    • Suzanne McFly December 5th, 2014 at 8:26 pm

Duval County is simply southern Georgia, it has a very back wood mentality.

I think Fl has taken it to a high art.

why not blast her out of office by turning a fire hose on her?

  4. Guy Lauten December 5th, 2014 at 9:32 pm

When Dana Carvey invented The Church Lady, he had this woman in mind.
“Maybe we should turn the hoses on them? Wouldn’t that just be special, hmmmm?”

Fox effect #332: Ordinary mortals see their Gods on T.V. getting away with saying outrageous sh*t and feel they too can get away with similar talk.

What scares me is when they take the next step and start shooting while the instigators claim innocence

She seems like a genuinely horrible human being. The type who definitely needs to be flushed out of politics.

Republican silence and tacit approval of racism and its enabling is expected. In order to be a Republican, let alone an elected one; there is an acceptance of racism prerequisite. They cannot publically disown another or disparage a racist martyr. To the mentally ill racist Republican mindset; she is now a fallen hero.

The GOP continues to self destruct.

It’s interesting how it’s only race-baiting racists who call President Obama a race-baiter.

    • Hirightnow December 6th, 2014 at 6:35 am

AH, but calling a race-baiting racist a race-baiting racist makes one a race-baiting racist, in the eyes of the GOP…

You would think saying these things, would hurt their party, but instead, each time one of them
says something cruel, vile, etc. it turns them into some kind of hero in
the republican party, even if it ruins their career (short term) This
is the kind of stuff they thrive on. It makes me sic. WATER CANNONS??? We can start with the people that think it is less lethal than taser etc. Perhaps a direct shot in the eye, a blown eardrum, or being knocked off of your feet, not to mention the absolute humiliation of being sprayed with water (like a dog on your lawn) , might seem ‘not so bad’ to this….. person
It sure conjures up images from days past doesn’t it?

Duval County and Jacksonville are still firmly in the mindset of the Bull Connors of the past. The area is more “deep South” than many parts of Ga, Ala, etc., despite the numerous business and financial interests located there (well, they do represent the 1%).
If anyone wonders why Florida has such terrible politicians, take a look at this area, which always supports the most reich wing, and has a large population.

The double standards in this country know no bounds. Expressing your 2nd amendment rights and black and protesting injustice, you are a thug. Destroying property, pick pocketing, raping after your team wins a championship is “letting off steam and ok.Wake up white people!
