Pennsylvania Man Videotaped Himself Having Sex With Stepdaughter’s Corpse
A Pennsylvania man is accused of killing his stepdaughter, Jessica Padgett, then videotaping himself having sex with her corpse, Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli said Friday.
Morganelli said the video confirmed what Gregory R. Graf, 53, told investigators on the day he was charged with homicide last month that he wanted to have sex with Padgett, and that he did so after she was dead, Philly.com reports.
The recording was discovered on his computer.
[su_center_ad]Graf killed Padgett by shooting her in the back on the head in order to have sex with her body, Morganelli said.
An abuse-of-corpse charge will be filed against Graf..
Since it’s a misdemeanor, it means Morganelli won’t be able to seek the death penalty because the alleged sexual abuse occurred after she was killed.
There’s something missing here – like the part about murder.
According to the video, Graf committed a variety of sexual acts against his 33-year-old stepdaughter, of Whitehall Township, who once described him as like a second father on social media.
Graf allegedly shot Padgett in the back of the head on Nov. 21 and hid her body on his property while family and friends searched for her.
Police also discovered a marijuana-growing operation on Graf’s property that police discovered as they searched for Padgett, according to Philly.com.
According to The Morning Call, Graf told President Judge Stephen Baratta that he wanted a taxpayer-funded lawyer in order to avoid spending money that his family could otherwise use.
Graf said his assets are held jointly with his wife, Danelle, the mother of Padgett, and he did not want to deplete them.
“Like I said, I just don’t want to take away the funds from the family,” Graf, the owner of a fencing company, said.
Morganelli blasted Graf’s request saying his own financial disclosures to the public defender’s office showed that he can afford to pay for an attorney.
“Mr. Graf has just basically told you that he’d rather waste the taxpayer money on his defense than his own [money],” Morganelli told Baratta.
Jessica’s disappearance prompted an exhaustive search, and a Facebook page dedicated to finding her with 8,248 members. She was a recently married mother of three children.

Short of a tumor or traumatic brain injury, I’m thinking you don’t just wake up at the age of 53 and decide you want to sexually assault a corpse. At least I hope not, I’ve been 53 for a couple of weeks.
My own concerns aside, I find it difficult to think this is the first time something like this has happened involving Graf.

I live in Pennsyltucky and even for our area this is off the effing scale. I have to agree with the others, I cannot image that this is his first murder and I get the sinking feeling that the more they investigate the more horrors they’ll uncover. I mean, he was part of the search party looking for her; acted bereaved, faced her husband, children and they neighbors and lied (convincingly) to them. This is not his first pony ride.

They’ll do the same thing they do with every white shooter. Mental illness; and then blame the system for not noticing sooner. In this particular case I don’t honestly think a lack of a gun would have stopped him, someone who is willing to do what he did…..there is no way that was an accident or heat of the moment action.

I think there are a few missing lines in this article. Such as ‘since the sex acts occurred after the victim’s death, rape cannot be used as ‘special circumstances’ to seek the death penalty’. The murder charge still stands and Morganelli has made it quite clear that he will prosecute this case personally and he does tend to seek the maximum so I would expect him to ask for 60 to life for this fellow, and trust me, the jury pool around here would just as soon take this POS into the woods and save us tax payers the legal fees in exchange for the cost of a bullet.
