    The NYPD isn’t looking so good right now and they don’t seem to be doing much about it.

      At this point EVERY police department in this country is suspect imo. There are probably dozens if not hundreds of corrupt police/sheriff departments just waiting to “go off” on someone with their “itchy” trigger fingers…

        It’s an institution that needs to be totally reformed or replaced. We need to come up with an entirely new approach on how we are going to manage to live together peacefully. Giving people excessive fines, people getting thrown in jail, beating people down more and more is not working. Punishment is not solving the problem. Prison is making more hardened criminals. We need to quit hurting and killing Americans and start helping people make something of their lives. We need an entirely new approach of governing based on help, not punishment.
