The head of the Catholic League went off on the non-religious on Steve Malzberg’s radio show on Newsmax.

“They believe that freedom is license to do whatever they want,” the Catholic League president explained. “They don’t want to be told anything, which is why they die prematurely, they’re unhappy, that’s why we have a disproportionate number of agnostics and atheists in the asylum, all of this is true.”

Donohue said “secularists” have an inferior “mental health, physical health and degree of happiness,” adding: “They got to work it out, fine, I’ll help pay for their therapy, just take your hands, your mitts off the Catholics during Christmas.”[su_center_ad]

    Hey Bill,

Kiss my entire ass and Merry Merry F^%K you, you easter egg, penguin lookin’ mutha-fucka. I bet the back of your neck looks like a pack of hotdogs. Next time i need an examination of my mental and physical health I’ll look to people who value real things like science and anatomy as opposed to whatever nonsense you’re espousing.

how very well said Monsieur K.

    • StoneyCurtisll December 6th, 2014 at 12:08 am

      I share your sentiment.

  2. Suzanne McFly December 5th, 2014 at 4:35 pm

I would like a citation of his “facts”. Where has he seen it listed that “non-believers” die prematurely or are unhappy. I am a spiritual person and I believe Jesus died for my sins and I know this means I believe in impossible occurrences as does Donohue and he has the nerve to question others? Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones buddy.

    • Khary A December 5th, 2014 at 4:36 pm

      YEAH! what she said!!

  3. cecilia December 5th, 2014 at 4:39 pm

has this guy looked in a mirror lately?? He’s far from “healthy”. More like 5 minutes from a massive heart attack.

and considering how often he bitches about various perceived attacks on his dopey religion he sounds miserable.

He’s obviously projecting his unhappy life onto those of us who insist on being rational.

  4. Dwendt44 December 5th, 2014 at 4:49 pm

Believing in imaginary beings is somehow sane? I suppose, when you insane like Donohue, all the sane people look crazy.

  6. Foundryman December 5th, 2014 at 6:27 pm

The guy needs to loosen that collar up and let some of the air out.

    • MarcoZandrini December 5th, 2014 at 9:57 pm

If he did that there’d be a rumpled pile of clothes on the floor!

  7. tiredoftea December 5th, 2014 at 6:32 pm

Says the crazy guy to the crazy guy to the crazy people who watch Newmax.

  8. neworleans878 December 5th, 2014 at 6:55 pm

Don’t project onto others what you see in the mirror every day, Billy.

ps…Didn’t Jesus say something about those without sin casting stones? I’m sure it’s in the Good Book somewhere…

  9. arc99 December 5th, 2014 at 7:53 pm

So non-religious people are probably insane.

But people who believe mankind’s destiny was determined by a talking snake tempting the only two people on earth, one of whom came from the rib of the other, in an enchanted garden are not?

    Seriously?

  10. Jake December 5th, 2014 at 8:24 pm

Gotta love being branded as insane by the best friend a paedophile could ever have – the godfather of child-rape Bill Donohue.

  11. Obewon December 5th, 2014 at 9:58 pm

The one guy Catholic League Donohue like most all of today’s faux cons, exclusively project their own psychosis falsely upon others. Evilangelical G.W. Bush blames God: ‘God told me to invade Iraq’-GWB. Even though Iraq had no WMD’s and never attacked the USA.

Who could forget these delusional disorder psychotics? “God told me to run for President”-Romney, Bachmann, Palin, Perry, Huckabee, Santorum, Pizza Man Herman Cain and Birther Ben Carson! Nutcases dejour until 2016~

  12. tracey marie December 5th, 2014 at 10:45 pm

Because talking snakes, men with wings and virgin births is so sane and believable

    • HessenBalkan December 12th, 2014 at 3:48 pm

      wait….you are saying snakes can’t talk???? 🙂

      • tracey marie December 12th, 2014 at 3:52 pm

you know, that whole apple of knowledge thingy with a naked chick in a garden. 🙂

        • HessenBalkan December 12th, 2014 at 3:54 pm

Darn and here I thought it was all true…I kept talking at the snakes at the zoo…..I was wondering if I had to take my clothes off to get them to respond!!! lol

          • tracey marie December 12th, 2014 at 4:09 pm

            Try it, take pictures!

          • HessenBalkan December 12th, 2014 at 4:29 pm

Next time! I will send you a copy! :-))))

  13. StoneyCurtisll December 6th, 2014 at 12:03 am

Bill Donohue should spend his time rooting out pedophile priest in the Catholic church rather than worrying about what atheist think.

  14. Larry Schmitt December 6th, 2014 at 12:23 am

“Take your mitts off the Catholics at Christmas.” Another “Christian” who believes they are being persecuted. How do non-religious people “have their mitts” on Catholics any time? Does trying to stop abuse or believing they should be taxed count as “having their mitts” on Catholics? How about trying to prevent priests from literally having their mitts on little boys? He’s complaining about a non-existent problem. And his sum up, “all of this is true.” How about a little proof? Any citations to back up your ridiculous claims? No, I didn’t think so. Go back and fleece your flock some more.

    • burqa December 7th, 2014 at 12:26 am

Larry Schmitt: “Another “Christian” who believes they are being persecuted.”

      I would say “hatred.”
As in here, in this forum, where bigotry is tolerated because of the target.
Aim the same hatred towards Muslims, gays, racial minorities or women and hypocrisy ensues………the fun part comes in the denials……

      • Bunya December 7th, 2014 at 2:19 pm

“…..the fun part comes in the denials……”
Then you really should embrace your bigotry. Sure, we’ll criticize you, but at least we’ll respect you for not trying to deny your inner hatred by projecting it onto others. Take the KKK for example. We hate what they stand for, but respect them for their convictions.

  15. Ron Jackson December 6th, 2014 at 12:42 am

The part that got me was his talking about physical health, really ???? I’ll spot him 100 push ups and see which one of us will be able to get to 120 and we’ll see which on of us will win

    • Larry Schmitt December 6th, 2014 at 1:00 am

And which one drops dead of a heart attack.

    • fancypants December 7th, 2014 at 2:12 am

bill has been instructed by god No push-ups required

  16. Tommy6860 December 6th, 2014 at 1:22 am

I am an atheist and not regurgitating the same inanity that this asshole does, that has been since the bronze age goat herders created the myth to which he adheres.

  17. fancypants December 6th, 2014 at 3:43 am

its good to see bill out of the closet

  18. bpollen December 6th, 2014 at 3:50 am

Can it really be a Catholic “League” if it’s just you? Wouldn’t it be more accurate to call it Pissed Off Catholic Guy? And shouldn’t that name be sung to the chorus of “Family Guy?”

  19. rg9rts December 6th, 2014 at 6:34 am

So speaketh the head of the brain washed… moron

    • burqa December 7th, 2014 at 12:19 am

I, too, think his name-calling was wrong.
      That’s one wrong.
To respond in the same vein brings us two wrongs.
This is not progress, it is regression away from where we need to go.

      • rg9rts December 7th, 2014 at 12:52 am

You take the high road and I’ll follow my own path thankyou

  20. Bunya December 6th, 2014 at 3:55 pm

Yes!! You horrible, horrible liberals refusing to participate in his fictitious “war on Christians” is very detrimental to his physical health, let alone his mental health! Just look at him! He could be the poster boy for both heart failure and dementia! It’s a wonder his fat-addled brain had the strength to construct such BS as to claim that secularists die young, which is contrary to well known Christian folklore that “only the good die young”.

    • burqa December 7th, 2014 at 12:17 am

Looking through this forum, one sees the “war.”
      Kinda hard to miss it.

Meanwhile, in real life, people of differing beliefs I see daily are able to get along quite well without the name-calling, finger-pointing and other invective.
Too bad people here can’t act that way, but that’s not the point of this forum, is it?

There once was a time when Liberaland was a place where people could share differing views and have decent discussions, despite the occasional flamer who would show up.

      • Bunya December 7th, 2014 at 2:08 pm

Well now. If it isn’t liberal land’s most sanctimonious, self-righteous, holier-than-thou, self-proclaimed “not a bigot”, bigot, passing judgement on us. How ironic.

Haven’t you yet enlisted? I hear Bill O’Reilly is still looking for recruits to fight his “war on Christmas”.

      • Bunya December 8th, 2014 at 10:49 am

You’re the last person eligible to pass judgment on us.

  21. Warman1138 December 6th, 2014 at 10:52 pm

Another self professed genius making up things to fit their warped view of others and then calling those opposed crazy……..as most insane people do.

  22. Warman1138 December 6th, 2014 at 11:05 pm

Has anyone seen the latest Noah movie, stupidest movie in the world.

  23. liberalMD December 7th, 2014 at 2:11 am

Who is this guy? And what are his credentials to make such statements?

My perception of non-religious people is that many of them have assessed the issues regarding religion and have made an educated, informed decision not to participate in religion. They have had to overcome the pressures that exist within every religion to believe the doctrine and have enough strength of character to say “No, that’s not for me”.

    • fancypants December 7th, 2014 at 2:18 am

Bill is a prime example to both our elected ( post and present ) that you don’t have to prove education and religion have to coexist. Just do as he says and keep your questions short
