Texas School Official Posts KKK Image On Facebook, ‘I’m Dreaming Of A White Christmas’
A Texas school board member posted an image of a Klu Klux Klan member standing with his hands folded along with the words, “I’m dreaming of a white Christmas” emblazoned on the image. But he insists that he’s not a racist and we totally believe him.
[su_center_ad] The post was sent out by Hooks Independent School District board member Chris Harris, according to ArkLaTex.
This is the totally not racist KKK sympathizer:
“News travels fast and you have to be careful, because it can do a lot of damage to you and others,” Hooks ISD Superintendent Ronnie Thompson said. “People can get into trouble quickly.”
Harris began to apologize for the post after it was criticized.
Harris said he realizes his post was inappropriate and offended people.
Wait for it. He continued to say he’s deeply sorry and not a racist.
Superintendent Thompson said Harris’ future with the school district will be up to the other school board members.
“They govern me. That is who I answer to,” Thompson said. “They govern each other. It is in their hands.”
According to Thompson, if they don’t have a resignation letter from Harris prior to a meeting scheduled on December 15th, they will vote on whether or not he should be fired.

got a good idea for Holiday costumes for the Klan. Multi colored flashing LEDs embedded in the cone, with a big red blinking light on top. Then they could rent out to various inner city festivities for the Holidays – like moving targets – or ‘white boyz kan run!’ Holiday Special. Would also make good manure filled pinata’s for south of the border fun! Drag ’em across the corn fields while you beat the fertilizer out of ’em.

There is a lot of progressives in Texas. I am one. The problem is the gerrymandering, and the voter suppression. It took me almost 2 years to get my driver’s license after it expired. I registered to vote at the same time, with the same documents. My voter’s registration never came to my address, They used an old address. I still have not gotten it straightened out. It has been a year…

As a longtime friend who grew up with Chris, I can tell you that this was a terrible, terrible mistake, but it does not reflect his true views and values as a man. I stand by my friend. I judge him by the content of his character, which can be easily misjudged by his recent actions. We seek healing for the hurt he has cause our community. I hope that we can get past this display of poor judgement.
