A video uploaded on YouTube and Facebook shows Mesa, Arizona police officer repeatedly punching and attacking a 15 year old girl while the mother of the teen pleads for them to stop.

[su_center_ad]The Free Thought Project reports:

The young girl, who was reportedly a runaway, was screaming that she couldn’t breathe as her mother attempted to explain to the officers that she has mental problems as well as asthma.

Luis Paul Santiago, the witness who filmed the violent encounter stated that police attempted to delete the video, and the second officer on the scene explained that the officer “behaved correctly” and stated that “if she needed to, she could have shot her dead.”

That’s the reason why protesters are flooding the streets in cities around the world. In each case, police state that they behaved correctly even to the detriment of American citizens. “I can’t breathe” can’t be shouted from the rooftops enough.

Hell, I just posted this on another thread but it is like so apropos, so …

Cops have been turning into evil, thoughtless, callous creatures for awhile now. How long will we tolerate these henchmen of the rich that buy and control our politicians. They defend the rich and oppress the poor. They don’t care anymore about the people they are supposed to be serving and protecting. The video evidence is everywhere but the attorneys hired by the rich make sure it is discounted. Police departments should not be tools of the rich and powerful that don’t care about anybody but themselves. It is time to exercise the evil out of law enforcement. It is time to exercise care and understanding.

Sorry if it seems like a rehash but I think it belongs here.

      An A++ post!

Where the hell does it stop?

      • mea_mark December 6th, 2014 at 8:42 pm

It stops with people demanding new forms of governance and law enforcement. People on the streets protesting and voting in every election. We just seem to have a problem with people voting. Kinda doesn’t make sense since that is the easiest option, but hey, this is America, the land of freedom. If you want to be lazy and oppressed, don’t vote, it’s your freedom to choose.

        • Larry Schmitt December 6th, 2014 at 8:43 pm

Problem is, when the majority don’t vote, it’s not only they that are oppressed.

          • mea_mark December 6th, 2014 at 8:58 pm

And that is the biggest problem today.

It was said best by Friedrich Gustav Emil Martin Niemöller in post war Germany,

“First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—”

“Because I was not a Socialist.”

“Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—”

“Because I was not a Trade Unionist.”

“Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— ”

“Because I was not a Jew.”

“Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.”
            ————————————-
And that is how oppression works.

Barbarians at the gate. The hired mercenaries of the Corporations are growing bold.

In Mesa, running away from home is such a heinous crime that law enforcement punches minors immediately, as a pre-emptive measure.

I hope the dept. Of justice can find the time to investigate and fine these rogue cops. They have gotten out of hand

  5. Warman1138 December 6th, 2014 at 9:41 pm

What really gets me are the comments on other sites like msn. There is always a slew of ” it’s there own fault” because they were being noncompliant, or automatically assumed to be criminals. That is so wrong, nobody deserves to be beaten much less executed by the police over non life threatening situations. Rogue cops? Call it like it is, murdering cops and criminal cops.

    Definitely worth it’s own posting.
The more this information gets out, the more people will get fed up with it all.
I wouldn’t be surprised if 2016 sees a comparatively large (Blue) turnout.

I know the issues with cops aren’t necessarily partisan in nature, but it does seem like the Left would be much more pro-active in ending this kind of distortion of law keeping.

    * [new] Pfft! Tanks are sitting ducks in cities (3+ / 0-)

It is law enforcement that has the death wish if they want to push this all the way to violent insurrection. Molotov cocktails are still an effective way to deal with tanks and troops in body armor. Also, I wonder which nations would help support armed rebels in America? (Not that the US of A has given anyone a reason to want to exact revenge or anything).

The scary thing about revolution in America is that a LOT of other countries would support it out of spite.

But enough talk of violence – this is an economic war.

No one (in gov’t and lawn forcement) seems to be thinking long term: tanks & SWAT teams co$t money and protester-filled down-towns don’t generate much tax revenue (especially after they fire tear gas). Sure the jackboots can lock up all the po’d folk but remember: inmates don’t pay any more taxes than rich folk do … where’s your next pay check coming from?

A page right out of the NYPD play book…

  9. raincheck December 7th, 2014 at 7:41 am

I almost past this up because I can hardly stand it! What can we do? The police are so powerful… you can be targeted by these “THUGS”

  10. Fossil1944 December 7th, 2014 at 8:07 am

There is a day of reckoning coming for this type of abuse, and it is not going to be peace songs and daisies. If you are ask to put your finger on the one thing that will trigger it, of course you couldn’t. It is just that unexplainable sick feeling in the pit of your gut that tells you that something has gone terribly wrong in our country.

when the sh** hits the fan, soldiers and thugs with badges better be on the side of the American citizens, or they will become the first targets. Our forefathers would be shooting by now.
