

why do you somehow doubt it? do you know anything more about the girls family? teens know how to keep a lot to themselves. and if she’s not lying when she says she can’t abort because the parents are religious, then i doubt they would have aproved of a grown man with their child.

I agree. As Susie said already, no parent would give permission for that kind of thing. Which means she was doing it without permission. It’s not like teenagers have never done something without their parents’ knowledge.

With some 14 and 15 year old girls looking like they are 18 to 20, and have already developed sexually, this isn’t as surprising as you’d think. Way back in the 60’s I knew of a couple of 15 year olds that were fooling around sexually. Maybe not full intercourse, but darn close. There are 9 year olds getting pregnant.

From what I understand, many of these new mothers return to school while her parents care (sometimes state subsidized) for the child/children. It’s quite common where I live.
How times have changed. When I was in high school, girls bragged about their boyfriends. Now the girls brag about their children.
