A Texas school board member posted an image of a Klu Klux Klan member standing with his hands folded along with the words, “I’m dreaming of a white Christmas” emblazoned on the image. But he insists that he’s not a racist and we totally believe him.

[su_center_ad] The post was sent out by Hooks Independent School District board member Chris Harris, according to ArkLaTex.

This is the totally not racist KKK sympathizer:

“News travels fast and you have to be careful, because it can do a lot of damage to you and others,” Hooks ISD Superintendent Ronnie Thompson said. “People can get into trouble quickly.”

Harris began to apologize for the post after it was criticized.

Harris said he realizes his post was inappropriate and offended people.

Wait for it. He continued to say he’s deeply sorry and not a racist.

Superintendent Thompson said Harris’ future with the school district will be up to the other school board members.

“They govern me. That is who I answer to,” Thompson said. “They govern each other. It is in their hands.”

According to Thompson, if they don’t have a resignation letter from Harris prior to a meeting scheduled on December 15th,  they will vote on whether or not he should be fired.

He’s lining up all his black friends now to appear for him at the meeting on the 15th.

So a broom with a black balloon tied to it and a cut out of Charles Barkley he had when he was young..OR actually Charles Barkley.

      • tiredoftea December 2nd, 2014 at 8:01 pm

Charles would show up for Rick Perry, not this guy. No juice there with a small time school board member.

    • granpa.usthai December 2nd, 2014 at 4:46 pm

He could always get Gohmert to appear in full dress to explain the humor. Klan rallies always have a comedy moment before the actual ‘burn it down’ rhetorical hate filled ‘master race’ BS.

like his housekeeper? that only ONE

      • tiredoftea December 2nd, 2014 at 7:59 pm

She only cleans his single wide yearly, so not likely to be able to make it by the 15th.

got a good idea for Holiday costumes for the Klan. Multi colored flashing LEDs embedded in the cone, with a big red blinking light on top. Then they could rent out to various inner city festivities for the Holidays – like moving targets – or ‘white boyz kan run!’ Holiday Special. Would also make good manure filled pinata’s for south of the border fun! Drag ’em across the corn fields while you beat the fertilizer out of ’em.

I think they change their hoods to green this time of year, and put a star atop the point.

    • bhil December 2nd, 2014 at 5:41 pm

Boyz in the Hood! New version.

  3. R.J. Carter December 2nd, 2014 at 4:39 pm

I have the counter image for that!

    • neworleans878 December 2nd, 2014 at 6:20 pm

Thanks, R.J. Needed that after a frustrating day. 🙂

      Diahann Carroll – WOW!

  4. pauly December 2nd, 2014 at 4:54 pm

“But I’m not racist”. Which is one of 2 way to go. He COULD
have given a non-apology like; “IF I offended anybody THEN I apologies.” Which
is an offhanded way of telling somebody to get thicker skin.

  5. ExPFCWintergreen December 2nd, 2014 at 5:31 pm

“I’m sorry some were offended. Everyone who knows me knows I’m not a racist and don’t have a single thing in the world against jigab**s, c**ns, or n*ggers. Heck, I even work with some, and we get along fine. It’s too bad that in this politically correct era a feller can’t simply express his white pride.”

He will come back and claim he prayed on his words with his family and his minister said he was forgiven, he hopes the school board and the black students he is hired to “educate in the best manner possible” will forgive him and try to understand what he actually meant.

    • Larry Schmitt December 2nd, 2014 at 5:37 pm

You forgot the phrase “if I offended anyone.” That has to be in there somewhere, to prove they have no sense of what they actually said. It’s essential to a non-apology apology.

    • ExPFCWintergreen December 2nd, 2014 at 6:01 pm

“to express an inner frustration” – translation: I hate how that n*gger in the White House is giving away all my hard-earned money to no-account illegals and Negro welfare queens

“I love all of God’s creation” – translation: there must be some reason for the blight of mud-people He put on this planet

“Our nation has enough divide and racial tension” – translation: it’s Obama’s fault (Mark Levin said so)

“I have contributed to an already divide [sic] nation” – translation: I’m on the school board but still don’t understand verb tenses

“I have consulted with my friends and family” – translation: everyone wrote #facepalm in the comments section of my Facebook

“my good friend and advisor Leroy Dodd” – translation: see, I told you I wasn’t a racist! I have a good friend who’s a black guy — and his name is even Leroy!

“God Bless” – translation: I got “God” in there twice, which proves how godly I am

He met all required bases to cover the text book racist who is trying to claim he is not a racist. There are so many things wrong with that letter, but nothing out of the ordinary.

  7. rg9rts December 2nd, 2014 at 5:41 pm

This is the type of clown that helps determine what is in the text books your child uses.

  8. Republicans_are_Evil December 2nd, 2014 at 6:46 pm

This is how to deal with right wing racism. One at a time, we fire them from their jobs. Next we need to get them locked up on prison cells as domestic terrorists.

    • tracey marie December 2nd, 2014 at 8:21 pm

right now a teacher is being fired for racism and kkk garbage in texas

      • Republicans_are_Evil December 2nd, 2014 at 9:05 pm

One by one, we will clean this country up.

        • tracey marie December 2nd, 2014 at 9:06 pm

we will indeed. I do believe the country has awoken from it’s ennui and is ready to stop all the nonsense

          • Republicans_are_Evil December 2nd, 2014 at 9:09 pm

We don’t have any choice. They are threatening civil war.

          • tracey marie December 2nd, 2014 at 9:10 pm

True, I never could understand all this irrational race based hate and fear. It turns my stomach

          • Republicans_are_Evil December 2nd, 2014 at 9:12 pm

The left has been far too tolerant for far too long. We can’t afford to tolerate right wing hate any longer.

          • tracey marie December 2nd, 2014 at 9:14 pm

No more is correct. The left allowed the hate and racism to go on unchallenged. No more

          • Republicans_are_Evil December 2nd, 2014 at 10:19 pm

            I call it “Zero Tolerance”.

          • tracey marie December 2nd, 2014 at 10:20 pm

            I call it NO MORE!

          • Republicans_are_Evil December 2nd, 2014 at 10:23 pm

            Times, they are changing.

  9. Hirightnow December 2nd, 2014 at 7:10 pm

Maybe not a racist (BIG maybe), but definitely an idiot.

Idiots shouldn’t be involved in educating children.

  10. joynlife December 2nd, 2014 at 7:18 pm

He may have removed the KKK photo, but there is still a lot of
inappropriate pics on his facebook page. A person on the school board
should not have pics of President Bush shooting the finger, or a man
drinking out of a penis shaped fountain, etc…

    • Anomaly 100 December 2nd, 2014 at 7:48 pm

His images just scream Tea Party!

There is a lot of progressives in Texas. I am one. The problem is the gerrymandering, and the voter suppression. It took me almost 2 years to get my driver’s license after it expired. I registered to vote at the same time, with the same documents. My voter’s registration never came to my address, They used an old address. I still have not gotten it straightened out. It has been a year…

          • tracey marie December 2nd, 2014 at 9:24 pm

I live in Texas, it was a joke.

          • tracey marie December 2nd, 2014 at 9:25 pm

all you have to do is reregister at the election headquarters or go to your local dem/repub office. Fill the card out get it signed and you will be good.

          • tracey marie December 2nd, 2014 at 9:28 pm

Tell me where you live and I will tell you where to get your voters registration done. You can also look online for the closet electoral head quarters and get it handled there.

    • tracey marie December 2nd, 2014 at 8:20 pm

      no longer available.

      A school official? He’s illiterate.

    • CHOCOL8MILK December 4th, 2014 at 2:59 pm

There’s a penis shaped fountain? Cool.

  11. lewisjm December 2nd, 2014 at 10:36 pm

Well, I bet he stays and gets a raise
No surprise there, it’s what they do
But one thing they forget – the south is mot go oing to rise again and folks are no longer afraid of the Klu Klux Cops. Perhaps a race war is inevitable after all. RESIGN!

    • Republicans_are_Evil December 2nd, 2014 at 10:40 pm

It would be the weirdest race war ever, because so many whites would stand shoulder to shoulder with blacks. The only way you would be able to tell the two sides apart is there will be no blacks on one side.

As a longtime friend who grew up with Chris, I can tell you that this was a terrible, terrible mistake, but it does not reflect his true views and values as a man. I stand by my friend. I judge him by the content of his character, which can be easily misjudged by his recent actions. We seek healing for the hurt he has cause our community. I hope that we can get past this display of poor judgement.

    • Simeon Namore December 3rd, 2014 at 9:21 am

This may not represent his true feelings–but he must be stupid as a post. Too stupid to sit on any school board.

      • Nicholas Russell Harris December 3rd, 2014 at 9:30 am

If nothing else he proved he is an ignorant fool, and that he should not be allowed to spread his toxic ideals to children. I say remove the Ku Klux Koward from power lest he corrupt children with his hatred.

  13. PerryStL December 3rd, 2014 at 10:12 am

I’ll bet that he’s either a member of the Tea Party, or a member of the Tea Party.
