Man Intentionally Rams Missouri Teen With SUV, Kills Him Because He Was A Muslim
A 15-year-old boy died after losing too much blood when his legs were severed in what police believe was an intentional attack because of the victim’s Muslim faith, outside the Somali Center of Kansas City Thursday evening.
[su_center_ad]Abdisamad Sheikh Hussein, who goes by the name “Adam” was getting into a car outside the Somali Center when he was hit by a man driving an SUV at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday, WDAF reports.
Adam was rushed into surgery at a local children’s hospital but did not survive.
His family says he was brain-dead and they decided to take him off life support.
“It became pretty clear that this was not an accidental crash, there is a considerable amount of evidence that leads us to believe it was intentional,” Sergeant Bill Mahoney with KCPD said.
Some witnesses reported that the suspect has a history of hating Muslims and he’s gone as far as pointing a gun at them while threatening to kill them because of their religion.
The FBI has opened the case as a Federal Civil Rights investigation and potential Hate Crime violation.
“A month or two ago he came to the Somali mall, two blocks from here. Things got bad, they started arguing and he pulled a gun,” Abdul Mohamed, a man who knows the victim, said.
Megan Brilley said that Adam Hussein is the son of the Somali Center’s leader.
“Our family is very destroyed at what happened. He’s a sweet, loving kid. He doesn’t deserve this,” Khadra Dirir, the victim’s aunt, said. “I’m pretty sure it’s a hate crime from things I’ve been hearing. I hope that someone brings him to justice.”
The suspect was taken to jail although, he did try to leave the scene.
“He tried to leave the scene but couldn’t get anywhere in the vehicle. He bailed out of it, started running eastbound and was apprehended by officers,” Sgt. Mahoney said.
“He can exercise his First Amendment, but him actually come and try to run over kids, that’s just ridiculous. Like who does that?” Khadra Dirir said.
Another teen in the vehicle was not suffer life threatening injuries in the attack.
Friday is a worldwide day of congregational prayer for Muslims and some were out early Friday morning at Admiral Blvd and the Paseo, where the prayer center is located.
The Heartland Muslim Council released a statement overnight which read, in part:
“Kansas City Muslim community is deeply shocked at the hit and run, apparently intentional assault last evening outside a mosque on Admiral Boulevard in Midtown Kansas City. The attack resulted in the death of a teenager and serious injuries to another teenager. Our thoughts and prayers for the victims and their families and friends.”

Rioting and mowing someone down are two completely different things. People riot out of anger (or strong feelings about sports, pumpkins, and the firing of people that protect pedophiles). People mow down children at their place of worship for the same reason they put bombs in churches…hate.

No such thing is ‘evident’, by any stretch of the imagination.
You do not stop the ‘cycle’ by acknowledging only one group’s participation in the problem while bypassing all other groups that are involved. Try stopping a 6 engine train column by knocking out only 1 engine. It’ll just keep on rolling.

Congress?- by the constitution they are supposed to pass a budget each year, do they? Nahhh, they use cr’s and call it a day(and so many more offenses, from congress down to mayors anymore)
Wealthy?- Nahhh, they use money and power positions to get off of things, he||, they even made up/use an ‘Affluenza’ defence in murder for their kids now…
Poor?- Nahhh, they resist arrest, ruin protests by burning/looting
Journalists?- Nahhh, they repeat stories w/out checking facts, tell what side of the tale that helps their ideology instead of all the facts and let us figure it out…
Law enforcement?- Nahhhh, they don’t police (no pun intended) themselves anywhere near enough to improve their short comings…
What I find amusing is that the very first thing that each and everyone can change, people won’t.. themselves. Some people claim they want a better place, more respect and yet post after post of theirs is nothing but unsolicited insults, vitriolic slings and yet will again cry out how bad the ‘other side’ is. They literally hate the other group while decrying the other group hates them and how wrong that is.
My view is if one want s a better place, wants respect given, wants the hatred to come down, then post like it, post good ideas or explain why a posted idea isn’t a good idea(with out turning the poster into a cinder), give respect in posts, leave the vitriol out of posts.
Why does anyone expect things to improve if no one is improving?

I am strongly opposed to the death penalty, but there are days when my convictions are tested.
The racist right-wing piece of “human” garbage who did this deserves the worst imaginable punishment. Life in prison, yes, but as unpleasant as possible.

I’m for the death penalty in certain cases. Say this case is what it seems on the surface:
1. we will never cure this abomination, we just don’t have the skill set.
so either he agrees to medical testing/experimenting w/new drugs that may cure/be a learning guinea pig
or
2. execute.
In my view, society has a right to protect itself. And he can get out. Legal reasons(been done before), escapes(been done before), weekend waivers(been done before) or even killing other inmates(been done before).
I do not believe it makes sense to pay for his well being just to up his chances of harming society again.
But, this is just my view.
